NC: Read Senator Hagan’s Pro-Socialist, Pro-Marxist College Thesis

Via Bill

Kay Hagan

Gotnews.com has exclusively obtained Senator Kay Hagan’s pro-Marxist, pro-Socialist college thesis.

Hagan, then writing under her married maiden name of Ruthven, approvingly cited left-wing progressive thinkers, including Charles Beard and Thorstein Veblen, in a 1974 college thesis titled, “The Silent Sentinels.”

The thesis pushed the then-controversial Equal Rights Amendment in a thesis ostensibly about the suffragists.

Hagan advocated a progressive view of positive rights and approvingly cited socialist writer, Thorstein Veblen. She also cited economic Marxist Charles Beard who argued that the American founding was from selfish motives rather than philosophical foundations. Hagan downplays the role that natural rights play in the American founding and pushes a left-wing view of rights as evolving overtime.

Obama Asserts Fast and Furious Executive Privilege Claim for Holder’s Wife

Via Jonathan

Judicial Watch announced today that it received from the Obama Department of Justice (DOJ) a “Vaughn index” detailing records about the Operation Fast and Furious scandal.  The index was forced out of the Obama administration thanks to JW’s June 2012 Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request and subsequent September 2012 FOIA lawsuit (Judicial Watch v. Department of Justice (No. 1:12-cv-01510)).  A federal court had ordered the production over the objections of the Obama Justice Department.

The document details the Attorney General Holder’s personal involvement in managing the Justice Department’s strategy on media and Congressional investigations into the Fast and Furious scandal.

Notably, the document discloses that emails between Attorney General Holder and his wife Sharon Malone – as well as his mother – are being withheld under an extraordinary claim of executive privilege as well as a dubious claim of deliberative process privilege under the Freedom of Information Act.  The “First Lady of the Justice Department” is a physician and not a government employee.

NC: 1 dead after grandfather shoots trio in attempted rape of teen granddaughter, sheriff says

Killed and good riddance to bad rubbish. Hopefully the other two will die also.

A grandfather shot back and is believed to have killed a suspect in a home-invasion and attempted rape of his teen granddaughter on Monday night, Robeson County Sheriff's officials said.

The grandfather was also shot – but  he also managed to shoot the 2 other suspects in the home-invasion and attempted rape, said Maj. Anthony Thompson with the Robeson County Sheriff's Office.

The incident started around 10 pm at a house on Yedda Road in Lumberton on Monday night when someone knocked on the home of the grandfather, his wife and their 19-year-old granddaughter, according to the sheriff's office.

Two of three men – all wearing black clothes, ski masks and gloves -- stormed into the house and demanded money, officials said.

Court sides with IRS in tea-party targeting scandal

Rule of law?  Forget it.

A federal judge has sided with the Internal Revenue Service and dismissed lawsuits by tea-party groups seeking redress for the secret targeting of their applications for tax-exempt status, which the groups argued were intentionally delayed for political purposes.

The tea party organizations immediately announced they would appeal the decision by Washington, D.C., District Judge Reggie B. Walton, who was appointed by former President George W. Bush.

Walton ruled that two lawsuits by Texas-based True the Vote and Linchpins of Liberty, along with 41 other conservative groups, were moot because the IRS took steps to address the scandal and “publicly suspended its targeting scheme.”

Jay Sekulow, chief counsel of the American Center for Law & Justice, which filed the lawsuit on behalf of the tea party groups, said he plans to appeal the case.

“No Refusal” Blood Draw Checkpoint Planned for Ohio

"No Refusal" Blood Draw Checkpoint Planned for Ohio
Controversial procedure considered a 4th amendment violation by some
A “no refusal” checkpoint where drivers will be forced to stop and potentially submit to having their blood taken on the side of the road by law enforcement authorities is planned for Clark County, Ohio tomorrow.

“Every car will be checked to ensure that drivers are not impaired. If there is sufficient probable cause to believe that a driver is operating a vehicle while impaired, law enforcement will seek a blood search warrant from a “neutral and detached magistrate,” reports ABC 22.

The time and location of the checkpoint will not be released until hours before it is set to begin.

Is the Constitution Really Inimical To States Rights?

Via Billy

A lot of years ago now, when I first became involved in conservative and patriotic endeavors, I can recall many patriotic folks saying that we needed to get our government “back to the Constitution.”

While I believe that would be a step in the right direction, away from the rogue government we have now with its Marxist proclivities, I am not sure that, in the long run, this would solve all our problems. Although for a little over a decade I believed that myself, so I am not faulting in any way those that believe it. However, over the years, events have changed my thinking.

DANVILLE FLAG OUTCOME "A VICTORY FOR COMMON SENSE OVER POLITICAL CORRECTNESS"

SHNV
VERBATIM

In a major victory for Americans of Confederate heritage, the City of Danville today squashed the attempts by The Danville Museum of Fine Arts and History to remove the Third National Flag of the Confederacy from its grounds at the historic Sutherlin mansion.

"This is a huge victory for common sense over political correctness," said Kelly Barrow, the Commander in Chief of the 30,000 member Sons of Confederate Veterans, a heritage organization made up of direct descendants of those who fought for the Confederate States of America.

