Nikki Haley: From “Lame Duck” To “Dead Duck”

 http://www.fitsnews.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/haley-vetoes.jpg

GOVERNOR’S WANING INFLUENCE FURTHER WEAKENED BY PRIMARY RESULTS

S.C. governor Nikki Haley bet big on establishment “Republican” Marco Rubio during the 2016 “First in the South” presidential primary – and lost big.  Now she’s experiencing a similar sinking feeling as it relates to state-level politics …

Haley-backed candidates lost big in a pair of high-profile State Senate races on Tuesday – although the governor did contribute to the defeat of one incumbent State Senator, liberal Wes Hayes of York county, S.C.

Hayes was beaten by former GOP official Wes Climer – knocking him out of the seat he’s held since 1991.

Haley’s top two targets – liberal Senate president Hugh Leatherman and tax-hiking coastal Senator Luke Rankin – easily beat back their Haley-backed primary challengers, though.  Leatherman beat former GOP official Richard Skipper by a 54-40 percent margin, while Rankin pummeled his challenger – financial planner Scott Pyle – by a 56-44 percent spread.

CIA Director: Islamic State Attempting to Infiltrate the West Through Refugee Flows

Gee, we would never have thought...............

Thursday at a hearing on CIA intelligence activities, CIA Director John Brennan said ISIS is attempting infiltrate operatives into the West through “refugee flows, smuggling routes and legitimate methods of travel.”

Brennan said, “Unfortunately, despite all of our progress against ISIL on the battlefield and in the financial realm, our efforts have not reduced the groups terrorism capability and global reach. The resources needed for terrorism are modest. The group would have to suffer even heaver loses on territory, manpower and money for the terrorist capacity to decline significantly. Moreover the groups foreign branches and global networks can help preserve the capacity for terrorism regardless of events in Iraq and Syria. In fact, as the pressure mounts on ISIL we judge it will intensify it’s global terror campaign to maintain its dominance of the global terrorism agenda.”

Lincoln appointed no men to his cabinet who were familiar with Southern sentiment or sensitivities – an act which might have avoided a collision and perhaps have truly “saved the Union.” The Republican Party won the contest and would not be denied the fruits of victory no matter the cost. Charles Francis Adams was appointed minister at London by Lincoln, somewhat appropriate as Adam’s grandfather himself viewed the presidency as monarchical. More important, Adams was a Republican politician with little regard for the American South and put party above the welfare of the country.
Bernhard Thuersam, www.Circa1865.com   The Great American Political Divide

“They Have Made a Nation”

“For the post at London Lincoln had made one of his best appointments. As a boy [Charles Francis Adams] had witnessed stirring events in Europe; in the company of his mother he had taken the long and arduous winter journey by carriage from St. Petersburg to Paris to join his father John Quincy Adams. Passing through the Allied lines, he reached Paris after Napoleon’s return from Elba.

By 1861 he had served as legislator in Massachusetts, had become prominent as a leader of the “conscience” Whigs and the Free-Soilers, and had achieved the position of an influential leader of the national House of Representatives where his main contribution was as a moderate Republican earnestly engaged in the work of avoiding war.

Though depressed at the nomination of Lincoln, whom he never fully admired, he accepted appointment as minister to England and gave of his best as a loyal servant of the Lincoln administration.

Through all the diplomatic maneuvers there ran the central question of recognition of the Confederacy and the related questions of mediation, intervention and the demand for an armistice. Had the South won on any of these points, victory would have been well-nigh assured. By September of 1862 [Lord] Palmerston and Russell’s deliberations had reached the point where, in view of the failures of McClellan and Pope and the prospects of Lee’s offensive, Palmerston suggested “an arrangement upon the basis of separation” (i.e., Southern victory); while Russell, the foreign minister, wrote in answer that his opinion the time had come “for offering mediation . . . with a view to the recognition of the independence of the Confederates.”

[Just] at this juncture there came a bombshell in the speech of the chancellor of the exchequer, W.E. Gladstone, at Newcastle (October 7) in which he said:

“Jefferson Davis and other leaders of the South have made an army; they are making, it appears, a navy; and they have made what is more important than either, — they have made a nation . . . We may anticipate with certainty the success of the Southern States so far as regards their separation from the North.”

A former Guantanamo Bay prison living in Uruguay has vanished under mysterious circumstances, The Washington Post reports.

Law enforcement is now searching for the former detainee, Jihad Ahmed Mustafa Dhiab, a Syrian national, the paper reported Friday, citing a U.S. official.

