Selective Reporting

Via LH

ScreenHunter_4041 Apr. 29 07.30

Last weekend provided us with yet another example of selective reporting from the media and police. After a birthday party at the YWCA ended Saturday night a group of about sixty black “youth” decided to rampage through downtown Charleston damaging cars, assaulting and robbing people. When the story initially broke the local news was reporting that police had told them there were no assaults.

The arrest of 17 year old Jordan Hall on two counts of 2nd Degree Assault & Battery by Mob belies that claim. Hall was given bonds of $100,000 on each charge.

Placer County Man Punches Bear In Face To Save His Dog

A foothills man came face-to-face with a bear outside his home. He didn’t run. He didn’t call wildlife officials.

Instead, he wound up and punched the bear in the face.

Carl Moore is not a guy who scares easily.

“The man or beast that I run from ain’t been born, and his momma’s already dead,” he said.

He’s 73 years old with a wiry frame and one heck of a character. And it turns out he’s also quite a bear fighter.

“I ain’t run from nothing; I never have in my whole life and I ain’t going to start now,” he said. “And you’re not going to sacrifice my babies for some damn bear.”

Baltimore Bouncer Protects Store With Machete Because ‘I Can’t Pull Out A Shotgun’

 http://grumpyelder.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/CDo91TwWAAAolQF.jpg

A bouncer at Old Clubhouse Beer & Wine in Baltimore was forced to use a machete Monday night to fight off about 50 would-be looters, he said.

“It’s the only thing I have. I can’t pull out a shotgun,” the bouncer, 32-year-old Brian Woodyard, told The Washington Post.

Raf Sanchez of The U.K. Telegraph photographed a masked Woodyard standing outside of the store, which is located on the northwest side of town, near where riots and looting began earlier on Monday.

Via Joe

(WUSA-TV)

Baltimore resident Freddie Gray suffered “catastrophic injury” when he slammed into the back of the police transport van, breaking his neck, multiple law enforcement sources reportedly told WJLA-TV. A bolt found in the back of the van matches the specific head injury Gray sustained, the sources said.

The unnamed law enforcement sources reportedly briefed the news station on the findings of a police investigation that was handed over to prosecutors on Thursday and the medical examiner’s preliminary findings.

These Are The 10 Most Dangerous Cities In North Carolina

Via Cousin Bill

Do you live in one of the most dangerous cities in North Carolina?

We all watch the news and see the Facebook feeds come across of the latest crimes that are happening in our home towns. While a major crime just blocks away from your house can make you feel really uneasy, in the big picture, most likely, where you live is relatively safe.

However, in order to help North Carolina residents–and future residents–of this fine state know just how close they are to danger, we crunched some numbers from the annual FBI report. Some of the results were a little surprising, while some were not.

Here are the current 10 most dangerous cities in North Carolina:

17 Things About the Baltimore Riots the Media Won't Tell You

Via Joe

http://www.gopusa.com/news/files/2015/04/baltimore_rioters.jpg
 It's all for Freddie.........

Much of the mainstream media coverage of the Baltimore riots has focused on the supposed misdeeds of police in a city with an alleged history of police brutality, but far less attention has been given to a number of complicating factors surrounding the outbreak.

Widespread rioting, looting, and burning erupted on Monday after the funeral of 25-year-old Freddie Gray, who was arrested in Baltimore on April 12 and died a week later from spinal injuries he suffered while in custody.

Here is a Newsmax look at the 17 things about the Baltimore riots the media won't tell you:

1. Gray had an arrest record. He had been arrested a total of 22 times in Maryland, primarily for possession and distribution of illegal narcotics. Gray had been involved in 20 criminal court cases, five of which were still active at the time of his death.

2. Gray was armed. Police found him carrying a switchblade knife.

3. Police pursued Gray after he made eye contact with officers and fled. That's sufficient cause for pursuit if the fleeing suspect is in a drug-invested area, which Gray was.

The author of a book hammering Hillary Clinton says he now has full-time security

The author of a controversial new book about Bill and Hillary Clinton said on Wednesday that he has arranged full-time security for himself.

Asked during a Bloomberg interview if he received any death threats over his controversial book, "Clinton Cash," Peter Schweizer would only say he has "security."

"I'll just say we have security. And that security is not something that just came because we decided to have security. And we'll just leave it at that," he said.

President Obama’s first inauguration was served to students in some Hawkins County, Tennessee schools last week.

Hawkins County Commissioner Michael Herrell was alerted after a cafeteria worker sent him a photo of the pork roast they used for school meals was from 2009.

The 6-year-old meat had been frozen and then was thawed for meal preparation, according to WCYB.

Herrell said the photo was taken at Joseph Rogers Primary School where the staff decided not to serve the meat.

However, it was served at other schools.

Cherokee Comprehensive High School, for example, served the pork after a debate.

NC: GRNC Alert 4-30-15 HB 562 Survives…Barely

Image result for GRNC

Thanks to your input, which sent thousands of emails and calls to legislators, House Bill 562 is still alive, but hanging by a thread. As you know, a bill must pass at least one chamber by April 30 to remain alive. Because the bill requires two debates on the chamber floor (Second and Third Readings), which must be done on successive days, effectively it needed to hit the floor by April 29.

The bad news is that didn’t make the floor yesterday. Due to the anti-gun actions of Rep. LEO DAUGHTRY (R-Johnston, GRNC evaluation under review), the Judiciary Chairman leading the effort to gut the bill, the GOP caucus couldn’t gather enough support to pass the bill on the floor and send it to the Senate.

The good news is that House Rules Chairman DAVID LEWIS (R-Harnett , GRNC ****) kept the bill alive by convening a meeting of Rules during a recess, adding a fiscal note and re-referring the bill to the Appropriations Committee. Under legislative rules, bills with fiscal considerations are immune from the crossover deadline and may be introduced and passed at any time.

Therefore, although we weren’t able to pass HB 562, it remains alive and will likely be acted on next week. One caveat: Leadership says they still want to “work on” the bill, meaning your continued input will be crucial.

Supreme Court Justice raises religious liberty concerns during gay marriage arguments

Via Billy

rsz_supreme_court_us_2010

During oral arguments before the U.S. Supreme Court Tuesday, Justice Antonin Scalia raised a concern shared by many Christians that establishing gay marriage as a constitutional right would require pastors to violate their deeply held beliefs and perform marriage ceremonies for same-sex couples.

“I’m concerned about the wisdom of this court imposing through the Constitution a requirement of action which is unpalatable to many of our citizens for religious reasons,” Scalia told Mary Bonauto, a lawyer arguing in favor of same-sex marriage. “They are not likely to change their view about what marriage consists of. And were the States to adopt it by law, they could make exceptions to what is required for same-sex marriage, who has to honor it and so forth. But once it’s made a matter of constitutional law, those exceptions — for example, is it conceivable that a minister who is authorized by the State to conduct marriage can decline to marry two men if indeed this Court holds that they have a constitutional right to marry? Is it conceivable that that would be allowed?”

The Future of Guns: Political Battle Will Focus on States

Via avordvet

The most significant development won’t be a nationwide swing toward gun rights or gun control—but a widening and entrenched gulf that will divide Americans politically, socially and even technologically.

Gun-control initiatives will follow the approach blazed by the gun lobby, shifting away from the national stage and focusing increasingly on state-level efforts in places like California, Colorado, Connecticut and Washington. With the gun debate focused on state-level politics, high-profile shootings will exacerbate the division between these two Americas: in restrictive states, a demand for more laws; in permissive states, a demand for more guns.

The dirty little secret no one wants to admit about Baltimore

Via Joe

Image result for The dirty little secret no one wants to admit about Baltimore

The population of Baltimore is 622,000 and 63 percent of its population is black. The mayor, state’s attorney, police chief and city council president are black, as is 48 percent of the police force. But as 36-year-old Robert Stokes says, “You look around and see unemployment. Filling out job applications and being turned down because of where you live and your demographic. It’s so much bigger than the police department.”

