Oh My! :) ‘USA Today’ Warns of ‘Chainsaw Bayonet’ AR-15 Attachments

USA Today warned Americans on Wednesday of the possibility that a chainsaw bayonet could be strapped to an AR-15 rifle.

In a video posted to its Twitter page, the news publication attempted to explain the AR-15 rifle to its readership. The video detailed random components of an AR-15 like the trigger, buttstock, handguard, and sights but not other integral parts like the upper receiver, lower receiver, or grip.

It then showed a seemingly random collection of "possible modifications" to the AR-15, "some common, some rare." Examples included in the video were a 100-round magazine, shotgun attachment, and a novelty trigger crank. Then, seemingly out of nowhere, the publication warned of the existence of a chainsaw bayonet.

In a speech on the House floor Wednesday, Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) called for special counsel Robert Mueller to resign or be fired over his “indisputable conflicts of interest.”

“We are at risk of a coup d'état in this country if we allow an unaccountable person with no oversight to undermine the duly-elected President of the United States,” Gaetz said. “That is precisely what is happening right now with the indisputable conflicts of interest that are present with Mr. Mueller and others at the Department of Justice.”

“I join … in calling for Mr. Mueller’s resignation or his firing,” Gaetz continued.

Air Force Academy discovers racial slurs were hoax, months after superintendent lauded for tough speech

A racist message posted outside an Air Force Academy dorm in September was written by one of the alleged victims, the school confirmed Tuesday, casting blaring initial coverage of the incident -- which lauded the school superintendent's forceful reaction in an apparent bid to ding President Trump -- in a new light.

The student who wrote the slurs, which were discovered in September outside the rooms of five black students at an Air Force Academy dormitory in Colorado Springs, Colo., was no longer at the school, the Academy confirmed. A spokesman declined to say whether the student withdrew or was expelled, citing privacy laws. The student’s name was not released.

In a written statement Tuesday, the academy said: "We can confirm that one of the cadet candidates who was allegedly targeted by racist remarks written outside of their dorm room was actually responsible for the act. The individual admitted responsibility and this was validated by the investigation."

Trump's first year: Liberals keep screaming (and dreaming)

Via Billy

New Yorkers will scream helplessly at the sky.

Twitter users are posting pretty pictures of how they viewed life a year ago, next to horrific, blood-filled scenes of what they feel today.

An odd couple delightfully known as Pussy Power and Indivisible Brooklyn Do or Die will obstruct traffic outside Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue to show they are “still here and still pissed.”

These are just a few of the juvenile protests that mark the one-year anniversary of Donald Trump’s election. If they seem too silly to take seriously, they are.

Unless, that is, you are the mainstream media in today’s United States, which regards anything negative about the president as front-page news.

A Point of Resolve

 http://www.astrophoto.com/images2/walkingpoint.jpg

The leftists always excuse their heroes of their imperfections with the admonition that we are all human. Only conservatives are not allowed those same human imperfections. It is part of the double standard that is inherent to leftism that most conservatives have learned to dismiss. It is that willing participation in the hypocrisy that should first be destroyed, if there is any interest in winning the cultural war.

The Harvey Weinstein sexual assaults that have now been widely publicized have led to an illumination of the left's hypocrisy to the point that Weinstein has now been denounced by some of his greatest supporters and that is a good start, but only a start. Conservatives don't have television or the movies, but they do have talk radio as a great platform and a few influential freelancers like James O'Keefe and Dinesh D'Souza. There are a few powerful lobbying groups like the NRA and GOA. There are even a few powerful billionaires on the conservative side like the Koch brothers and the Mercers, but nothing like the power of silicon valley and old-money liberals.

Fox News Guest Wears Pro-Gun T-Shirt During Segment on Texas Church Shooting

Fox News’ Laura Ingraham had a pair of guests on to talk about the recent shooting at First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, Texas.

Mike Jordan, a local, was one of the guests. His son witnessed the church shooting. Jordan wasn’t shy about voicing his opinion that had somebody been armed inside the church, lives could have been saved.

Jordan said his son might have been that person, but while he usually carries, he didn’t on this day thinking a church would be a safe place.

“A small town like this, you know, people go to church, they disarm, leave their guns in the car, because you don’t expect something like this to happen,” he explained. “What if this was the day he didn’t leave that firearm at home? What if he did take it with him?”

Jordan’s pro-Second Amendment views should have been clear from the start, as he was sporting an epic t-shirt during the segment. It read, “Buy a gun. Annoy a liberal.”

Did Comey obstruct justice by protecting Hillary Clinton from prosecution?

Former FBI Director James Comey’s explanation for not prosecuting Hillary Clinton was always improbable. Now it seems impossible.

Former FBI Director James Comey’s explanation for not prosecuting Hillary Clinton was always improbable. Now it seems impossible.

The Espionage Act makes it a crime to mishandle classified documents “through gross negligence” (18 USC 793-f). Punishment upon conviction carries a penalty of up to 10 years in prison.

With 110 emails on Clinton’s private server that were classified at the time they were sent or received, the Democratic nominee for president could have been prosecuted on 110 separate felony counts. Yet Comey scuttled the case.

But a story in The Hill this week by John Solomon says a newly discovered document shows that then-FBI Director Comey authored a draft statement accusing Clinton of mishandling classified documents and being “grossly negligent.”

Roads and railways in Catalonia have been brought to a halt by a general strike protesting for the freedom of politicians and campaigners currently detained over the region’s pro-independence drive.

On Wednesday morning the A-2 and AP-7 highways were closed at several points in or around Barcelona, as was the busy Ronda de Dalt ring road.

According to the Catalan transport authority, a total of 66 sections of roads were affected by 10am, with the locations ranging from Barcelona to Tarragona, Lleida and Girona.

