Well, I know they cannot mess with Memphis or the whole of TN. Forrest and
ReplyDeletehis wife and monument are safe, legally based on the Heritage Protection Act. Any grave, memorial, park, etc pertaining to any war - including the Civil War - cannot be renamed or removed. It's even illegal to remove the bust of Forrest from the capitol.
Mississippi I doubt has these protections.
We need to watch them every step since they are trying to accomplish it regardless. We're tried for years to get a protection bill passed in NC, but so far to no avail.