Everyone wants to have an honest conversation about race, so let’s us endeavor to do just that. Now, of course, when you speak the hard truth about race issues in America – and not just the liberal progressive talking points – and you’re white, you’ll be branded a racist. And if you’re black, well, y’all just watch the comments below and see the denigrating drivel.

As posted on Breitbart.com by John Nolte, “Contrary to the emotional blackmail some leftists are attempting to peddle, Baltimore is not America’s problem or shame. That failed city is solely and completely a Democrat problem.”

Texas Ranger: “There Are Trains With Shackles On Them”

Via Jeffery

shackles

The reports about the coming Jade Helm 15 operation across the southwest continue to suggest that this is not merely a standard training exercise to prepare our military personnel for foreign engagements as has been suggested by officials.

A letter sent to Dave Hodges at The Common Sense Show by a concerned Texas Ranger indicates that the government is preparing for a scenario similar to what has been described in William Forstchen’s recent novella Day of Wrath in which ISIS terrorists cross the southern border of the United States and simultaneously attack soft targets across the nation.

But the letter doesn’t stop there. The Ranger, who has kept his identify private for obvious reasons and makes clear that the scope of Jade Helm is so secret that the intent is not completely clear, says that the JH15 mission objectives may go much farther than just preparing for terrorists. According to the law enforcement insider there are trains moving throughout Texas and some of them have been outfitted with shackles, presumably to “transport prisoners of some sort.” The claim adds further credence to a report about Jade Helm dissident roundups and arrests and widespread martial law declarations following an emergency.

White House on Texas Gov. Abbott: ‘No Idea What He’s Thinking’ in Monitoring Federal Troops

Well, everyone else with a brain knows......

White House spokesman Josh Earnest sought to allay concerns about a military exercise in Texas after Gov. Greg Abbott ordered the state’s National Guard to monitor federal troops.

“I have no idea what he’s thinking,” Earnest told reporters Wednesday.

Abbott announced Tuesday that he directed Maj. Gen. Gerald “Jake” Betty, commander of the Texas State Guard, to monitor the joint military exercise known as Operation Jade Helm 15 taking place in six states from July to September. Abbott is asking the guard to provide updates to the governor’s office

“During the training operation, it is important that Texans know their safety, constitutional rights, private property rights and civil liberties will not be infringed,” Abbott said in the letter to Betty. “By monitoring the operation on a continual basis, the state guard will facilitate communications between my office and the commanders of the operation to ensure adequate measures are in place to protect Texans.”

President Obama Declares Police To Be Racist And A National “Crisis”

Via comment by faithbrother on Ghettos

Yet again the Great Divider goes before the national media and points a thin finger at law enforcement across the country and declares them to be the cause of so much unrest within poverty-stricken minority communities. Mr. Obama does so at a time when America needs leadership that unifies, but he has never shown himself capable or willing of such leadership.

So even in Baltimore, a city that has long been a liberal bastion run by minorities including a minority-dominated police department, Barack Obama throws the gasoline of racism onto the fire of discontent. The facts mean nothing – only the intended outcome which it seems is to further divide the country against itself, and at the same time demand the federal government be given greater powers under the guise of making things right.

First, let’s see how the Land of Oz deals with would-be welfare “refugees.”

Serious looking bloke — check. Serious message — check. Serious about border securitand immigration — check, and check.

We could use some of that. Instead of a serious bloke in a camouflage uniform (that, unlike our Army, the Diggers have not seen fit to change in a couple of decades), we have an airhead Beltway-nomenklatura lawyer named Sarah Saldana as head of our Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency, which she has stripped the “enforcement” clean out of and sunk, as we noted this week, to the bottom of the briny deep of morale with the deft assurance of Gunther Prien in U-47 torpedoing HMS Ark Royal in Scapa Flow.

Here’s Ms Saldana, displaying the limits of ability in one who has been steadily advanced in government and other large organizations by dint of affirmative action, and has lost (or, more probably, never developed) the ability to think like people in the real world have to do.
