NC: "Europe feels NO NEED for guns because they have doors on their apartments that are extremely tough.

No, you can’t just kick them in like flimsy American doors. They are real security."

Well, a door might be easier to carry around than a cop.................:)

Guns have blazed a bloody path through the news in recent weeks. A TV reporter and cameraman killed on live TV in Virginia. A Texas sheriff's deputy shot 15 times at a gas station. A state trooper in Louisiana and a policeman in Illinois fatally shot in the line of duty. In Raleigh, a gunman went on a rampage, killing a pawn shop owner, raping a 15-year-old girl and shooting and robbing a man entering a New Bern Avenue hotel.

For many gun rights supporters the answer to such mayhem is more guns, though in these cases the pawn shop owner, the deputy and the officer were armed. They say guns in the classroom could have stopped the Virginia Tech massacre or the mass killing in the Colorado movie theater. That’s why we need guns in bars, restaurants, schools, playgrounds and national parks.

  1. What a blockhead! Maybe he should post a sign out front of his house that says, "This house is a gun-free zone." He might also put a sign on his back that says, "Kick Me."

  2. People with this backwards, and most likely clinically sub-normal way of thinking, see the reality of living in a self imposed jail cell as perfectly fine, instead of taking personal responsibility for their own safety and demanding personal freedom.
I'd rather be free in my comfort in feeling safe no matter where I am in my own country instead of only feeling safe and cozy, while cowering, in my carpeted cell.

    Wow...