When Trump and his wife Melania land in the Chinese capital Wednesday, they will join President Xi Jinping and his wife, Peng Liyuan, for a tour of the Forbidden City, the historic palace that housed Chinese emperors and their families for almost 500 years.

Trump is expected to dine with Xi inside the Jianfu Palace, although the exact location of the dinner hasn't been confirmed. The building dates back to the eighteenth century and was fully restored in 2005, making it one of the most well-preserved parts of the palace complex.

Wherever he dines in the Forbidden City, Trump will be the first foreign leader to have an official dinner in the palace since the founding of the People's Republic in 1949.

BuzzFeed Journalist: Recognizing Victims of Communism Is a ‘White Nationalist Talking Point’

Memo to gobsmackingly ignorant Buzzfeed moron @blakersdozen - Victims of Communism foundation & memorial give voice to 100 MILLION oppressed people around the world, from China to Vietnam to Cambodia to Cuba to Hungary to the Ukraine. Get a freaking clue.http://victimsofcommunism.org/events/victims-of-communism-centennial-commemoration/
A BuzzFeed News reporter was castigated Tuesday night after he said that recognizing the victims of communism over the past century is a "white nationalist talking point."

The White House announced hours earlier that it was designating Nov. 7 as the National Day for the Victims of Communism in recognition of the 100th anniversary of the Bolshevik Revolution in Russia.

"Over the past century, communist totalitarian regimes around the world have killed more than 100 million people and subjected countless more to exploitation, violence, and untold devastation," the press release said. "These movements, under the false pretense of liberation, systematically robbed innocent people of their God-given rights of free worship, freedom of association, and countless other rights we hold sacrosanct."

But BuzzFeed tech reporter Blake Montgomery wrote on Twitter that President Donald Trump was playing into a white supremacist meme by recognizing "victims of communism."

CBO says repealing Obamacare's individual mandate penalties would save $338 billion

The Congressional Budget Office on Wednesday said that repealing Obamacare's individual mandate penalties would save $338 billion over the next decade, providing a potential injection of money to help finance Republican tax reform efforts.

The CBO acknowledged Wednesday that it was revisiting its methodology around the repeal of the individual mandate, but that changes would not be included in a full report set to be released later in the afternoon. Keith Hall, CBO director, said in a blog post that the evaluation was still underway by his agency and by the Joint Committee on Taxation.

As I've said many times, the Communist government makes the Thieu government look lily white.

The White House has confirmed that President Donald Trump will be attending the upcoming Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) meetings in Da Nang, Vietnam on November 11-12.  Most of APEC's key activities will be held at the InterContinental Da Nang Sun Peninsula Resort.  The resort is owned by the Vietnam Sun Group, which, in collusion with the corrupt and unelected government of Da Nang City, stole the land on which it is built from the 142-year-old Catholic parish of Con Dau and the surrounding Catholic community.

On May 4, 2010, the Da Nang City government sent hundreds of police troops, including paramilitary "anti-riot" units, to assault parishioners and their families with tear gas, metal batons, electric rods, and rubber bullets as they attended the funeral of a 93-year-old church member.  The city police stole the casket and the corpse; beat up more than 100 mourners, including children, pregnant women, and the elderly; and desecrated hundreds of their ancestors' tombs.  Sixty-two Catholic parishioners were arrested and tortured, and six were later sentenced to prison.  One man who escaped the onslaught was later arrested, and died the following day from torture-induced injuries.  Many of the Con Dau parishioners were left homeless and penniless, with no means to sustain their lives and those of their families.

Kassam: The Republican Swamp Got the Loss they Wanted, Now They’re Going to Try and Tame Us

True, but doesn't explain the many Virginia House of Delegate seats the Dems won.   Foreboding for next year unless the R's get off their butts.  As someone stated the other day, the R's might as well give the D's the majority if they don't pass legislation as they will lose it next year anyway.

2018 Generic Congressional Vote Democrats +9.8

***************************

Earlier on Tuesday, Republicans Under Notional Terms (RUNTs) like Bill Kristol and Evan McMullin took to social media to discourage people thinking of voting for Ed Gillespie.

They wouldn’t have made a massive impact, if any, in the race. But they got what they really wanted: a Democrat Virginia Governor, an “upset” for the Republican Party under Trump, and a chance to pretend “this is a sign we need moderate candidates!”

Bizarrely — laughably even — the pair decided that former lobbyist Ed Gillespie was TOO pro-Trump. Ha!

The truth couldn’t be more opposite if it tried. Gillespie, as Trump noted late on Tuesday night, was scarcely a MAGA candidate. And the operation the Virginia GOP put down in the state was nowhere near the Obama for America-style blitzkrieg campaign they needed to win.

Obama Administration made decisions while FBI knew criminality was going on by Russia’s ROSATOM

Earlier this week, Fox News host Sean Hannity sent out a cryptic tweet, telling his followers “Tick Tock. Stay tuned.”

The messaged sparked speculation as to what new bombshell would be dropped and upon whom.

Our own authors speculated that the message might involve an update on the Uranium One scandal, a scandal involving the 2010 approval of the sale of a Canadian mining company to Russia’s Rosatom nuclear company.

The deal gave Russia control of a significant portion of the uranium supply in the United States. It was a deal that legal analyst and Fox News attorney Gregg Jarrett said “somebody’s got to go to jail” over.

Six months ago, the Va Flaggers leased space for a billboard in Charlottesville, Virginia for November, 2017.  At the time, it was the first available opening and our intentions were to run a billboard exposing Wes Bellamy’s immoral and indecent behavior, and Charlottesville City Council’s vote to violate state law in attempting to remove the Robert E. Lee monument from LEE Park.  As the time for production drew near, and in light of recent events in the city, we decided to change course and use an entirely different approach.
