 Good riddance to bad rubbish.

A company hired to help New Orleans take down four Confederate monuments has walked away from the job after its employees received death threats and other businesses threatened to cancel their contracts, a city attorney said in court Thursday (Jan. 14).

  2. Good. The monuments belong to all the southern people. A curse on those who remove them is absolutely in order my Louisiana brothers and sisters.

  3. Like I said back a few weeks ago, it wasn't the dead Confederates they need to be concerned about, but the ones that are still living. Classic example of stupid; just won't listen, and got to do it or die. Evidently somebody felt like offering them some help with the dying part. :)

  5. Hi Brock!!
'Beat me to the punch!!!! Saw the Friday 15 JAN 2016 issue of the "Times-Picayune" on the rack at work and on the left side just below the header was,"Confederate monument contractor gets threats." 'Plunked down my buck and bought a copy!! It just like you published!! Really cool, threats and all!! Although nobody has been shot at or killed...yet... over this....'seems like we have a little "4-G warfare" here!!

Got to thinkin', "Mardi Gras" is just around the corner this year!!!! Tuesday 09 Feb. just a few "daze" over 3 weeks from right now!! Got out my."Arthur Hardy's Mardi Gras Guide" 40th anniv. issue and started checking out the parades and their "Routes!!!!!!" From right now in just less than 2 weeks the first Parade that will parade by Lee Circle is "Oshun" followed by"Cleopatra." On Sat the 30th there's 5 Krewes that parade by Lee Circle!! Sunday there's 4 more.....Do the Math!! Wednesday 2 then Thursday 3!! ...."And it all ends up on Tuesday "Mardi Gras" with Zulu and "REX!!!!!!" Check out your guide at www.mardigrasguide.com for more "Details!!"

All these Parades go by "Lee Circle!!" As for the Gen. Lee Statue at Lee Circle..one of the monuments.."A majority of the City Council, at the request of Mayor Mitch Landrieu, in December declared those monuments to be public nuisances, fit for removal from the city's public spaces."

Well, think about it?? In the up coming couple of weeks we could have the demolition of some historic icons...and literally "Thousands of People" on these Parade Routes Reveling up a storm!! The City Council only has a few days literally to do the "Job' as I don't think it would be a good idea to try it in the middle of a bunch of Parades!! But then again, with Mitch and his "Council" anything is possible, .....the consequences of will be interesting.

Hopefully, cooler heads will prevail and the chant of "Laissez les bon temps rouler!!!" (let the Good Times Roll) will be the heard. God Help us if Mitch has his way and in the middle of all this Revelery something turns nasty and the "Good Times" Go to Hell in a Flat Hat!! Good Luck Mitch.

    Laissez Les Bon Temps Rouler!!!,
