Saigon March 13, 2017

Unfortunately she turned her head and I wasn't close enough anyway.  There is nothing prettier in the world that a Vietnamese girl in a white Ao Dai. (The Communists banned it when they took over the South, but came to their senses later.)

Daily feeding.

Loves to color.

The small fish are crunchy and excellent.

I'm suing. There were supposed to be four girls in bikini's as stewardesses', but I got three males and one female in nondescript clothing......:(

The street corner Hu Tieu couple. The best in the world for 80 cents.

So sweet and brightens my walk each day. I can never get her beautiful smile though.

Fortunately, she is ticklish. :)

He will be an excellent engineer.  Can't stand other schooling.

Pho for 80 cents. Excellent.

Half for lunch and half for supper: Total $1.20.

Terrible picture as she is extremely camera shy, but the absolute most soft spoken, gracious person I have ever met. Mind boggling.

My friend from Tasmania who departed for Phnom Penh today.

New York to scrap literacy test for teachers. Guess why.

Efforts to introduce standardized testing and the monitoring of performance metrics for teachers in New York have been opposed by the teachers unions ever since they were first introduced decades ago. It’s an ongoing battle which has been mirrored across the nation. Still, some measures have been put in place which were intended to at least ascertain basic levels of proficiency for people seeking teaching positions. One of these is known as the Academic Skills Literacy Test (ASLT). It’s basically a reading comprehension test administered to those who would eventually be giving similar tests to students.

Sounds almost like a no-brainer, doesn’t it? You might think so, but this month it looks like the Empire State will be scrapping the examination because not enough people were passing it and the failure rates were deemed to be too heavily skewed along racial lines. (Associated Press)

I've been slighted again.......I complained to the $PLC over the years and finally made the grade, so maybe..........:)

Harvard University Library published a guide to “fake news” sites.

Oddly, the left-wing news organizations and websites failed to make the list.

What a shock.

As Obama settles into his new 8 bedroom swanky mansion just 2 miles from the White House with his Iranian sidekick Valerie Jarrett, an insider reveals the clandestine operations that’s now in full swing. Rather than resorting to his favorite hobby of playing golf, Obama spends all of his waking hours literally obsessing over the man who succeeded him in office. According to a recent article by Breitbart, Obama leads daily conference calls with Democratic politicians, where they plot vile new strategies for how to completely obliterate Trump and his administration.

Reconsidering Alexander H. Stephens

 Alexander_Stephens_-1855

Limited by a popular and academic culture at the beginning of the 21st century that denigrates the past and places too much confidence in the present, the thoughtful student of Georgia politics and history should not be surprised that Alexander Stephens (February 11, 1812-March 4, 1883), Confederate Vice-President and American statesman, has often been neglected. One possible remedy to the neglect is to reconsider the statesman’s life and work.

Waiting and Prepared

 Lies of Omission

The Vault 7 release by WikiLeaks shows us that everything we knew was possible and feared was true, was true. That all of those accusations of the "extreme right-wing conspiracy theorists" were nothing but cover for the real bad actors in the government. But then, it was Obama's government for which they were covering up. Now that Trump is in office, the Marxists envision the same tools they were happy to have in the hands of one of their own, now in the hands of an enemy and the incredible power of destruction that represents.

Vault 7 reveals a nation wholly unloosed from its founding, not just on the corners, or around the edges, but its whole purpose now is to control, monitor and dominate a population. Only a strident Soviet could appreciate the system we have today. They had to do the hard work of manually tapping phones with wires and listening with headsets. The Soviets couldn't record everything said and file it away for when someone's name popped up on their radar screen, so they could go back, dig through their conversations until they came up with an actionable admission and prosecute with their previously accumulated evidence.

A Ton Of Rifle For Your Money MSRP: $399: Thompson/Center .308 Compass ''One Minute of Angle' – Full Review

Thompson Center's new Compass rifle is a bargain considering its performance.

I first fired one of the new Thompson/Center Compass rifles at a pre-release event and was immediately hooked, so I talked to the editors here at GunsAmerica about publishing a full review.

Why? It’s a very affordable rifle that shoots and handles like a very unaffordable rifle. What’s not to love about that? They agreed.

Towards the end of my 780-round shooting binge, I might have slipped off the rifle rest…

My first impression of the Compass was very favorable. It’s not like I fired a few shots and made some snap judgment. Rather, I came to that conclusion after firing over 780 rounds from the same rifle in just two days. For a bolt-action rifle, that might qualify as cruel and inhumane punishment, especially considering that the barrel got so hot, I completely melted a rifle rest. Still no word on whether the gunsmiths back at Smith & Wesson have removed all the melted goo from that barrel…

Anyway, I shot the heck out of one of these rifles, chambered in .204 Ruger, and it performed. As a result, I wanted to get my hands on a more versatile caliber model and give it a more in-depth trial.

Conservative lawmaker Steve King, R-Iowa, responded to a tweet about "the Dutch Donald Trump" by asserting that "demographics are our destiny."

"Wilders understands that culture and demographics are our destiny. We can't restore our civilization with somebody else's babies," Rep. Steve King wrote.

FLASHBACK: Sessions Was Axed By Clinton’s Attorney General

Via Billy

Attorney General Jeff Sessions ordered the resignation of 46 U.S. Attorneys appointed by President Barack Obama Friday.

The action was criticized by opponents of the administration, but Sessions was once on the other side of the chopping block when Bill Clinton became president and Sessions was a U.S. attorney in Alabama.

Ultimately, it is not unusual for a new president to dismiss the appointments of the previous administration’s U.S. attorneys. What is interesting, however, is to see where some of the players in the appointment and dismissal process have ended up between administrations.

Soft White Genocide: Mississippi Universities Refuse to Fly “Racist” State Flag

Via comment by EIEIO on Disgraceful: Likely last hurdle cleared, New Orle...

At some point in the future all universities across America will refuse to fly the American flag, the flag of a country founded by racist slave owners.

Even in conservative, traditional Mississippi, cultural Marxists have gained control of the universities.

So, if state institutions do not have to fly the flag, I suppose if I were a citizen of Mississippi that I would not have to pay state taxes.

Is that how it works or do only liberals get special privileges?
