Finland At 100—Frozen By Fear, Dragged To A Multicultural Grave

Via L

In the early hours of 28th September 1994, a pleasure ship, MS Estonia, sank in the Baltic Sea. Of the 989 people on board, a staggering 852 died. Bizarrely, some 650 were found below decks—unable to believe what was happening, they had made no attempt to save their lives.

Why? One possibility: humans used to be prey, so where there is an inescapable threat, it is natural to freeze. But this was only in an inescapable threat in the victims’ minds: many people did escape, leaving behind paralyzed friends and relatives.

Another explanation: these northern people—strongly adapted to cold environments—are high in anxiety. This makes them plan for the future and be deeply concerned about how others see them, creating profoundly harmonious societies. But it also it means they’re more likely to be emotionally overwhelmed, leading to high suicide rates—14 suicides per 100,000 deaths in Finland in 2015 and Estonia, only 7 in the UK—and withdrawal from reality. They have evolved to be trusting, obeying their leaders and the rules, completely maladapted to a savanna-like situation of utter chaos.

Burns Chronicles No 62 Jon Ritzheimer, Facebook, and Justice

https://i2.wp.com/outpost-of-freedom.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/Jon-Ryan-BundyRanch.jpg

Jon Ritzheimer was scheduled to report to prison on February 16, 2018 to serve his year and a day, less time served and good time off.  That would probably amount to about 8 months.  He had time to prepare things for his family, to make their life easier while he was in prison.  He also had work to do to make sure that he got on the ballot in his run to replace the retiring representative, Trent Franks.  Jon’s goal was to be fully prepared to go to prison in February

However, a single event and a Facebook post have undermined his planned preparations.  Though he had been abiding by all of the rules imposed on him, a simple trip within the same county of where he was approved to go has undermined all of his efforts and goodness.

Once again, Facebook was the downfall of a good man.  There is no doubt that his Facebook page is monitored, and once the monitors saw the picture (above), they probably gleefully contacted Judge Anna Brown and reported that Jon was, finally, in violation of his release conditions.

Judge Brown then sent the following chastisement and order to the respective attorneys.  I have not spoken to Payne about this, though you will see that he has lost a major part of his freedom, as well.

Considering the restrictions imposed on their freedoms, it would seem that they should get credit for time served, or at worst, half credit for time served, as a consequence of this absolute denial of freedom of movement and communication, and consequences for violation thereof.

Workers in cities with the lowest unemployment rates in the country are also finally experiencing strong wage growth, according to a new analysis of Labor Department data.

Large cities including Denver; San Jose, California; Minneapolis; and Austin, Texas, have unemployment rates below 4 percent and are experiencing wage growth of at least double the 2 percent national average, the Wall Street Journal reported Monday.

DARPA hopes to swarm drones out of C-130s in 2019 test

Swarms of small drones launched and recovered mid-air from transport and bomber aircraft are on the Department of Defense’s dream sheet over the next few years.

The Defense Advanced Research Project Agency plans to demonstrate the ability to launch and recover swarms of drones from a C-130 sometime in 2019, according to statements by the agency and by General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, one of two companies contracted to design prototype of the drones. The other is Dynetics.

The test would serve as a major leap into the next phase of testing for DARPA’s Gremlins program.

Defiant Iran protesters steal Revolutionary Guard's trousers even as death toll mounts

The Basij militiaman, a paramilitary storm trooper of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard, was reportedly swinging an electric shock baton when the crowd of angry protesters closed in around him.

"They got a Basij, hold him!” one man shouted as the demonstrators pulled away the militiaman’s baton and knocked him to the ground in the largely Kurdish city of Kermanshah.

But rather than beat the man to death, the crowd struck a different kind of blow against Iran’s authoritarian regime: they stripped him of his trousers and sent him stumbling and humiliated into the cold night.

“The protesters wanted to show that they are peaceful but that they are not weak and they are not afraid,” said Raman Ghavami, an Iranian analyst who has been tracking the protest.

Despite An All Out Assault, the Confederacy Marches On

Via Susan

Many of you have probably seen the latest hit piece from one of the Anti-Confederate bloggers, claiming that 2017 will go down as the "year the monuments came down". The haters and monument destroyers are declaring total victory and dancing in the streets.

Most people in the heritage community know all too well that symbols of Confederate history have been targeted for removal since the Charleston tragedy in 2015. Although the perpetrator of that atrocity had nothing to do with Confederate heritage, those who hate our heritage saw an opportunity and seized it.

There had been calls for removal of flags and monuments, and renaming of streets and parks for several years, but the calls grew louder and more strident after 2015. The Southern Poverty Law Center devoted a great deal of time and effort to charting the monuments' locations -- and slandering them as tokens of Jim Crowism due to the time periods in which they were erected.

What the SPLC doesn't admit is the fact that the "spikes" in their chart showing periods of monument raising coincided with the 25th, 50th and 100th anniversaries of the War Between the States, not Jim Crow legislation.

Non-White Births in France in 2016
This is an update of the original article which has been published yearly since 2012 in various alternative outlets (the 2012 version in English, German, Dutch and French). It traces the ongoing demographic displacement of the French people based on official French medical data on sickle cell disease. In 2016, the year for which the latest figures are available, 40 percent of newborns in mainland France were of non-European origin and their number is steadily rising.

Geographically one finds France in Europe, but demographically the country is swiftly drifting towards Africa as recent data indicates. France, unlike America, does not hold censuses on ethnicity, but follows instead its ideal of the color-blind republic. This, obviously, does not change one bit the ethnic reality on the ground, but it certainly helps to keep its citizens in the dark about it. Little in the way of official figures exists on the size of the immigrant population and the native French — until recently. Pertinent material has come from quite an unexpected source, medicine, and it has all the hallmarks of allowing us an adequately precise and unbiased look into the strong growth of the non-White population in France.

Hillary Clinton’s personal doctor lied about how sick she was in 2016

Via David

When then-presidential candidate Hillary Clinton had her famous fainting episode, which necessitated her being spirited away from a campaign rally and helped into her waiting van, her personal physician played down the event, writing it off to a bout of pneumonia.

Not everyone in the medical community was convinced, however. The day after Clinton’s public collapse, a New York Times reporter who boasts an M.D. after his name suggested she was sicker than her doctor was letting on and that further tests needed to be administered.

The one-sided din over taxes: The new law is filled with positive provisions that go unmentioned because they don’t fit the media narrative

President Donald Trump displays the $1.5 trillion tax overhaul package he had just signed, Friday, Dec. 22, 2017, in the Oval Office of the White House in Washington. As we stand on the threshold of a new year, a phrase from Simon and Garfunkel’s song “The Boxer” sums up why America’s division into two warring worldviews seems to be widening.

“A man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest.” That’s true for most folks, thanks to human nature.

However, we’re not on an equal playing field. The whole thing is tilted to the left. Liberal news and entertainment are everywhere, including airport lounges where thousands of travelers each day are afflicted with CNN’s non-stop propaganda.

If you don’t go out of your way to get some balance, you might think, for instance, that the tax cut bill signed by President Trump does one thing only: It kicks the middle class and the poor into the gutter, where they’re splashed with dirty, icy water as rich people guzzling Dom Perignon speed by in limos to celebrate at four-star restaurants.

Every day, led by The Washington Post and The New York Times, the media relentlessly portray the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act as a sop to the rich and an attack on the poor and middle class, even though the poor pay no federal taxes and an estimated 80 percent of taxpayers will see immediate cuts in 2018.

Dated.

Crime is a prominent issue in South Africa. South Africa has a very high rate of murders, assaults, rapes (adult, child and infant), and other crimes compared to most countries. Most emigrants from South Africa state that crime was a big factor in their decision to leave

Trump: He’s no Throne Sniffer

There is so much to love about President Trump that it is hard to settle on the single greatest thing about the 45th president.

His name is not “Hillary Clinton,” has to be in the top 10 best things about him. Nor is his name “John Kasich.” Even better.

His scathing disdain for Republicans in Washington was surpassed only by his abhorrence of Democrats in Washington. His joyful willingness to make a complete mockery of everything the political establishment holds dear is pretty sweet, too.

There is not a classier tweeter in the history of electricity. That’s got to be pretty high up there, too.

Press wags clutch their pearls in horror every time the great presidential thumbs get to tweeting. The press stooges gasp over his use of social media for shameless self-promotion.

Seriously, guys? You are scolding someone else for using Twitter for shameless self-promotion?
