Preparing for Matthew: Saluting the Guardians of the Flags

Via Susan

We have already begun preparing and planning for the high winds and severe weather that could reach Virginia this weekend. Our flag site crews will be busy this week removing all 26 Roadside Memorial Battle Flags ahead of the approaching storm. We have asked them to lower all flags by noon Friday, and to take this opportunity inspect the flags and rope for wear.

This is no easy task, and we are thankful for the dedicated men who volunteer to help with this very important work that saves us wear and tear on expensive flags and helps lessen the chance of damage to the poles during severe weather.

The flags will be raised again once the severe weather threat has passed, and our Guardians can safely access the flag sites.

God bless the Guardians of the Flags, and all of our supporters who help make these projects possible.

Obama’s army of public relations staffers costs U.S. taxpayers $500M per year

President Obama hired hundreds of additional public relations employees to sell his administration’s policies, at a total cost to taxpayers of nearly half a billion dollars a year, the government’s chief watchdog reported Wednesday.

Mr. Obama added some 667 PR staffers between 2008, the last full year under his predecessor, and 2011, when staffing levels peaked at 5,238 — a spike of 15 percent during those years. The number has since slipped, but there were still nearly 5,100 PR staffers in the administration in 2014, according to figures from the Government Accountability Office.

That doesn’t include the more than $100 million spent each year to hire private spinmeisters to supplement the government’s PR efforts. And yet more money — nearly $800 million in 2015 — is spent each year on contracts with outside advertising firms hired to prop up the administration’s policies.

“With increasing pressures on limited federal resources, it is crucial to know how much is spent across the federal government on public relations activities and which federal agencies are spending the most,” said Sen. Mike Enzi, chairman of the Senate Budget Committee, who requested the report.

UN makes power play against Trump

Dr. Robinson (Dixie's Homeschooler) Myth Of Global Warming

International governments have made a power play against Donald Trump by ratifying an international climate deal earlier than expected, effectively preventing him from “canceling” the deal as he has promised to do.

The European Union’s Tuesday decision to join the Paris climate deal will push the deal over the threshold for ratification; it will formally take effect in 30 days.

That means Trump, should he be elected president in November, could not “cancel” or renegotiate the terms of the agreement.

President Obama committed the United States to reduce its emissions by 26 percent to 28 percent by 2025 as part of the deal. The agreement is nonbinding, so Trump would be free to ignore it if he wins the White House.

White Slaves Prior to Black

No race or ethnicity has an exclusive claim to being enslaved by others in the past or present, and the peopling of North America clearly shows white indentured servants preceding the arrival of Africans purchased from the tribes that had enslaved them.
Bernhard Thuersam,   The Great American Political Divide

White Slaves Prior to Black

“More than half of all persons who came to the colonies south of New England were [white indentured] servants. The Puritan communities, scanty in their agriculture, chary of favors, hostile to newcomers as they were, received few. Farther south, on the contrary, they were hailed with delight by planters and farmers who wanted cheap labor . . . They formed the principal labor supply of earlier settlements.

Not until the eighteenth century were they superseded in this respect by Negroes, and not until the nineteenth century did an influx on free white workers wholly remove the need for indentured labor. Seldom did the supply of good white servants equal the demand.

Labor was one of the few European importations which even the earliest colonists would sacrifice much to procure, and the system of indentured servitude was the most convenient system next to slavery by which labor became a commodity to be bought and sold.

It was profitable for English merchants trading to the colonies to load their outgoing ships with a cargo of servants, for the labor of these servants could be transferred to colonial planters at a price well above the cost of transporting them.

The English government was well content that the handling of emigration should be in the hands of private business men. It liked to see the establishment and peopling of colonies go slowly forward without requiring from the state either financial commitments or moral responsibility.

Few planters could journey to England and select their own servants. Hence they were practically always indentured to a merchant, an emigrant agent, a ship captain, or even to one of the seamen, and then exported like any other cargo of commodities. Upon arrival in the colonies they were displayed on deck, the planters came on board to inspect them, and they were “set-over” to the highest bidder.

If the servant had a document of indenture, a note of the sale and of the date of arrival was often made on [his or her] back, and the transaction was then complete. During all the seventeenth century indentured servitude was the only method by which a poor person could get to the colonies or by which white labor could be supplied to planters.”

Blameshifting: Obama tells DiCaprio climate change ‘contributed’ to the Syrian civil war

Via Billy

Discussing the threat of climate change with Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio, President Obama on October 3, said “powerful” studies suggest “the droughts that happened in Syria contributed to the unrest and the Syrian civil war.”

PRESIDENT OBAMA: “There’s already some really interesting work — not definitive but powerful — showing that the droughts that happened in Syria contributed to the unrest and the Syrian civil war. Well, if you start magnifying that across a lot of states, a lot of nation states that already contain a lot of poor people who are just right at the margins of survival, this becomes a national security issue. And, that’s why even as we have members of Congress who scoff at climate change at the same time as they are saluting and wearing flag pins and extolling their patriotism they’re not paying attention to our Joints Chief of Staff and the Pentagon who are saying this is one of the most significant national security threats that we face over the next fifty years.”

Living in the jungle with the Vietnamese Tarzan

Via Our Eternal Struggle

In 1972 a veteran of the North Vietnam army fled to the jungle with his baby when his house was bombed. During this bombing he lost his mother and two of his children.

Only three years ago the world was surprised by the news that an old man and his son had been ‘rescued’ from the Vietnam jungle, after having lived there totally and absolutely isolated from the civilian world during 41 long years. The son’s name is Ho Van Lang and he grew up oblivious to the rest of the human race, not having even the most basic data on ‘man’.

Last November, while I was in Vietnam for work reasons, I was lucky enough to spend a few days with this ‘jungle boy’ who is now living in a village, adapting to civilization.

Hillary’s Case Is REOPENED, Now FBI’s Comey Asks For Immunity – Gowdy Says ‘HELL NO’

Via David

Looks like Trey Gowdy is reopening Hillary’s email scandal case. Right up front, FBI Director James Comey asked for immunity and Gowdy told him flatly, “Hell no!”

Classic Gowdy here… he questioned FBI Director Comey during the House Judiciary hearing entitled, Oversight of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. “What concerns me Director is when you have five immunity agreements and no prosecution… when you are allowing witnesses who happen to be lawyers sit in on an interview. That is not the FBI that I used to work with,” Gowdy said to Comey on Wednesday.

The DOJ granted immunity to five people who gave nothing in return… five people they knew were exceedingly complicit and corrupt. It was all rigged, setting these people above the law. Comey should be prosecuted for what he has done.

Between Ragged Truth and Politically Correct National Destruction: Why I’m Voting for Trump

Via Mike

The American economy has not gone well for most Americans in the last 15 years. The number of people in the workforce has dropped 6.4 million or 4.1 percent, and the median household income has dropped over $4,000 per year. Much of this erosion in the quality of American life was due to excessive replacement of American workers by foreign workers both legal and illegal. Not counting at least 12 million illegal immigrants, the number of number of foreign born residents increased from 9.6 million in 1970 to 42.1 million in early 2016.

Food Stamp use has increased to nearly 40 percent in less than eight years of the Obama Administration. The National debt has risen 81 percent to over $19 Trillion during his administration. Although the average annual economic growth in American history is 4.1 percent, President Obama is the only president in history never to have any year over 3.0 percent. Wall Street and the big corporations that hire cheap legal and illegal immigrants to replace American workers might be better off, but the vast majority of Americans and their families are suffering. Ironically, by far the most suffering is found in the African-American community, where the unemployment rate of 8.1 percent is 65 percent higher than the national average. But who can trust government economic statistics anymore? President Obama is a great spin-master, if you don’t know economics or math.

President Obama has reduced our military manpower and combat ships and aircraft to the lowest level since 1941. He has devastated the morale and combat preparedness of our troops by using them as a social engineering experiment in radical liberalism. Our foreign policy and our intelligence security and capabilities appear to be written by and for the Muslim Brotherhood.

Trump is America’s Only Hope in Campaign Designed to Bore Innocent Voters to Death

America, consider yourself warned.

If you run Donald Trump off from the American political scene, you will have ruined your last, best chance to Make America Great Again and be forever condemned to torturously boring political debates the likes of which we saw here Monday night.

Who won? Mike Pence, obviously, because he seemed to understand just how annoying and tedious the whole thing was with Tim Kaine constantly butting in like a little loser twerp on the playground who has confused “having all the answers” with “being cool.”

Russia Preps To Shoot Down US Planes In Syria (Obama & Clinton , wamongers both) U.S. Army Chief Threatens War With Russia

Via Iver

Russia is deploying its most advanced missile defense system to Syria, likely to deter any U.S. plans to increase strikes on non-Islamic State targets.

“Nusra doesn’t have an air force do they?” one U.S. official sarcastically told Fox News when asked who the system was meant to deter. Nusra is a reference to al-Qaida’s Syrian affiliate, who Russia often says they target. The official’s comment implies the U.S. believes Russia’s deployment is meant to constrain U.S. options in Syria.

The U.S. Department of State cut off all bilateral relations with Russia over Syria Monday, after Russia refused to stop indiscrimately bombing the city of Aleppo on behalf of the Assad regime. U.S. defense officials confirmed Russia will be able to thwart any potential U.S. cruise missile strikes in Syria with the new system.

U.S. Army Chief Threatens War With Russia

Army Chief of Staff Gen. Mark Milley warned last night that the United States was ready to “destroy” its enemies in comments that were clearly directed at Russia.

“I want to be clear to those who wish to do us harm….the United States military – despite all of our challenges, despite our [operational] tempo, despite everything we have been doing – we will stop you and we will beat you harder than you have ever been beaten before. Make no mistake about that,” said Milley.

The General went on to warn that Russia and other countries had taken advantage of the U.S. being focused on the war on terror.

Hillary Steps Off Plane, Gets Humiliated By Her Supporters

Have Hillary Clinton’s best friends finally turned their backs on her? A now viral tweet from New York Times reporter Amy Chozick seems to indicate the winds of change are finally upon us!

We already know Hillary Clinton can’t draw a crowd of potential voters to her rallies, but the now viral tweet is the first visible proof that her old pals in the press are tiring of her too.
