Is Turkey Lying: Rescued Russian Pilot Says There Was No Warning Before F-16 Opened Fire

Via comments by Anonymous on US Backed "Rebels" Execute Russian Pilots While Pa...

The conflicting stories over yesterday's dramatic downing of a Russian jet on the Syria-Turkish border continue to grow, and after the ongoing confusion whether the Russian pilot did or did not enter Turkish territory for a grand total of 17 seconds, moments ago Konstantin Murahtin, the co-pilot from the downed Russian jet who survived the ground fire by US-armed rebels unlike his pilot, and who was rescued by the Syrian army, said that contrary to official reports that Turkey had somehow warned the Russian jet "10 times" (in 17 seconds?) that it would fire, Turkey had in fact given no warning whatsoever before downing the Russian jet.
This is what he said, cited by Sputnik:
"There were no warnings. Not via the radio, not visually. There was no contact whatsoever. That's why we were keeping our combat course as usual. You have to understand what the cruising speed of a bomber is compared to an F-16. If they wanted to warn us, they could have shown themselves by heading on a parallel course. But there was nothing. And the rocket hit our tail completely unexpectedly. We didn't even see it in time to take evasive maneuvres."

  1. On one side you have Turkey and it's NATO allies ALL of whom have access to the GUARD frequencies such warnings are broadcast on...you have MULTIPLE instances of such airspace violations with formal protestations. You have the RECORDED radar data to show where the SU-24 is....all hard data.

On the other side you have a pilot who violated territorial airspace and got his jet shot down. He's sure as hell not going to admit he screwed up.....of COURSE he's going to lie about what happened. The ONLY question is if Putin is TELLING these pilots to do these inflammatory things or if he's posturing to cover up for their stupidity.

    1. Do you have links to the items in your first paragraph? I haven't seen anything conclusive, but I am only able to be online a few hours each day. Thanks.

  2. Fox news broadcast tapes of the verbal warnings. Pentagon officials have stated that other NATO forces heardthe warnings. In addition to Turkey Norway , Sweden and other countries have had incursions of their airspace and coastal waters by Russian forces repeatedly in the past couple years. What happened is not really debateable. Multiple NATO nations have assets in the region and the ability to document these incursions.

I believe Putin didn't really believe anything would happen other than protests....now he's backed himself into a corner. If he admits Russia has been breaking international law his credibility suffers so he's going to double down and roll the dice again. Expect more provocation by Russian forces. They are wrong in this instance but won't admit it for political reasons.

This is dangerous as we are obligated to defend Turkey under NATO treaty. Russia could easily trigger a world war by poking at Turkey. Putin is gambling....but I don't think he understands fully just what the West will or will not tolerate. This is a game of brinksmanship with very real and deadly consequences.

    1. Something is rotten in the state of Denmark: 10 warnings in 17 seconds?

  3. Have you heard the latest news?

Our United States of America is now an ally of Russia.

It's my understanding that tomorrow, Thursday 26 November 2015, the Americans intend to destroy Turkey.
