Russian Oligarch Who Allegedly Paid Michael Cohen Is Linked to Clinton Foundation and John Podesta

Via Billy

Stormy Daniels’ attorney claimed Tuesday that President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer Michael Cohen received $500,000 from a company controlled by a Russian oligarch, deposited into an account for a company also used to pay off the adult film actress.
Daniels’ attorney, Michael Avenatti, also detailed other transactions he said were suspicious, including deposits from drug giant Novartis, the state-run Korea Aerospace Industries, and AT&T — which confirmed it paid Cohen’s company for “insights” into the Trump administration.
If true, Avenatti’s claims, made in a dossier posted to Twitter, could add a new dimension to the federal investigation into Cohen.

Former Secretary of State John Kerry has been trying to rescue the Iran nuclear deal, meeting with foreign leaders while urging the U.S. to stay in. And one guest on Fox News likened Kerry’s actions to Taliban activity.

Buck Sexton, a former CIA officer, made the remarks to host Brian Kilmeade Tuesday, condemning what he called “shadow diplomacy” by the ex-secretary of state.

“This is something we expect from the Taliban to have a shadow government in place,”  Sexton said.

Click here to sign a WhiteHouse.gov petition to help give President Trump the political backing to fire Attorney General Jefferson Beauregard Sessions. The reasons are many and the time is here.

With the midterm elections fast approaching and the DOJ stonewalling Congressional subpoenas, it may be now or never to get rid of the worst Republican attorney general in recent memory, if not in American history.

Making the Southern Canon

A review of Fifty Southern Writers After 1900: A Bio-bibliographical Sourcebook. Ed. by Joseph M. Flora and Robert Bain. Greenwood Press, 1987.

A few years ago, before I had been sold upriver to Clemson, some colleagues and I were busily devising a graduate reading list for the Ph.D. program in English at the University of Southern Mississippi. (I had been assigned “American Literature Since World War II.”) When another professor walked into the room and asked what we were doing, I grandly announced: “Making the literary canon.” And, of course, that’s exactly what we were doing. Neither bestseller status nor favorable mention in the literary reviews assures an author of immortality. It is only when he passed into the university curriculum that he belongs to the ages. The fact that writers, like saints, can occasionally be bumped from the canon (a fate shared by Longfellow and Saint Patrick), only proves the awesome power wielded by the church fathers of academia. This is as true of Southern literature as of any other genre.

Bret Easton Ellis: ‘Leftist Hysteria,’ Thought Police Will Create Many More Kanyes

Not having political discussions with anyone anymore. Done. Too much insanity. Another dinner ruined. People are fucking crazy. Get a grip.

Screenwriter and author Bret Easton Ellis believes there’s a backlash brewing against “leftist hysteria” in Hollywood and sees a future where more celebrities, such as Kanye West, rebel against the liberal orthodoxy that has taken over Tinseltown.

“As someone who considers themselves a disillusioned Gen-X’er, I think there IS a backlash brewing against leftist hysteria. What I used to semi-align myself with has no answers for anything right now, just constant bitching and finding ways to delegitimize an election,” Ellis told the Observer.

“That is not a plan for 2020, and if I was a hardcore Democrat I’d be very worried despite the blue wave of 2018, that may or may not fully arrive,” the American Psycho said.

President Trump experienced an increase in the polls for the first four months of this year, even though 90 percent of broadcast news coverage of him during that period was negative, according to a study.

The study from the Media Research Center (MRC) looked at how each of the major broadcast networks covered Trump from January 1, 2018, to April 30, 2018, and found that 90 percent of the comments about Trump on those programs were negative.

“The coverage totaled a whopping 1,774 minutes, or roughly one-third of all evening news airtime,” said Rich Noyes, a senior analyst at the Media Research Center.

The North Carolina Chinese Hunting Club

When closing time nears, local Chinese restaurant owners say they must quickly decide whether to greet people approaching the entrance doors with a welcoming smile or a drawn gun.

Their fears continue after they lock up for the night, checking their rear-view mirrors for headlights as they drive home. They want to make sure robbers aren't following them.

Dozens of Chinese business owners in the Triangle say they have felt targeted by thieves for so long that they have turned to firearms, including AR-15 assault-style rifles, to defend their livelihoods and their families. About 100 small-business owners have banned together to form the North Carolina Chinese Hunting Club to train in shooting techniques.

“They're changing their mentality,” said John Wang, a local business owner who translated into English for four other Chinese business owners. "Now, they're going to start shooting back.”

The Nuclear Option: John Kerry Caught Colluding with Foreign Enemy to Undermine the USA

Via Billy

The last time Sen. John McCain lay dying, he was in a North Vietnamese prison cell having been brutally tortured.

Over the propaganda loudspeaker, one of Mr. McCain’s fellow prisoners of war would later recall, the brave Americans heard the voice, clearly, that of an American, testifying before Congress that it was the American forces like John McCain — not the North Vietnamese — who were committing torture and murder over in Vietnam.

American servicemen “personally raped, cut off ears, cut off heads, taped wires from portable telephones to human genitals and turned up the power, cut off limbs, blown up bodies, randomly shot at civilians, razed villages in fashion reminiscent of Genghis Khan, shot cattle and dogs for fun, poisoned food stocks, and generally ravaged the countryside of South Vietnam,” claimed the American, reportedly a U.S. Navy officer.

Trump pulls US out of Iran nuke deal

President Trump on Tuesday announced he will not renew sanctions waivers for the Iran nuclear deal, taking a step that could lead to the deal’s unraveling.

“I am announcing today that the United States will withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal,” Trump said from the Diplomatic Room in the White House.

Keeping with the promise he made in January, Trump announced he has decided against continuing to wave sanctions as laid out in a 2015 pact between the United States, Iran, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Russia and China.

Trump said he would sign an order to “begin reinstating U.S. nuclear sanctions on Iran” and also promised to impose “the highest level of economic sanctions,” including measures that could target nations doing business with Iran.

MEMORANDUM FOR THE ATTORNEY GENERAL

In 1973, the Department concluded that the indictment or criminal prosecution of a sitting President would impermissibly undermine the capacity of the executive branch to perform its constitutionally assigned functions. We have been asked to summarize and review the analysis provided in support of that conclusion, and to consider whether any subsequent developments in the law lead us today to reconsider and modify or disavow that determination.1 We believe that the conclusion reached by the Department in 1973 still represents the best interpretation of the Constitution.
