A Tale of Two Dead White Males: Ivy League academics make excuses for the racism of a progressive hero.

President Woodrow Wilson and Vice President John C. Calhoun

Well put, but logic will get you nowhere with liberals.

The 2015 academic year opened with protests against two Ivy League universities with campuses featuring buildings named for long-dead, white, southern, and racist politicians—but only one of the protests is getting any attention so far.

At Yale, the school year began with a demand from students and some alumni that the university change the name of Calhoun College, a residential college named for John C. Calhoun, an antebellum slaveholder, ardent proponent of slavery, and longtime federal officeholder. According to an online petition that circulated over the summer, the murders of nine black churchgoers in Charleston, South Carolina required the removal of “symbols of white supremacy” from all institutions. The petition garnered coverage from the Washington Post, National Public Radio, and USA Today, among others. On September 11, the New York Times reported on a “growing chorus of students, alumni and faculty” demanding a name change.

"Field of Lost Shoes". Things could be worse

 Translated from Greek

It is known that Hollywood likes to present the South with negative colors. A new film in this area is the recent "Field   of   Lost   Shoes "(2014).

The film aims to tell the story of cadets at the famous Military School of Virginia (Virginia   Military   Institute or VMI) who with great sacrifice involved in business to repulse the arsonists and vandals Yankee invaders at the Battle of New   Market   1864 (which succeeded despite some strength to force the army of Stis Union General Franz Sigel to leave the valley Shenandoah). The relationship of the film with the actual story is minimal. So:

Why the Roseburg Rally is Necessary

 https://westernrifleshooters.files.wordpress.com/2015/10/12143200_10207504054937405_3409301977862960335_n.jpg

In the last two days, there has been support from literally all over the world for the rally in Roseburg, OR tomorrow, where patriots will tell President Obama that his presence and his anti-liberty gun-grabbing agenda is not welcome there. People have posted support from Great Britain, Australia, New Zealand, and even Germany, where one commenter said “It happened here…it can never happen again.”

With any action, however, there are those who disagree, some vehemently. Even a few residents of Roseburg itself have voiced opinions that a rally is not wanted, saying they should be left alone to grieve in peace. If Obama wants to visit, they say, so what?

Here’s some truth that might sound cold and unfeeling, even though it’s not. I personally grieve for the families of Roseburg. I have lost loved ones. I know what that loss feels like, and it never goes away. My heart and my prayers go out to them. But the truth is, it’s about far, far more than the families of Roseburg.

It’s about an agenda that seeks the disarmament of its citizens so that it may have complete power and control. It’s about a government that will use any tragedy, any cowardly act, any ruse possible, to con the American people into giving up the last possible defense they have against slavery. It’s about a President who is literally using the people affected by this tragedy to bolster his push to disarm them. The tragedy of the shooting, and the deaths of those innocent souls, affect the people of Roseburg in ways we cannot fathom and do not dare to speak to. But the ripple effect of Obama’s visit, and the use of those innocents as currency, affects every single American. In fact, it will affect every single American who ever comes after us.

Putin's boost in battle against ISIS: China preparing to 'team up with Russia in Syria'

Via III Percent Patriots

 Chinese army

Russia has carried out a series of deadly airstrikes against the terrorist group over the last few days and Vladimir Putin has now sent the country's most elite special forces team into the war zone.

And speculation is heightening that offensive will be bolstered by the China's People's Liberation Army, following a number of reports of military movements in the region backed up by strong words from a senior government member at a United Nations meeting.

Reports emanating from the Middle East last week said China was planning on joining the fight against ISIS "in the coming weeks", according to a Syrian army official.

While Beijing insists it will abide by the United Nations (UN) in the region, hints of an action were backed up when it spoke strongly about a coordinated response to the rising terrorist threat.

How Republicans Should Handle Donald Trump

Enjoy Him

I have a confession to make: I've always liked Donald Trump.  It's one of those "guilty pleasures" I've been loath to admit for over 25 years.

I was introduced to the Donald back in the day when he was promoting his first, book and I thought his first name was really "Art," as in Art-of-the-Deal Donald Trump.  He was brash, bombastic, and charismatic.  He was a teetotaler – at least at dinner parties – not because alcohol is bad for you, but because alcohol is bad for deal-making.  I was impressed with him but was unwilling admit it to any of my friends – friends who insisted on calling Trump a narcissist and an opportunist (which he was – and is).