“We are coordinating with officials in Brazil and Uruguay to determine his whereabouts,” the official told the paper on background to discuss a sensitive incident.

SBC: For Islamist Immigration/Against Confederate Flag. Loses A Million Members

Folks, with the recent decrees from the Southern Baptist Convention to YOUR local church a million things are running through my mind about it. The Confederate Flag which represents the defense of home & family to most Southerners is unacceptable to Russell Moore.

However, Radical Islamist Terrorist who threaten our homes & families IS acceptable to Russell Moore? Which, leaves me to wonder, either Russell Moore is misguided in his beliefs like the church at Corinth or he is an agent of Satan or a student of Karl Marx sitting in our midst. Either way SBC needs to cast him out before he destroys their organization.

SBC is NOT a church, its suppose to be a parent organization which represents & reflects the concerns of the churches. In short, churches DO NOT need the SBC to exists as Baptist Churches. The SBC is one who needs those churches to exist.

After decades of sweating & wringing my hands over LIBERAL non-bible based decisions & decrees aimed at local churches I finally had, had a belly full of them & their dictatorial policies. I found myself an Independent Baptist Church where I could worship Jesus in peace & what the local people think the Bible says is the standard NOT, what some politician in SBC thought I should think.

I feel sorry for the average Christian whose church is a member of SBC because of people like Russell Moore. People like him who think SBC should fund Mosques & the worship of their moon god will ultimately lead the flock right through the gates of hell.

From my view on Christs teachings in the Bible SBC has two choices, they can cast out this agent of Satan or they can let them eventually destroy SBC. However, the average member does have a choice if this man is not corralled & reined in, let your feet do your talking & take your tithes with you. Loss of membership & funds will make them rethink their positions in a hurry!

Epic Report: SBC Loses Nearly A Million Members

The Baptist Press just released the Annual Church Profile report for 2015. The article opens with the decidedly Scripture-oblivious words, “Southern Baptists may find cause for hope in the latest Annual Profile Report.   The Southern Baptist Convention added more churches in 2015, due mostly to church planting efforts.”

Really?

The policy of the Europeans of flooding the continent with Third World welfare parasites, primarily young men, is obviously designed to destroy the distinct cultures of the German people, the English people, the Swedes, the French, etc., through forced and government-subsidized and controlled integration.  Giant new government bureaucracies have been created to centrally plan this endeavor.

Merkel is a self-hating German “former” communist; the British Labourites are self-hating Brits; etc. etc. Their ideological rallying cry has for decades been that “western culture” is the bane of civilization, and therefore must go.  “Hey, Ho, Western Culture’s Got to Go” was the chant of a mob of Stanford University students some twenty years ago led by the ever-camera-ready Jesse Jackson.  It was one of the opening salvos in the PC-ization of higher education in America.

We are being subverted by counterfactual propaganda on the nature of Islam and massive MB funds and influence.

To my bitter disappointment, too many prominent establishment Republicans have become naive cheerleaders and enablers for

“If The Price is $85 Per Trick, How Many Tricks Per Day Must Each ho Turn…” And 9 Other Reasons to Homeschool

Sometimes I read stuff and think, this has to be satire. Over the past few years, I can’t believe how many articles I’ve prefaced with, “I know it seems like satire, but it’s not.”

Today is no different. If you need more reasons to homeschool your kids (and you’re not doing so already) then read on.

We all know that the education system has been on the decline for years. Folks aren’t as worried about academic achievements as they are the feelings of the children, creating a crybaby culture that gives everyone a trophy just for showing up. Schools are indoctrination centers, churning out new batches of socially correct, debt-dependent slaves who have 13 years of
brainwashing umm…
training  errr… “education” behind them.

But now, we may have just hit rock bottom.

A teacher in Alabama is on administrative leave after he or she (the identity of the teacher has not been released) decided to make a math lesson more relevant for an 8th-grade class. An outraged parent “raised concerns” about the lesson that contained  the following questions, as per The Washington Post.

Switzerland Withdraws Application To Join EU: Only "Lunatics May Want To Join Now"

Resentment toward the EU hit a new high yesterday when the upper house of the Swiss parliament on Wednesday followed in the footsteps of Iceland, and voted to invalidate its 1992 application to join the European Union, backing an earlier decision by the lower house. The vote comes just a week before Britain decides whether to leave the EU in a referendum. Twenty-seven members of the upper house, the Council of States, voted to cancel Switzerland’s longstanding EU application, versus just 13 senators against. Two abstained the Neue Zürcher Zeitung reported.

Thomas Minder, counsellor for the state of Schaffhausen and an active promoter of the concept of “Swissness,” said he was eager to “close the topic fast and painlessly” as only “a few lunatics” may want to join the EU now, he told the newspaper.

Trump is right about Orlando – but not in the way you think: "Something is Going On" – And It's Worse Than You Thought

I used to wonder why in the heck right-wing commentators on Fox News kept repeating the same mantra over and over again: sitting through the Republican debates, my eyes glazed over when I heard each and every candidate denounce the Obama administration for refusing to say the Sacred Words: “radical Islamic terrorism.” What are these people talking about, I thought to myself: they’re obsessed!

In short, I wrote it off as Fox News boilerplate, until the other day when, in the wake of the Orlando massacre, Donald Trump said the following on Fox: “Something is going on. He doesn’t get it, or he gets it better than anybody understands. It’s one or the other.” Reiterating this trope later on in the same show, he averred that the President “is not tough, not smart – or he’s got something else in mind.”

The Beltway crowd went ballistic. Lindsey Graham had a hissy fit, and other Republican lawmakers started edging away from the presumptive GOP nominee. The Washington Post ran a story with the headline: “Donald Trump Suggests President Obama Was Involved With Orlando Shooting.” Realizing that this level of bias was a bit too brazen, the editors changed it an hour or so later to: “Donald Trump Seems to Connect President Obama to Orlando Shooting.” Not much better, but then again we’re talking about a newspaper that has a team of thirty or so reporters bent on digging up dirt on Trump.

In any case, Trump responded as he usually does: by doubling down. And he did it, as he usually does, on Twitter, tweeting the following:

My Most Memorable Flag Purchase

When I recently drove to North Carolina I knew it would be a unique and memorable experience. I was unprepared for the genuine acts of kindness, the high level of character, and the southern pride I had the pleasure to be around. I found the simplest of purchases and attendance to events to be very rewarding and great examples of class regarding southerners.

I decided to attend the 2016 Coca Cola 600, one of NASCAR's biggest races on one of the United States most sacred holiday weekends. I had already spent three hours meeting absolutely terrific people, and that was just parking my car! The following took place as I waited to cross the street in Concorde North Carolina, in front of the Charlotte Motor Speedway:

I noticed an elderly gentleman had set up a booth selling flags, and was selling all types of flags to honor Veterans for Memorial Day.

John Wayne on Liberals

"Hell yes, I'm a liberal. I listen to both sides before I make up my mind. Doesn't that make you a liberal? Not in today's terms, it doesn't. These days, you have to be a fucking left-wing radical to be a liberal. Politically, though ... I've mellowed."

Liberty or Laws? – The First Line of Defense

 https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/55/85/20/55852045b88193581107d358836d4b07.jpg

As much as many disagree with the Founder’s intent of the Second Amendment, there is little doubt that there were two primary purposes.  The first, of course, was be able to respond if, should the need arise, as had then recently occurred, the government had begun taking their rights.  It was to assure that the People would have an adequate means of defending against those encroachments and complying with the duty set out in the Declaration of Independence:

“But when long trains of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government, and to provide for new guards for their future security.”

There was a second intent that is, in this day, perhaps a bit more obscure.  However, there was a constant threat, especially in the fringes of the American civilization, of attack by Indians, and on occasion, by foreigners such as the French.  Though most often, fighting such battles was conducted by militia units, armed and equipped by the local government, those who of necessity, to protect life and property, were operating within the capacity of the intent when they acted, as individuals or small groups without the organized structure, were no less militia than the units, or even the standing military force.  There was never a consideration that individuals must rely on the government to afford them and their property protection.

Even during the expansion of the country, especially after the Civil War, military forts were few and far between.  The first line of defense had to be the armed citizenry.  It could be days, weeks, or there might never be a response by the military when there were attacks made on the People.

As the West was settled, the need for the militia and the armed citizenry was diminished.  Since that time, that historical necessity had all but gone away.  By 1903, with the passage of an Act “To promote the efficiency of the militia“, also known as the “Dick Act”, the militias was redefined as the National Guard and the Reserve Militia.  Within that Act, only the National Guard could be called to national service.

That Act did not deny the existence of any right secured by the Second Amendment.  However, it did mandate (shall) that:
