Confederate Statues, Flags, and Heritage: ‘Audemus Jura Nostra Defendere’ (We Dare Defend Our Rights)

In the last two decades, Confederate flags, monuments, symbols, and heroes have come under increasing slander and contemptuous treatment by those who have uncritically accepted the prevailing counterfactual narrative of Civil War history. Those who have broken the chains of political correctness and unsnarled the many decades of propaganda justifying that war come to a different conclusion. The latest perversions of history are the tools of a political agenda that would displace freedom by displacing truth. Displacing truth generally requires totalitarian cultural and political cleansing. If you are familiar with the methods of Marx, Alinsky, Goebbels, Sayyid Qutb, and the Muslim Brotherhood, you know what I mean. The attack on Confederate symbols and history is only one front of a larger multi-front war: a war against both American and Western civilization and heritage, especially their Judeo-Christian foundations.

There Is No Liberty With Innocents in Prison!

Dated

We The People of The United States of America, do hereby request the immediate assistance and intervention by President Donald J Trump, the U S Congress, the U S Attorney General, media outlets, churches, civic groups, and all freedom organizations, to join together in stopping the injustices befalling numerous Americans, who are now in prison as a result of out-of-control federal regulations. These victimized Americans have not committed any crimes, have harmed no other human being, and are good honest people. It appears that their only offense has been to offend federal bureaucrats, who have in turn done all in their power to make examples of otherwise law-abiding citizens. We beg the President and all public servants to put an end to these senseless and cruel atrocities. A brief review of only a few of these injustices are as follows:

* Steve and Dwight Hammond from Burns, OR, were charged with “Domestic Terrorism” for burning debris and foliage on their family ranch. They were convicted, spent about a year in prison, paid a $400,000 fine (raised by their neighbors, fellow ranchers, and friends) and were then released. The judge said the charges against them “shocked the conscience of this court.” The federal gov't appealed their “light” sentences and the Ninth Circuit sent these good people back to prison, essentially giving Dwight Hammond, now 76 years old, a life sentence. Both men went to prison twice for the same offense.

Trump Safe? McCain Rejects Call To Impeach Trump

And just like that, Trump may have avoided near certain political doom.

As news was breaking that the DOJ had named a Special Counsel for the Russia probe, a move that will substantially ease political tensions on the Hill (and is a move which the administration would almost certainly not have allowed if it had anything material to hide), another major hurdle for Trump dissolved this afternoon, when one of the biggest "risk-factors" behind a potential Trump impeachment was removed.

Recall that in its initial analysis of the biggest risk factor facing Trump, Height Securities' Peter Cohn said to keep a close eye on just one republican: John McCain.

A Better Guide Than Reason

The world’s largest, most ancient, and most exemplary republic observed its bicentennial not long ago. One would expect such an occasion to be a time of rededication and renewal, of restoration and recovery. Instead, we had a value-free official celebration that was expensive, dull, and that touched only a small minority of citizens. At least the New Leftists of the People’s Bicentennial, unlike the middle class bureaucrats of the official observance, took the American Revolution seriously. Still, they failed to persuade most of us that the redheaded Southern planters, hardbitten New England fishermen, and cold-eyed backcountry riflemen who fought it should be understood chiefly as predecessors of Mao and Fidel.

All the wealth, talent, and global power of the American mass media did not succeed, as far as I know, in producing one memorable show that portrayed the American founding meaningfully to the American people.

The Alabama Hills were named for CSS Alabama. When news of the Confederate warship's exploits reached prospectors in California sympathetic to the American Civil War Confederates, they named many mining claims after the ship, and the name came to be applied to the entire range.[3]

Mapping Europe's Secessionist Movements

Via Frank

http://www.zerohedge.com/sites/default/files/images/user3303/imageroot/2017/05/14/20170516_secession.jpg

Despite the elites' desperate hope that recent 'losses' in Holland France 'prove' the anti-establishment movement is fading (although they all saw soaring popularity), with Europeans ready to protest, there are still numerous regions urging secession...

There have been 486 military conlicts in Europe in the last 2000 years and while the last decade or two has been 'peaceful', we suspect that will not last.
