Obama Urges Soviet-Style Voting Laws

Via Sioux

Forcing Americans to vote under threat of legal penalty would help to fundamentally transform America, President Obama told a town hall-style meeting in Cleveland yesterday. It is the latest radical leveling scheme that flows from the president’s totalitarian impulses. It is also consistent with his support for “Net Neutrality,” which is a form of censorship and his opposition to the landmark Citizens United decision that affirmed a conservative activist group’s constitutionally guaranteed right to make a movie critical of Hillary Clinton. It is an assault on American democracy itself because one of the ways that people express themselves politically is to stay home on Election Day

Compelled speech is not free speech.

  1. Why not.

We are penalized for not buying a health insurance.

    1. Really, but so far, if they don't owe you money back at tax time, they can't collect it.

  2. I recall when Ron Paul was in the running as a presidential candidate and he was just
disappeared, I didn't vote that year as I was totally pissed about the sneaky
maneuver. I believe one-third of the country also did not vote d/t this.
Could this have anything to do with the Unconstitutional menace. Doesn't look
too good when there is nothing to vote for, legal citizens, that is. Choosing not
to vote is the American way.

I can't imagine compulsory voting getting through, famous last words......:) Talk about non-compliance! They try to do this in Vietnam and as long as one family member goes to the polls, he can vote for all concerned regardless of the number. :)

    2. What is their goal in forcing people to vote? What was it in Vietnam?

  3. Why even bother to vote; they don't owe any allegiance to the voters. The gov
of the USA has become the Bureau of Corporate Affairs. A gov it is not.
Any government where almost every official achieves office by support of private/corporate money is a sham. Governments where bribery is legal (lobbying) differs insignificantly from a brothel. The charade of gov practiced in the USA wouldn't
be possible if the MSM or the Ministry of Propaganda didn't control communications
to the citizens. We bleed while they lead; but, it should be, we lead while they
bleed. And bleed they should for all the misery they've caused, globally.

Good point, but you shouldn't disparage brothels as I'm a connoisseur of such. :)

  4. well, I am late to this party, I can see ;)

If they force us to vote, what if you don't vote for every office, or you do a 'write in' - more than one way to thwart the bastards. I should get the petition going for "None of the Above"

  5. Yup, I should do that... It's bad when I know I am being played, but I just can't resist giving these demons my attention.