"The Sutherlin Mansion is called the Last Capital of the Confederacy because Jefferson Davis and his Cabinet stayed there after Richmond fell in 1865," said Barrow. "That flag flies there as a very significant part of American history. What the museum was proposing was nothing less than an unthinking insult to the more than 70 million Americans whose ancestors fought for the Southern cause. It amounts to an attempt to whitewash American and Virginian history."

In a brief statement, the City of Danville acknowledged that Virginia law prevents the removal of the flag. Attorney Fred Taylor, who represented individual citizens of Danville, said, "I am pleased to hear of the decision by the Danville City Council. Virginia state law is clear regarding the protection of the monument and the memorial, and it is reassuring to see the City Council honor its original 7994 agreement with the Heritage Preservation Association and the citizens of Danville, avoiding what could have been a needless and costly legal battle."

I would like to think that I'm not a coward, but when it comes to war, I'd much rather kill the enemy in a manner not resembling a fair fight at all. That is why I love snipers so much, the allow us to detect the enemy and kill them before they know what hit them.

Struggling retailer Sears Holdings Corp. will lay off at least 5,457 employees and close over 100 stores, many before Christmas, according to a Seeking Alpha report citing liquidation notices and employees.

Sears shares rose 4.6 percent to $36 in premarket trading.

At least 46 Kmart stores, 30 Sears department stores and 31 Sears Auto Centers are scheduled to close before the end of January, said the report.

CDC admitted disease imported as states data reveals illegal immigrant links

Barbara Smith (R), a nurse with Mount Sinai Health System, and Bryan Christensen, a doctor for the CDC Domestic Infection Control Team for the Ebola Response, demonstrate to put on protection.

In straightforward defiance against the White House position of non-transparency, previous communication from the Center for Disease Control discovered Tuesday acknowledged that 97 percent of the measles found in United States this year could be attributed to “importations from at least 18 countries.”

Soon, after school doors opened this semester, doctors and hospitals across the country began tackling massive flare-ups of infectious diseases and severe respiratory illness among children. Experts have called these outbreak unprecedented.

“It’s worse in terms of scope of critically ill children who require intensive care,” noted Children’s Mercy Hospital’s division director for Infectious Diseases, Dr. Mary Anne Jackson. I've practiced for 30 years in pediatrics, and I’ve never seen anything quite like this.”

ISIS black flag still flies over Kobani, jihadists reportedly recapture Kobani hill

The chilling sight of the Islamic State's black jihadist flag is still visible in Kobani - despite Kurdish territorial gains and weeks of sustained airstrikes by American and Arab warplanes.

The Islamic State IS group was thought to have been pushed out of the centre of the besieged Syrian city after hundreds of brave Kurdish resistance fighters coordinated fierce street battles with coalition bombing raids - forcing the well-equipped jihadist to retreat into the outskirts of Kobani.

But this morning the group's black jihadist flag could clearly still be seen inside city, raised over a multi-storey building just a few hundred feet away from where the yellow, triangular flag of the Kurdish People's Protection Unit (YPG) could be seen fluttering above a largely destroyed housing complex.

IS militants have recaptured a village on a strategic hill overlooking the besieged city of Kobani in Syrian Kurdistan, according to eyewitnesses on Thursday, Rudaw reported.

Canada Parliament Suspect Identified as a Convert to Islam

Kay Hagan’s Net Worth Has Jumped 37 Percent Since She Took Office

Via Cousin John

Becoming a U.S. senator can be great way to increase your personal wealth. Just ask Kay Hagan, whose net worth has increased almost 40 percent since getting elected.

According to CQ Roll Call, which tracks the wealth of members of Congress on an annual basis, Hagan’s minimum net worth (figures are provided in broad ranges on financial disclosure forms) was $6.67 million when she took office in 2009. As of this year, Hagan had a minimum net worth of $9.12 million, which amounts to a 37 percent over her Senate career.

In the past year alone, Hagan saw a 13 percent increase in her net worth, and moved up four spots on CQ Roll Call’s list of richest members of Congress, to 41st (out of 535). Not too shabby.

I know many people have no interest in watching the boob tube because 99% of the programming is either mindless drivel or government sanctioned propaganda. It’s the 1% that reflects the deeper themes and moods engulfing our society. Television shows like Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, and The Walking Dead reflect the darkening mood of this intensifying Fourth Turning. I wrote one of my more pessimistic articles called Welcome to Terminus in April regarding the season four finale of the Walking Dead series. I essentially argued we are approaching the end of the line and the world is going to get real nasty.

In the six short months since I wrote that depressing article, we’ve seen men beheaded on Youtube videos by terrorists no one had ever heard of at the beginning of this year. Somehow a ragtag band of 30,000 Muslim terrorists, using American military equipment supplied to fight Assad in Syria and taken from the Iraqi Army when they turned tail and ran away, have been able to defeat 600,000 Iraqi and Kurd fighters with air support from the vaunted U.S. Air Force. Syria, Iraq, Libya, and Afghanistan descend into never ending religious based warfare. We’ve even had passenger planes mysteriously disappear in Asia with no trace.
