Muslim who drove car at French troops while screaming “Allahu akbar” had jihad propaganda on computer, prosecutor says no proof of terror links

“These are downloadable images that are a few weeks old. Not the worst type of images, but rather bellicose slogans,” said prosecutor Alex Perrin. “It shows he had an appreciation of that but it does not prove he had links with terrorist organizations.”

This is a distinction without a difference. He had jihad propaganda but they didn’t find his ISIS membership card — so what? He was motivated by the ideology that Western authorities are in denial about, and hopelessly clueless as to its contents. “He reportedly shouted ‘Allah is great’, which suggests some sort of religious element.” No kidding! What kind of “religious element,” and what is its signifiance? Perrin doesn’t know, and doesn’t want to know: he epitomizes the willful ignorance of our leaders regarding the nature and magnitude of the threat we face.
