A new restaurant in Northeast Portland opened up last week, and is already being marched on and protested by the professional protesters. Saffron Colonial specializes in British cuisine, touting their “globally inspired dishes from the height of the British Empire”, “English & colonial breakfasts”, and “English tea-time treats”.
Leave it to the wackjob Portlanders to protest this new establishment, saying it promotes racism, slavery, and gentrification.

Hey!!! Not all of us left of the Rockies are wackos. Eastern Oregon and Washington and Idaho are part of the redoubt. I would say that everything west (that's left to you)of the Cascades should fall into the pacific. Including California.
ReplyDeleteThe Birmingham, Alabama, area is becoming known for it's fine dining. The "Saffron Colonial" would likely find a welcome niche there, and without all the PC idiots. It's amazing just how far people here will drive for really good food.
