He returns to his home village for the first time since he left two years before and is shocked to learn that his parents are among the thousands left dead or missing by the Allied bombing raids. Then he falls for the beautiful Elizabeth Kruse (Lilo Pulver), and the two attempt to begin a romance amidst the devastation and despair of the war.

Hillary Least Popular Dem With Blacks Since 1960

Via Billy

The former Secretary of State only has around 73% of support from blacks, which is alarming for a Democratic candidate; usually a Democrat, win or lose, captures on average 87% of African-American support during a presidential election.

Before Hillary, the lowest since 1960 was Jimmy Carter with 83% during the 1980 election, which he lost to Ronald Reagan.

“Clinton recently spoke before a Black Baptist convention and was only able to fill 20% of the seats placed in the room,” reporter citizen-journalist Kevin Collins. “…The faked polls can say what they want, but Hillary Clinton is in deep trouble with exactly the groups she will need if she expects to win in November.”

Flag Sickness Among the Politically Correct

Via Billy

 http://cdnph.upi.com/sv/b/i/UPI-8001453246087/2016/1/14532489325299/Confederate-backers-rally-at-state-capitol-to-resist-changes-to-Mississippi-flag.jpg

On September 10th there was a Confederate flag rally at the state capitol in Jackson, Mississippi to garner signatures  for Initiative 58, which is a worthwhile effort to keep Mississippi's State Flag as it is and to deny the cultural Marxists, in the future, the chance to tinker around with it until they remake it into some ghastly leftist perversion that no one could even look at before breakfast.

Interestingly enough just a few days before that, on September 8th I think, a federal judge dismissed a lawsuit that would have declared the Confederate emblem on the state flag as "an unconstitutional relic of slavery."

The suit had been filed by Grenada, Mississippi lawyer Carlos Moore who  stated that the state's flag literally made him ill. The judge, although sympathetic to Moore, was at least honest enough to dismiss his plea. The judge stated: "Moore's arguments are phrased as constitutional claims, yet his allegations of physical injuries suggest that he is making an emotional distress tort claim.  To succeed in constitutional litigation, however, Moore needs to identify that part of the Constitution which guarantees a legal right to be free from anxiety at State displays of historical racism. There is none."

Trump surges into national lead over Hillary in aftermath of Clinton's collapse

GOP nominee Donald Trump (Photo: Twitter)

Donald Trump took a three-point lead in the Los Angeles Times tracking poll of the 2016 presidential race Tuesday, topping Hillary Clinton by 45.8 percent to 42.8 percent and breaking free from a virtual tie just a day earlier.

It was a 4.4 percent spike for Trump since Sunday.

The result, however, remains in the poll’s “area of uncertainty,” which means the race is too close to call.

The USC Dornsife/Los Angeles Times Presidential Election Daybreak Poll is the first to reflect voters’ sentiments after Clinton’s near-collapse on camera in New York on Sunday. Clinton left a 9/11 memorial event early because she wasn’t feeling well, and then, while entering a limousine, took a couple of jerky steps and fell, with Secret Service preventing her from landing on the ground.

The Trump support comes amid reports that Democrats are worried that Clinton might need to be replaced.

Burns Chronicles No 27 – Public Lands – Part 1 – It’s a Matter of Jurisdiction

 http://outpost-of-freedom.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/caution-yellow-tape.jpg

Thomas Jefferson had proposed an ordinance to deal with the lands won along with independence from Britain in 1784, and not belonging to any State, any lands that might be relinquished when considered to have been granted by Royal Charter.  The Continental Congress ratified the Northwest Ordinance of 1787 on July 13, 1787.  The First Congress under the newly ratified Constitution, which met from March 4, 1789, to March 4, 1791, then reaffirmed that same ordinance.  This slightly revised version reaffirmed on July 13, 1789, and is known as the Northwest Ordinance of 1789.

The Fourth Article, unchanged in the two versions, reads, in part:

Article the Fourth.  The said territory, and the States which may be formed therein, shall forever remain a part of this Confederacy of the United States of America…  The legislatures of those districts or new States, shall never interfere with the primary disposal of the soil by the United States in Congress assembled, nor with any regulations Congress may find necessary for securing the title in such soil to the bona fide purchasers.  No tax shall be imposed on lands the property of the United States; and, in no case, shall nonresident proprietors be taxed higher than residents.

Note that “primary disposal” seems to be the objective of holding the land.  That disposal would serve two very significant purposes in the creation of a nation that would grow from those first thirteen states.  First, it would raise revenue for the payment of the debt incurred because of the War of Independence, and it continued to provide revenue for the fledgling nation.

Second, it would provide land for people to populate the barren regions, first, across the Allegheny Mountains, then on to the Mississippi River, next to the Rocky Mountains, and finally to the Pacific Ocean.

Some fish tales are hard to believe. But Tom Satre has the photos to back up the story.

Beautiful Portraits of American Indian Teen Girls From Between the 1870s and 1890s

Via Cousin Colby

The American Indians are an important part of the culture of the United States. While their people have lived on this land for thousands of years, today their numbers are dwindling. Once, the Native Americans lived on this continent with little discourse and disruption. They were well fed, content, and established. In fact, the men and women usually were placed in typical roles.

Here is a collection of beautiful and rare photos of Native American teen girls taken before 1900.

More than $9 million of Department of State money has been funneled through the Peace Corps to a nonprofit foundation started and run by Secretary of State John Kerry’s daughter, documents obtained by The Daily Caller News Foundation show.

The Department of State funded a Peace Corps program created by Dr. Vanessa Kerry and officials from both agencies, records show. The Peace Corps then awarded the money without competition to a nonprofit Kerry created for the program.

'Black Rifles Matter' sign causes controversy

A sign in Boothbay Harbor is raising some eyebrows. Seemingly a play on the Black Lives Matter slogan, it reads "Black Rifles Matter: Yes, we have 'em. No, you can't take 'em."

Some local businesses are worried the sign sends the wrong message and could make some tourists feel unwelcome.

The man behind the sign, Linc Sample, insists it has nothing to do with race and black rifles or black guns are just another word for semi-automatic weapons.

Liberal Media Pushes Conspiracy Theory That Putin and Trump Poisoned Sick Hillary

Last Chance for the ‘Deplorables’

Speaking to 1,000 of the overprivileged at an LGBT fundraiser, where the chairs ponied up $250,000 each and Barbra Streisand sang, Hillary Clinton gave New York's social liberals what they came to hear.

"You could put half of Trump's supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. Right?" smirked Clinton to cheers and laughter. "The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamophobic, you name it." They are "irredeemable," but they are "not America."

This was no verbal slip. Clinton had invited the press in to cover the LGBT gala at Cipriani Wall Street where the cheap seats went for $1,200. And she had tried out her new lines earlier on Israeli TV:

"You can take Trump supporters and put them in two baskets." First there are "the deplorables, the racists, and the haters, and the people who ... think somehow he's going to restore an America that no longer exists. So, just eliminate them from your thinking..."

And who might be in the other basket backing Donald Trump?

They are people, said Clinton, "who feel that the government has let them down, the economy has let them down, nobody cares about them. ... These are people we have to understand and empathize with."

In short, Trump's support consists of one-half xenophobes, bigots and racists, and one-half losers we should pity.

And she is running on the slogan "Stronger Together."

Weekend at Hillary’s, a Tragicomedy About Lying Enablers and a White House Campaign

 http://twt-thumbs.washtimes.com/media/image/2016/09/11/9_112016_campaign-2016-clinton8201_c0-0-3088-1799_s326x190.jpg?e9fa6fb5136bb26df702a61943250b5a88e4fefe

Sure, it looked like a scene out of Weekend at Bernie’s. At first glance, anyway.

Strange purplish sunglasses concealing dead, hooded eyes. Pantsuit as vibrant as a sack of spoiled potatoes tipped against a bollard. Helmet of hair toggling as aides hoist and jostle her feet-first — one shoe on, one shoe off into the security van with tinted windows.

The pre-Clinton era slapdash attempted-comedy is not nearly as funny as it was unforgettable for its utterly unbelievable and ridiculously goofball plot.

Basically, a couple of guys have to prop up their dead boss and make him look alive for an entire Labor Day weekend at a Hampton’s beach house. If they fail, the employees will lose their jobs and face criminal prosecution for the intricate financial swindle their boss has been playing.

Worth Reading Anyway: “Hillary Clinton has 1 Year to Live,” says Medical School Professor

Via Billy via Valerie

I am a professor at a medical school. I have taught at three institutions (currently in my third). I will not provide my exact credentials because several people who have tried to speak out against Hillary Clinton have been killed (look up “Clinton Body Count”). The Clintons have also ruined the lives of others who have spoken out, including Drew Pinsky. Drew Pinsky had his show canceled and received death threats, and Huffington Post writer David Seaman was terminated and is living in hiding for his columns about Hillary’s health. Thanks for understanding the reason why I do not disclose my exact credentials.

Hillary Clinton might actually have 1 year to live based on medical records that were leaked indicating she has a disease called Subcortical Vascular Dementia. While many videos have been made about her health, all of them have missed the severity of her illness. She could die very soon, since Vascular Dementia is progressive and has a 3-5 year life expectancy. Clinton actually has a severe form of the disease that impacts the subcortex region of the brain, which includes the brainstem. This might explain why Clinton is dry-coughing so much. The brainstem controls primitive functions of the body like breathing, heart rate, and blood pressure. When there is ischemia to this region, B/P, HR, and breathing won’t function correctly. Hillary’s cough is so noticeable because she can’t seem to get over it. Most people only need a couple of coughs and they are able to overcome what is in their throat. But not Hillary. Hillary has tried to explain that she has an “allergic cough.” This is completely false and a lie. Based on her medical records, it is related to her Vascular Dementia, which she is dying of. She could rapidly decline if circulation is weak to the brainstem. I am very concerned about Hillary, and if her VaD diagnosis is true, she would likely face increasing difficulties over the next few months.

Hillary Clinton's Health Scare: 9 Unanswered Questions

Hillary Clinton

As Hillary Clinton's health moves from the fringes to the center of the 2016 presidential campaign, there's a lot we still don't know about her scare this weekend.

Here's what we do know: Clinton was diagnosed with pneumonia on Friday. During a Sept. 11 memorial event on Sunday at Ground Zero, she was unsteady and clearly needed help getting into a van after becoming "overheated and dehydrated." And Clinton canceled a planned to trip to California for Monday while she rests at home.

Essential Reading: The Confederate Constitution of 1861

This review was first printed in Southern Partisan magazine in 1995.

Marshall DeRosa: The Confederate Constitution of 1861: An Inquiry into American Constitutionalism (University of Missouri Press, 1991).

Let there be no doubt, my friends. Marshall DeRosa addresses a serious and important issue. He claims the struggle for American independence was renewed and, in a sense, reached a peak during the Civil War. Contrary to the superficial accounts of the causes of the War Between the States, DeRosa squarely and forcefully addresses the primary cause of The Late Unpleasantness: constitutionalism.

Our political liberty and economic prosperity, unsurpassed in the history of mankind until the formation of the American regime, occurred because our forefathers were guided by theory and prudence. These twofold elements are seen clearly in the U.S. Constitution, the oldest existing “experiment” in self-government.

Our forefathers learned much from Greece, Rome, Christianity, and modern political writers. And they learned well how to apply the lessons of politics that history bequeathed them. But the American founders also understood that societies are organic— “theory” or “principles” cannot simply be impressed upon a people. Prudent statesmen understand that a new government must take into account a people’s tradition, religion, ability for self-rule, and economic habits.

Simply Wonderful: Choosing Southernness: Southern With an Italian Accent

 the fugitives

Late in August 1965, a young boy not yet eight-years-old stood with his father on the field at Gettysburg near the spot where Pickett’s men formed in the woods. The boy’s father was not a learned man and had an uncertain grasp of the events that took place on that ground more than a century before. “Which side were we on?,” the boy asked, interrupting his father’s halting explanation of Pickett’s charge. “We weren’t on either side,” his father replied, knowing that his son’s question was meant to discover what part his ancestors had played in the war. “No one from our family was here yet. Your grandfather didn’t come over from the old country until 1907. He wasn’t born until 1898.

The Civil War was over a long time by then.” Sensing the boy’s disappointment at not being able to name an ancestor who had fought on either side in the war, the father added that the war was part of history and that anybody with sense could learn history whether his ancestors had been part of it or not.

As you no doubt have guessed, I am what remains of that young boy.
