Investigator: ‘Donna Brazile is in a Category of Persons of Interest as it Relates to the Death of Seth Rich’

Via Billy

In a shocking series of text messages sent to Fox News reporter Malia Zimmerman by private investigator Rod Wheeler, he describes being “startled” by Donna Brazile, and states that her behavior “makes me think that Donna Brazile is in a category of persons of interest as it relates to the death of Seth Rich.”

The day before Fox News published their now-retracted story about Rich being the source of the Democratic National Committee emails released by WikiLeaks, Wheeler wrote to Zimmerman.

Wheeler explained how Brazile had called the police department after he met with the lead detective on the case.

The Google employee behind a ten-page viewpoint diversity manifesto that went viral online has been fired.

James Damore, whose manifesto criticizing the politically correct corporate culture at Google prompted outrage from left-wing employees and social justice warriors online, revealed that he had been fired in an email to Breitbart Tech on Monday evening.

In his email to Breitbart Tech, Damore claimed, “They just fired me for ‘perpetuating gender stereotypes.'”

Damore’s writing has revealed a divided Google, in which some employees agree with his outlook, but are afraid to speak out for fear of repercussions from social justice warriors in the company, such as being added to blacklists.

In a memo sent to employees, Google CEO Sundar Pichai reportedly claimed that Damore had violated their Code of Conduct.

Earlier in the day we reported on free speech social media platform Gab, which expressed interest in hiring Damore if he was fired from Google.

What a US nuclear strike on North Korea would look like

Via Billy

Responding Monday to new U.N. sanctions, North Korea threatened a nuclear attack on the United States.

Speaking at the ASEAN summit in Manila, North Korea's foreign minister spoke of "intercontinental attack capabilities" that meant his nation could teach the U.S. a "severe lesson with its nuclear strategic force." Doubling down, North Korea's state news agency suggested that "There is no bigger mistake than the United States believing that its land is safe across the ocean."

In the context of North Korea's rapidly advancing intercontinental ballistic missile program, these threats cannot be ignored.

Still, North Korean officials would do well to remind themselves of the nuclear threat they currently face.

The U.S. Army won't scrub the names of Confederate generals from a base in New York City, military officials told Congress.

A group of Democratic lawmakers asked the Army in June to rename a pair of streets at Fort Hamilton, in Brooklyn, which currently honoring Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson, part of a broader effort to take down Confederate memorials across the country. But the Army rebuffed the appeal.

"After over a century, any effort to rename memorializations on Fort Hamilton would be controversial and divisive," Diane Rendon, an official in the Army's bureau of manpower and reserve affairs, wrote in a July 20 letter. "This is contrary to the nation's original intent in naming these streets, which was the spirit of reconciliation."

Attorney General Sessions Releases Statement After City of Chicago Sued Justice Department

Via Billy

Attorney General Jeff Sessions today issued the following statement on the city of Chicago’s lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Justice for withholding federal funds due to sanctuary city status:

“No amount of federal taxpayer dollars will help a city that refuses to help its own residents.

“This administration is committed to the rule of law and to enforcing the laws established by Congress. To a degree perhaps unsurpassed by any other jurisdiction, the political leadership of Chicago has chosen deliberately and intentionally to adopt a policy that obstructs this country’s lawful immigration system. They have demonstrated an open hostility to enforcing laws designed to protect law enforcement — Federal, state, and local — and reduce crime, and instead have adopted an official policy of protecting criminal aliens who prey on their own residents. This is astounding given the unprecedented violent crime surge in Chicago, with the number of murders in 2016 surpassing both New York and Los Angeles combined. The city’s leaders cannot follow some laws and ignore others and reasonably expect this horrific situation to improve.

Footage of German 16yo ‘ISIS bride’ capture emerges online

Via Billy

The video of the capture of a runaway 16-year-old German girl who fled her home state and joined ISIS has emerged online. Locals from her hometown told RT that the teen deserves a second chance, expressing concerns over the radicalization of German youths.

The footage shows the visibly scared and partly crying girl paraded through the street and the baying Iraqi soldiers holding her by the arms.

Linda Wenzel, dubbed the “Jihadi Bride” or “ISIS bride,” was snatched in July in the ruins of Islamic State’s (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) former “capital” Mosul, and is now being held in an Iraqi prison.
She may face the death penalty for joining the terrorist group.

The girl is originally from a small town in eastern Germany, Pulsnitz, near Dresden. She converted to Islam at the age of 15 after getting radicalized online, fled to Iraq and apparently married a Chechen IS terrorist.

Trouble draining the swamp? Try returning power to the states

The words “drain the swamp” echoed through many a convention center during Donald Trump’s conquest for the highest office in the land. For better or worse, the phrase is now commonplace in the American lexicon, serving as a battle cry for those who feel ignored and betrayed by their elected officials on Capitol Hill.

While then-candidate Trump’s message was referring to career politicians and the stereotypes of smoke-filled back rooms, the legislature is just the tip of the bureaucratic iceberg. At least at the end of every two and six year periods, the American people can chose a new congressman or senator. To truly drain the swamp, the White House needs to take a serious look at addressing the ever-growing class of political appointees the administrative state.

Manchin: ‘I Don’t Give A Sh*t’ About Reelection

West Virginia Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin is up for re-election in 2018 but said Sunday he does not give a sh*t about being reelected.

“I don’t give a sh*t, you understand? I just don’t give a sh*t,” he said in an interview with Charleston Gazette Mail. “Don’t care if I get elected, don’t care if I get defeated, how about that. If they think because I’m up for election, that I can be wrangled into voting for sh*t that I don’t like and can’t explain, they’re all crazy.”

