Kentucky Court Clerk Kim Davis is getting some national support from former Arkansas governor and presidential candidate Mike Huckabee. Huckabee is holding a rally to protest Davis’ imprisonment on a contempt charge.

The rally, called the “I’m With Kim Liberty Rally” will be held in Kentucky on Sept. 8.

  1. This Christian gets jailed; Christian bakeries, photographers and other businesses get shut down and/or fines for not helping celebrate gay marriages. Yet, this "lady" will probably prevail in her legal actions based on her personal beliefs -- a quote from her; "“I don’t think that I should have to choose between practicing my religion properly or earning a living,” Stanley said. “I shouldn’t have to choose between one or the other, because they’re both important.” Care to guess her religion?

  2. I'm sad in my pants. I never thought I would see the day, America jails political prisoners. What has happened and is it even possible to go back to the rule of law under our Constitution. We have a president that pull law out his ass. We have a congress that ignores his unconstitutional actions. Finally, we have the courts making law. I do not see a fix...Well, just one but trying to avoid being a political prisoner myself I think, I will leave it unsaid.

  3. She stood up and put her money where her mouth is. How many of us would do the same? Yeah, I thought so. That's what's wrong with this country nowadays.

  4. What if...

a group of enthusiastic men were to go there and compel the jail to release her?

a certain official were found to have had a terrible accident in his home?

a county sheriff told the fed to fuck off?

a county actually got to decide how it wants to handle marriages?

    1. Reminds me of the Judge's 'what if' program that got him removed from his Fox show. :) Inconvenient facts.
