DeSantis Names Ben Rhodes As Source of White House Leaks - Demands Investigation of Comey: Calls for purge of Obama holdovers

Via Billy

The chairman of the House National Security Subcommittee is calling on the Department of Justice to launch a formal investigation into former FBI Director James Comey's alleged leak of classified information, according to an exclusive interview with the Washington Free Beacon in which the lawmaker also called on the Trump administration to purge all former Obama administration holdovers from government.

Rep. Ron DeSantis (R., Fla.), a member of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform and chair of its National Security subcommittee, is urging Attorney General Jeff Sessions to launch a full scale investigation into Comey's handling of a series of potentially classified memos that were leaked to the press earlier this year.

Many journalists reacted breathlessly to a New York Times report on Sunday revealing that President Trump’s oldest son, Donald Trump Jr., met with a Russian lawyer who indicated she had damaging information about Hillary Clinton.

Donald Jr. admitted to the June 2016 meeting — to which he brought campaign chairman Paul Manafort and Trump adviser Jared Kushner — but downplayed its significance. “Obviously I’m the first person on a campaign to ever take a meeting to hear info about an opponent,” he wrote on Twitter Monday morning, adding that the meeting “went nowhere” but that he “had to listen.”

Photo published for FBI document dump reveals secrets of Clinton probe as new director nominee faces Senate

Some 42 pages of highly redacted documents from the FBI’s criminal investigation into Hillary Clinton's mishandling of highly classified materials paint a picture of a serious, but flawed investigation hindered by a lack of cooperation, according to a key watchdog group.

The materials, all part of the probe dubbed "Midyear Exam,” included several documents designated as “grand jury material,” indicating the potential seriousness of the investigation that would ultimately be ended by FBI director James Comey in July, then restarted for a brief period in October before being shut down for good.

Crowd chants 'Justice for Seth Rich!' outside DNC: Dems peer through windows, laugh at questions about slain staffer: 'You guys are pathetic'

Vigil attendees gather outside the DNC headquarters in Washington, D.C., to honor murdered staffer Seth Rich on the anniversary of his death (Photo: Twitter)

On the one-year anniversary of the murder of Seth Rich, dozens of concerned Americans gathered outside the Democratic National Committee headquarters in Washington, D.C., to honor the DNC staffer’s memory and demand answers from top Democrats about the mysterious slaying.

But Democrats laughed Monday as they passed the crowd of at least 30 people who held a silent vigil and later chanted, “Justice for Seth Rich!”

Ralliers held up stuffed panda bears in memory of Rich, who reportedly used the pseudonym “Panda” online. They also held signs demanding to see Rich’s death certificate and unreleased body-camera footage obtained by Metropolitan Police Department officers at the scene of the murder.

Bill allocates $1.6 billion for Trump’s border wall

Bill allocates $1.6 billion for Trump’s border wall
The House Appropriations Committee on Tuesday released a bill allocating $1.6 billion to begin construction of a physical barrier along the U.S. border with Mexico, one of President Trump’s central campaign promises.
The bill funding the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for fiscal year 2018 also negates one of Trump’s central promises, that Mexico would pay for the construction of the wall.
“Keeping Americans safe by protecting our homeland is a top priority. This funding bill provides the resources to begin building a wall along our southern border, enhance our existing border security infrastructure, hire more border patrol agents, and fund detention operations,” said House Appropriations Homeland Security Subcommittee Chairman John Carter.

Well Lookie Here=> Russian Lawyer Veselnitskaya is Pictured with Obama Ambassador to Russia – 8 Days After Trump Jr. Mtg.

Via Billy

More information leaked out today on Russian attorney Natalia Veselnitskaya.

Veselnitskaya told NBC News on Monday she was not with the Kremlin as was reported by The New York Times.
She confirmed her meeting with Donald Trump Jr. was about Russian adoptions in the US.

The law firm where Veselnitskaya is listed as managing partner, Kamerton Consulting, is based in a Moscow suburb and does not even have a website.

A staff member at Kamerton told The Associated Press Veselnitskaya was unavailable for comment on Monday.

Her office in Moscow may be a shell. There is no working phone, email or website.
Russian President Vladimir Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Monday that the Kremlin is unaware of a meeting between Trump’s senior staff and Veselnitskaya and “does not know who that is.”

Peskov said,
“No, we don’t know who that is and obviously we can’t monitor all meetings Russian lawyers hold both in Russia and abroad.”
Now this…
Natalia Veselnitskaya was sitting with Obama’s Ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul during a Foreign Affairs Committee hearing, 8 days after cold-contacting Trump Jr. in Trump Tower.

Here is another shot from the June 14, 2016 Congressional hearing on Russia and the Ukraine.

MORE— That looks like Emin Agalarov sitting next to Natalia Veselnitskaya. He was mentioned in Donald Trump Jr’s statement this morning. Emin helped set up the meeting with Veselnitskaya.
Veselnitskaya was also connected to Fusion GPS, the DNC opposition research firm that produced the fraudulent and discredited Trump Dossier.

So why was Veselnitskaya hanging out with Obama officials just days after her meeting with Donald Trump Jr.?

And why was Veselnitskaya given a privileged seat up front during the Congressional hearing?

Bust Hell Wide Open

A review of Bust Hell Wide Open: the Life of Nathan Bedford Forrest by Samuel W. Mitcham, Jr., Regnery History, 2016.

Writing a biography about Nathan Bedford Forrest – a man recognized by no less than General Robert E. Lee and General William T. Sherman as “the most remarkable man produced by the Civil War on either side” – is a daunting task. How does an author do justice to such an imposing historical figure? In Bust Hell Wide Open: The Life of Nathan Bedford Forrest (Regnery History, 2016), author Samuel W. Mitcham, Jr. proves that he is more than up to the challenge. Unlike many biographies, which can get so mired in minutiae that reading them feels like a forced march, Bust Hell Wide Open reads like a rollicking cavalry charge. Perhaps most importantly for a figure as controversial as Forrest, Mitcham massacres the untruths and misperceptions that have haunted him and unjustly darkened his legacy. Mitcham’s Bust Hell Wide Open can ride in the company of Forrest classics such as John Allan Wyeth’s That Devil Forrest, Andrew Nelson Lytle’s Bedford Forrest and his Critter Company, and Robert Selph Henry’s First With the Most.

Disturbing video prompts huge backlash after being promoted by YouTube

Via Billy

A new viral video that was allowed to enter YouTube’s ‘trending’ category shows parents ‘explaining masturbation’ to their children, some of whom appear to be as young as 8-years-old.

The clip includes one woman remarking to two young girls how “masturbation is when you touch your privates in different ways to make yourself feel good – isn’t that right?”

Another clip shows a mother simulating the masturbation action with her hand in front of her son, while another shows a mother telling her daughter how, “Your big sissy did it quite a bit when she was little.”

In another scene, a large pink dildo is slammed down by a man in front of a girl who looks to be no older than 9 or 10. Another young girl is shown picking up and playing with the dildo.

“This is to simulate an erect penis – that’s why you don’t need a boy,” one mother tells her two daughters, who appear to be adopted.

The county that gave Clinton only 5 votes

Via Billy

Hillary Clinton won just five votes from Texas’s King County in last year’s presidential election, a stunningly low total from what was once a true-blue source of votes for Democrats.

John F. Kennedy won 77 percent of the vote in King County in 1960, three years after the town of Guthrie was immortalized in “On the Road.” Author Jack Kerouac would have visited a deeply Democratic bastion when he rushed through Guthrie, but more than 50 years later the area has turned almost completely against Democrats, highlighting a dramatic change in voting patterns that both parties are struggling to manage.

Clinton’s five votes in King County represented her lowest total of any county in America. Trump received 149 votes in the county, which is an hour and a half east of Lubbock.

NC: Mark Meadows Draws Line in the Sand: Next Spending Bill Must Fund President Trump’s Border Wall

Via Billy

House Freedom Caucus chairman Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC) told Breitbart News exclusively that the next government spending bill must fund President Donald Trump’s promised border wall, or there will likely be a government shutdown.

In a phone interview on Monday morning, Meadows—the chairman of the most influential group of House conservatives in Congress, the House Freedom Caucus—said that there are enough members in Congress to hold the line against any funding bill that does not explicitly provide for the beginning of construction of President Trump’s border wall. What’s more, Meadows says, his conversations with President Trump indicate that the president is supportive of such efforts and would veto—or refuse to sign—any government funding bill that falls short of the commitments necessary to begin construction on the border wall.

Update on Russian Attorney Meeting

UPDATE: On Monday afternoon, Goldstone issued this statement: “I was asked by my client in Moscow—Emin Agalarov—to help facilitate a meeting between a Russian attorney (Natalia Veselnitzkaya) and Donald Trump Jr. The lawyer had apparently stated she had some information regarding illegal campaign contributions to the DNC which she believed Mr. Trump Jr. might find important. I reached out to Donald Trump Jr. and he agreed to squeeze us into a very tight meeting schedule. At the meeting, the Russian attorney presented a few very general remarks regarding campaign funding and then quickly turned the topic to that of the Magnitzky Act and the banned US adoption of Russian children—at which point the meeting was halted by Don Jr. and we left. Nothing came of that meeting and there was no follow up between the parties.”

Conservatives are right: Colleges are hurting more than helping

Via Billy

Trigger warning: A Pew Research Center poll released Monday found 58 percent of Republicans believe colleges are having a negative effect on the country.

This shouldn't be controversial given that many academics, including myself, agree to some extent. But it's resulted in widespread alarm and overgeneralization by the liberal media: Republicans must be anti-education!

A Wonkette piece proclaimed: "It's Official: Republicans Really, Really Hate Book-Learnin'."

Vice mocked conservatives, quipping: "In the face of everything that divides Americans today, there are still a few things that pretty much everyone can agree on. Dogs are good. Space is cool. Education is import — oh, wait, sorry."

The Twittersphere piled on with more insults.

Perhaps these smug intellectuals should go back to school and brush up on their reading comprehension.

The survey didn't ask whether higher education is important or if having a college degree is beneficial. Rather, the survey simply asked: "Are colleges and universities having a positive or negative effect on the way things are going in the country these days?"

"They wanted the original agenda. They wanted the dirt," CNN host Alisyn Camerota said of Trump Jr.'s meeting with Natalia Veselnitskaya in June 2016.

"Which is what political campaigns do," Gorka responded.