Manchin’s comments come as he and three other Senate Democrats refused to sign a letter establishing the party line on tax reform.

False River

—For Olivia Pass,
and for Patric

It’s wide, impressive, but it’s false—really an oxbow lake,
formed when the Mississippi, on its own, changed
its course, three hundred years ago or so, chopping off a loop,
leaving to the west a “Pointe Coupée”— an “island”
and a flowing C.  Farther north a bit, there’s “Old River”
too, another oxbow, designed by Cap’n Shreve, a shortcut,
practical, for shipping; then, at its other end, “Three Rivers,”
a third detour and a canal linking the great Meschacébé

to the Red and Atchafalaya.   A pirogue could get lost here,
drifting, ghostly, trapped by river fogs, trees, brambles,
old shacks, derelicts.  In contrast, we arrive sanely by way
of St. Francisville, crossing the river on the Audubon Bridge
to New Roads, “Le Chemin Neuf.”  Listed buildings draw
the eye: a former bank, restored, an old store, the courthouse
(Romanesque revival), and LeJeune Plantation.  Oh,
and there’s St. Mary’s Church, a red-brick neo-Gothic beauty!

The Atrophy of Civilization

Via David

“The curse of every ancient civilization was that its men in the end became unable to fight. Materialism, luxury, safety, even sometimes an almost modern sentimentality, weakened the fibre of each civilized race in turn; each became in the end a nation of pacifists, and then each was trodden under foot by some ruder people that had kept the virile fighting power the lack of which makes all other virtues useless and sometimes even harmful.”
— President Theodore “Teddy” Roosevelt

THE GREAT HEARTBEAT

In a fantastic lecture (1 hour, 44 minutes) by Bill Whittle, The Assault On Civilizational Structures, he talks about many things. At about 53:02 he starts to discuss the critical threat facing our civilization; he discusses the heartbeat of civilizations, and how civilizations start, rise slowly, accelerate, and then the collapse happens almost overnight. The pattern is very clear time and again. The question is why.

"In places we have differences, we're going to have to continue to find ways to address those.

The History of the North Carolina Gazette, Our State’s First Newspaper

Via Sister Anne

North Carolina was one of the last colonies to have a printer’s office, opening operations in New Bern in 1749. Two years later, on August 9, 1751, the first issue of the North Carolina Gazette was born.

Despite our state’s long-running reputation for award-winning local and regional news publications, North Carolina and Georgia were in fact the last two of the original colonies to establish a printing press. North Carolinians mainly relied on Virginia and South Carolina newspapers to keep up with current affairs, as it had economic ties to Williamsburg and Charleston. The Virginia Gazette, established by William Parks, was highly regarded at the time.

Revolver Revival: Resurgence in Wheelguns

Clearly, the most innovative gun in the group is the Ruger LCR. It features a blacked stainless steel chassis for the barrel and cylinder and a polymer frame that houses the fire controls and grip frame.

The cylinder fluting is also a departure from the norm, giving it a futuristic look for a revolver, provided a revolver can look futuristic. The polymer frame allows light weight. The LCR is the lightest gun in the group with a weight of just over 17 ounces.

Elvis and the Zippin Pippin

Life, for many of us, might be described as a series of sometimes gut-wrenching, sometimes thrilling and sometimes glee-inducing ups and downs.

But few of us learn that lesson as early as did Glen Coleman, who spent his first days on earth in the literal shadow of a roller coaster.

When Coleman was born, his parents lived in one of the more eccentric dwellings in Memphis housing history: a tiny two-room-plus-bath-and-kitchenette home tucked beneath the struts and drops of the Pippin, the clattery wooden roller coaster at the old Mid-South Fairgrounds that achieved international celebrity among its scream-generating peers as Elvis Presley's favorite amusement park ride.

Bill Kristol, the “Never Trump” saboteur and top national security adviser H.R. McMaster ally, is apparently scheming with failed Jeb Bush consultant Mike Murphy to primary or oust President Donald Trump in 2020.

According to a Saturday New York Times report, Kristol “said he had begun informal conversations about creating a ‘Committee Not to Renominate the President.’”

“We need to take one shot at liberating the Republican Party from Trump, and conservatism from Trumpism,” Kristol said.

Scalawag Tillis says bill to protect Mueller is response to Trump, about Justice Dept.

Comment by Hawk1776 on CNN: Mueller's investigation of Trump is going too...

I am baffled how this investigation can happen to a Republican President when the Republican Party controls both the House of Representatives and the Senate, and the Department of Justice. It's as if the 2016 election never happened. Nor do I understand how our Senator, Thom Tillis, would propose a bill to provide cover for Robert Mueller. Do we have a RINO Senator? I do understand, however, that the Democrats are laughing their asses off.

Sen. Thom Tillis on Sunday defended his bill to protect special counsel Robert Mueller and made clear the measure was to protect Mueller from being fired by President Trump in his investigation into whether the president or his campaign colluded with Russia to influence the outcome of the 2016 White House race.

“There's no question that it is,” Tills, R-N.C., told “Fox News Sunday.

In a Facebook post published Friday, Craig “Sawman” Sawyer, a Marine veteran, former Navy SEAL, sniper, combat instructor and the owner of Tactical Insider, warned of a “gruesome massacre” if President Trump is removed from office.

“I’m hearing serious rumblings of a hostile, illegal coup against our democratically elected President by seditious, deep-state subversives funded by Soros & other globalists. Very disturbing,” he wrote, adding:
