"Mark McConnell (if that is even his real name), had previously issued a statement that LaVoy had supposedly “charged” toward the officers. According to Shawna Cox, however, McConnell was not even present and had no personal knowledge whatsoever of what happened at the roadblock where LaVoy was killed.
By way of background, McConnell had shown up at the refuge just two days earlier and ingratiated
himself into their circle. He insisted on driving Ammon Bundy to the meeting. His vehicle was stopped at the outset, immediately surrounded by other vehiclesnand officers, and Ammon was arrested at that point, without incident.
According to Shawna Cox, McConnell was never arrested ? and hasn’t been charged.
Consequently, at this point it seems fairly obvious that McConnell was either an undercover agent who was helping to orchestrate the whole thing, or he was bribed somehow. But he never even saw
what happened with LaVoy."

I was loosely involved with militia-type folks in the '90's, keeping primarily to myself and my family. The groups that did invite me to join always turned out to be primarily a combination of feds and criminal informants. You could almost always tell who they were because they were the ones wanting to "do something!" which was usually something illegal. The ones who weren't fed assets proved themselves to be hotheaded idiots and got themselves caged. I am very thankful I was not taken in by any of them.

ReplyDeleteMy first clue was him stating that running away from a roadblock wasn't a smart thing to do. Yeah, just what a person would say after a "friend" had been killed.
DeleteI pegged as a cop in the first 40 saconds. Didn't need to watch more.veverything he says is in cop speak. Who do you know that starts a sentence "myself and" and constantly says pursued or in pursuit?

the real giveaway is the "myself and". Cops are trained not to use the personal pronoun I as it sounds like they are bragging. When they testify they also have the need to mention themselves first because they are the primary officer in the arrest and the other(s) are assisting. So they say "myself and officer Smith" instead of the grammatically correct "officer Smith and I". It's a dead giveaway that you are talking to a cop when you hear that sentence structure. CH