I liked Donald Trump when he and his wife Ivana (a tall version of Zsa Zsa Gabor) were on all the covers of tabloids, newspapers, and magazines.

Colombian woman very excited to meet Trump :)

Is Britain a Violent Feminist Police State?

At the World Conference of Science Journalists in South Korea, Tim Hunt, a British Nobel laureate biochemist said: “Let me tell you about my trouble with girls … three things happen when they are in the lab … You fall in love with them, they fall in love with you and when you criticize them, they cry.” He also stated "I'm in favor of single sex labs" and he "doesn’t want to stand in the way of women".

As a result of these allegedly "brutal" and "appalling" comments about women, feminists forced him to resign from his faculty position at the University College, London. They have also forced his resignation from the Royal Society, where he had been a fellow.

Lastly, they forced his resignation from the European Research Council where he served on the science committee. Britain’s  academia and media were outraged over these allegedly 'oppressive' comments directed toward women.

Contrast this reaction with the reaction to comments made by a feminist diversity officer at Goldsmiths University of London.

ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS DON'T NEED TO VOTE TO HELP DEMOCRATS WIN

Could illegal immigrants and refugees help put Hillary Clinton in the White House next year?

Yes, because the nation’s Electoral College system is tailor-made for Democrats when combined with the mass immigration policies of the last 45 years.

Unprecedented numbers of immigrants – both legal and illegal – have been pouring into the United States since the former Sen. Teddy Kennedy rewrote the nation’s immigration laws with the landmark Immigration Act of 1965. The nation’s immigrant population – legal and illegal – swelled to a record 42.4 million in July of 2013, an increase of 2.4 million since July of 2010. The 42.4 million is double the number in 1990, triple the number in 1980 and quadruple the number in 1970, according to Census data.

Why Serena Shim was killed: White House ignores murder

Via sauced07

serenashim2

Before her death, Serena Shim had been reporting on the siege in Kobani where the Syrian military was fighting Islamic State factions with the autonomous Kurds, Turkey’s historic enemy, in the middle fighting for their own survival. She was also investigating the thousands of foreign fighters that have crossed the Turkish border into Syria and in the process uncovered possible evidence of secret western assistance to Takfiri “rebels” linked to the Islamic State. They are with the same Takfiris who kidnapped up to 150 Christians (Reuters) in northeast Syria and strangled a girl in public last week.

Alleged intent of gun control vs. actual observable goals

 dreyse32_4855_FotoSketcher

Pushers of gun control state the disarming the population is necessary for the safety of that same population. The punitive measures they are willing to employ to make that hypothetical safety happen look a lot like “he beats her because he loves her”. Or, as the old Soviet joke went: “We will fight for peace so vigorously that there’s won’t be anything left standing.” Gun control can only be enforced with other guns, so it’s all about concentrating military power in the hands of a small group that would keep others down forever. While some gun control supporters may be honestly deluded, many are lying from start to finish. I will address the lies one by one for the benefit of the bystanders wondering what this whole mess is about.

 Asteroid 86666 Nasa animated gif

It should fly safely past earth on Saturday, but astronomers are keeping a close eye on 86666 (2000 FL10) which, according to NASA, will be one of the biggest to pass close to our planet in recent times.

The giant lump of rock is currently hurtling through space at 40,000 miles an hour. The asteroid’s exact size is still unclear though it is estimated to be between 0.7miles metres and 1.6 miles wide - more than 15 times bigger than other asteroids currently on Nasa’s radar.

A collision would be nothing short of catastrophic with the rock fragment thought to be around a quarter of the size of Mount Everest.

MOLON LABE, Mr. Obama

Via Iver

https://gregfallisdotcom.files.wordpress.com/2013/11/molon-labe-spartans.jpg?w=584

In his speech following the recent Oregon shootings, Barack Obama hinted that he favors gun confiscation in the United States and that he would like to see America follow the examples of Australia and Great Britain.

Breitbart.com reports, “When President Obama spoke in reaction to the heinous October 1 attack on Umpqua Community College, he went beyond his usual calls for more gun control and suggested instead that America consider following the path blazed by Australia and Great Britain.

