Anti-Trump Groups Threaten ‘Largest Civil Disobedience Action of the Century’

With little fanfare and almost no news media attention, some of the same radical groups involved in shutting down Donald Trump’s Chicago rally last week are plotting a mass civil disobedience movement to begin next month.

They intend to march across the East Coast in order to spark a “fire that transforms the political climate in America.”

The operation, calling itself Democracy Spring, is threatening “drama in Washington” with the “largest civil disobedience action of the century.” The radicals believe this will result in the arrest of thousands of their own activists.

“We will demand that Congress listen to the People and take immediate action to save our democracy. And we won’t leave until they do — or until they send thousands of us to jail,” the website for Democracy Spring declares, channeling rhetoric from the Occupy movement.

The group is backed by numerous organizations, including the George Soros-funded groups MoveOn.org, the Institute for Policy Studies, and Demos.

First off, we were created as a Limited Republic, not a Democracy, and Second off, there is no such thing as a "savable" democracy. Democracies are designed to fail, it's just a matter of when, not if. Just like a snake swallowing it's tail, sooner or later it comes to an abrupt halt.

"We will carry no weapons or any means of physical defense, including shields."

Heh! They has better read the crime statistics for DC. They're completely insane if they go wandering through DC without packing something. The thugs in Government aren't the only thugs in town. :)

  2. March across America?
Like on their own 2 feet and stuff?

In order to petition for more intrusive, bigger gvt.

Or to interfere and attack people trying to get to work more likely.

  3. Someone should refer them to recent events such as ferguson, bundy ranch, sugar pine ranch and the oregon park so see how the constitutional right peacefully respond when we've had enough.
People don't show up with dreads, droopy pants and hoodies.
They show up with body armor and other protective items.

  5. Some bodies are very worried about Trump getting elected and them losing large amounts of money to the rent-a-mob crowd out in full force.

  7. Occupy Wall St. Volumetwo.
That quickly degenerated into crime, drug and diseased cellpools. The only way this will be any different will be the added element of irrational violence. Just as Soros and company want.

  8. Not surprising. Typical behavior for people who have nothing to crow about their canidate, so they try and tear down the opposing side. Not working though - its just gaining Trump more attention, like he already doesn't have it already.

I have to hand it to Trump - he's beating the media at their own game. The media is upset that their opinions aren't being swallowed by the public. They have tried different tactics, comments and accusations and it works on the opposition who aren't going to vote Trump anyway.

  10. There are two weak links. The first is these are likely college students and just shut the campuses down, especially the student food service. Second, they will be bused around, they aren't ambitious enough to walk...buses are like APC's and how does one deal with the enemies free transportation.
