Veteran dies after 4-year fight with the VA

Veteran Bradley Michels died from ALS

An East Texas widow says her Air Force veteran husband died last week of Lou Gehrig's disease, also known as ALS, after 4 years of trying to convince the Veteran Affairs (VA) that he was sick.

Janie Michels said her husband, Bradley Michels, would do it all over again, if given the chance.

“He absolutely loved his country. He said it was important to fight for our rights and our freedoms.” said Janie.

Bradley served in the Air Force from 1986 to 1996. He was stationed in South Korea, Germany and Arizona. His tour ended in 1996, but his wife noticed changes in his health.

  1. May God bless him and his family.

So sad what our Government is doing to us all. It's time to shut a lot of these programs down. VA, IRS, EPA.....

  2. The interest of the citizen in the Constitution literally meant the survival of the Disabled American Veteran. Those of us who have served in combat are not likely to ever forget the reasons for the defense of the Constitution, why we fought and died, nor the oath we gave. That Oath is still in effect. It does not cease with discharge from service.
Yet, this is meaningless in today's society. When one is used up, they have no value.

      We shall remember.