“In the mid-1990s Australia and Great Britain both instituted what were virtually complete bans on firearm possession.

“Obama referenced the bans thus:

“‘We know that other countries, in response to one mass shooting, have been able to craft laws that almost eliminate mass shootings. Friends of ours, allies of ours--Great Britain, Australia, countries like ours. So we know there are ways to prevent it.’”

See the report here:

And just a few days ago, Breitbart also reported, “The White House confirmed that President Obama was preparing a series of executive actions on gun control.”

So, will this “Gun-Grabber-In-Chief” attempt to confiscate the arms of the American people via Executive Order? If he did, I doubt that the American people would get much assistance from the pantywaist Republican Congress. But I know I am speaking for tens of millions of us when I say that we red-blooded Americans will NEVER surrender our arms. NEVER! This is NOT Australia or Great Britain.

Robert Hayne of South Carolina followed Jefferson's admonition that the national debt was not something to be passed on to future generations; it was considered immoral for a president not to pay the debts incurred under their administrations before leaving office. In encouraging an unending public debt, Daniel Webster, on the other hand, Webster was promoting the American System of Whig politician Henry Clay which would give the government an endless supply of money with which to buy influence and power.
Bernhard Thuersam, www.Circa1865.com    The Great American Political Divide

Spending the Money of Future Generations

"The gentleman from Massachusetts (Webster), in alluding to a remark of mine that before any disposition could be made of the public lands, the national debt (for which they stand pledged) must be first paid, took occasion to intimate (that Southerners desire to pay the national debt) "arises from a disposition to weaken the ties which bind the people to the Union."

But, adds he gentleman, "so far as the debt may have an effect in binding the debtors to the country, and thereby serving as a link to hold the States together, he would be glad that it should exist forever." Surely then, sir, on the gentleman's own principles, he must be opposed to the payment of the debt.

Sir, let me tell that gentleman that the South repudiates the idea that a pecuniary dependence on the Federal Government is one of the legitimate means of holding the States together. A monied interest in the Government is essentially a base interest . . . it is opposed to all the principles of free government and at war with virtue and patriotism. In a free government, this principle of abject dependence if extended through all the ramifications of society must be fatal to liberty. Already we have made alarming strides in that direction.

The entire class of manufacturers, the holders of stocks with their hundreds of millions in capital, are held to the Government by the strong link of pecuniary interests; millions of people, entire sections of the country, interested, or believing themselves to be so, in the public lands and the public treasure, are bound to the Government by the expectation of pecuniary favors.

If this system is carried on much further, no man can fail to see that every generous motive of attachment to the country will be destroyed, and in its place will spring up those low, groveling, base and selfish feelings which bind men to the footstool of despots by bonds as strong and as enduring as those which attach them to free institutions."

Honor Killing: Syrian Gang Rape Survivor Murdered in Germany

Via sauced 07

Rokstan

The horrifying story of an “honor killing” in Germany spotlights the sheer madness of importing millions of unvetted, unassimilated migrants.

The victim, a 20-year-old woman known as “Rokstan M,” is one refugee who had a strong case for asylum. She was gang-raped in Syria, emigrated to Germany two years ago, and found employment with the German government as a translator.

However, she strongly suspected her family wanted her dead for being “unclean,” and her suspicions appear to have been confirmed, as the German police believe her father and brothers slaughtered her with knives and buried her body in a garden, allegedly at the instruction of her mother.

Addendum to NC PATCON 8 AAR

South Vietnamese Air Force A-37B of the VNAF 548th Fighter Squadron

I thought it would be helpful to provide a real-world addendum as background for the 8th NC PATCON AAR, and to illustrate a situation similar to that pointed out by Bill Buppert in a recent article. In this article, he mentions the way one German general on the Eastern front would arrange air support. This general knew the general in charge of air, and would just call the air commander on the telephone and say they were attacking village A at 10 in the morning, and would he like to help.

The air commander would say "of course" and that was it. Very little formal process at that level. Bombs would fall until 10AM while the armored column approached, and then precisely at that time the bombs would stop and the armored column would enter the village. Underneath that simple conversation is an enormous amount of delegation and process.

Similarly, here is a sample of what high-level encrypted USMC command and control nets sound like, or at least did in Desert Storm circa 1991:
