Pier Weekly 10/24/16

Big catches everyday.
Maxing out on trout and most everything else.  Giving away bluefish

First time I've seen Game Wardens this year.
One beautiful day after another.
I like it.
Dropped 5 degrees in one day, but back up.
Must be sick.  Just stayed there.
How refreshing, natural hair, no makeup or rings. Beauty personified.
Franchesca, such a sweetie. :)
Atkinson's Old Fashioned Flat Corn Bread. Cousin John gave me a case after I marveled at the taste during the last reunion.  Good! :)

Today I received notice of another huge increase (around 38%) in our Blue Cross, Blue Shield coverage. It has been a BCBS Silver 5000 plan but the 5000 referred to individual coverage. It was $10,000.00 per family. My old payment was approximately $2,100.00 per month but it now has increased to around $2,900.00 per month with increased deductibles and increased co-pays.

I am not going to absorb the increase and will be forced to look at a high risk plan to cover us in case of an catastrophic event. Our average health care costs can't be over $35,000.00 which will now be our cost of insurance. (Three in his family)

I have been following the rate increases for "affordable" health insurance and just had a short discussion with Dr. -------- tonight about this. He feels that it was designed to collapse to implement a single payer program. I switched to Medi-share but it is only catastrophic. The new paradigm for health care is to have a catastrophic plan in place. As you have found out, no one is able to reach the deductible in most cases so we really are paying a tax for something that we cannot use.

Once people realize that they will not reach their deductible, they are negotiating cash payments with their doctors and hospitals at a greatly reduced price. We will see this issue explode after the election is over. However, I feel whoever wins, the country will not accept the new pResident.

I thought Halloween was later.......... :)

John Bentel, the man who oversaw then-Secretary Hillary Clinton’s technology at the State Department, refused to answer questions about his knowledge of her activities in a sworn deposition Monday, according to Judicial Watch.

Mr. Bentel had protected Mrs. Clinton during her time in office, assuring lower-level employees that her use of a secret email account had been approved, according to an inspector general’s audit. In fact, the FBI found that Mrs. Clinton didn’t ask permission and nobody had approved her arrangement.

Ordered by a judge to explain his conflicting testimony, Mr. Bentel instead demurred, declining to answer some 90 questions posed by lawyers from Judicial Watch, a conservative law firm that has sued to get a look at Mrs. Clinton’s secret emails.

He becomes the latest IT person to refuse to answer questions, citing his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination.

Here's a good one! :) Obama: ‘We Have Not Had a Major Scandal’ in My Administration

Via Billy

President Obama claimed there had been no “major scandal” in his administration during a Democratic fundraiser Sunday night in San Diego.

Obama made the comment while railing against Rep. Darrell Issa (R., Calif.), the former chairman of the House Oversight Committee who once called him “one of the most corrupt presidents” in modern history.

“Here’s a guy who called my administration perhaps the most corrupt in history–despite the fact that actually we have not had a major scandal in my administration–that, when Trump was suggesting that I wasn’t even born here, said, well, I don’t know, was not sure,” Obama said, according to Politico Playbook. “This guy has spent all his time simply trying to obstruct, to feed the same sentiments that resulted in Donald Trump becoming their nominee.”

A few of the “journalists” meeting offline with Hillary advisers
Thanks to Wikileaks we now know that at least 65 mainstream reporters were working closely with the Clinton campaign this election year. They were invited to top elitist dinners with Hillary Campaign Chairman John Podesta or Chief Campaign strategist Joel Benenson.

These 65 mainstream reporters CAN NEVER BE TRUSTED:

As previously reported— At least 38 top national reporters attended a different dinner at John Podesta’s house in April 2015.

The Clinton campaign sent out invites to New York reporters in April 2015 on their off-the-record meeting on how to sell Hillary Clinton to the public.

Expert: 'Child's play' to rig vote counts

Via David

America's computerized voting system isn't just as easy to hack into as Target credit systems, but is "programmed to cheat," according to an explosive report by a long-time election forensics expert.

"The grim truth that is so hard to tell and so hard to swallow is that America's electoral system has been corrupted in the most direct and fundamental of ways: the computers that now count virtually all of our votes in secret can be—and, the evidence indicates, have been—programmed to cheat," said Jonathan Simon.
