“There is street fighting in Debaltsevo. The enemy is using
Russian Federation [sic] special operations units and Kadyrovites [sic] to
storm Debaltsevo. They control 90% of it. Our forces are defending
strongpoints. The sector HQ and the sector commander have abandoned us, they do
not control the situation, they don’t know where the troops are,”- said “Gross.”
He noted that his troops need immediate help. They tried to
reach the General Staff several times, but there has been no reaction.
“Our troops are facing annihilation,” said the deputy
battalion commander.

From most every source I can read it does seem that the Russian supported rebels are Russians being sent to the Ukraine and not local rebels other than rebel spokesmen. I suspect in a few short years that the Russians will regret their invasion of Ukraine when they find Chinese infiltrating their far east areas and they will get little support from the Ukraine in trying to defend their long border with China. Like Solzhenitsyn, I hoped Putin was smarter than that. There is a good piece at Sipsey Street on Al Sol.
ReplyDeleteMy readings/videos reveal some Russian volunteers, leaders and equipment but the backbone is local. Going to put another video up now. Remember, this all started through the instigation/backing of our criminal government in overthrowing a legally elected president, regardless of what one thinks of him. Thanks.
