"If Lindsey Graham is a conservative, why are liberal PACs spending millions of dollars to re-elect him?"

http://i.huffpost.com/gen/1011433/thumbs/r-LINDSEY-GRAHAM-IMMIGRATION-large570.jpg?6

If Lindsey Graham is re-elected, it will be one of the greatest political scams in American history. It may also be one of the greatest tragedies for the American people.

It will result in a heavy burden for American workers and their families with more lower-paid foreign workers displacing them in the workplace and driving down their wages. Taxpayers will pick up a large part of the tab to benefit employers using lower-cost foreign labor.

                                    Mark Zuckerberg's Self-Serving Immigration Crusade

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg's self-serving crusade for cheaper and younger foreign workers includes heavy support for Lindsey Graham, a key co-sponsor of Senate bill S.744, giving amnesty to over 12 million illegal immigrants and allowing 30 to 35 million more legal immigrant workers into the country in the next decade.

But the people of South Carolina are barraged day after day with TV and radio ads, many of them by Obama backing liberal Zuckerberg's phony conservative PACs, telling the people that Lindsey Graham is a conservative leader.  But Lindsey's Graham's amnesty and foreign worker surge bill is going to break the economic backs of ordinary working people, and taxpayers will pay for the breaking.

Family: Vet killed in weekend standoff sought medical care

 http://kctv.images.worldnow.com/images/25624962_BG1.jpg

It was a painful Memorial Day weekend for the Sims family.

Their son, an Iraq War veteran, was killed during a police standoff. The family said he turned to the Kansas City VA Medical Center for help, only to get turned away.

Sgt. Isaac Shawn Sims, 26, was the pride and joy of his family. He was a third generation Army veteran who served with the 82 Airborne. His family says the Army was his life, but that life came at a price.

"An eardrum had been blown out and he has 80 percent disability from brain injuries," said Patricia Sims, Isaac's mother.

The physical wounds he received in Iraq only tell part of the story, according to his parents. Isaac Sims suffered from severe depression, migraines and post-traumatic stress disorder, all from seeing his friends and comrades die in combat.

"He had to pick up body parts, he had to move forward as if nothing happened," Patricia Sims said.

His mother said her son recently drove around Kansas City in this hummer believing he was back on the battlefield. His mother rode shotgun.

"And saying ‘this is how we look for IEDs mama. This is what we do. Round and round.' Then he'd show me on YouTube the videos of an IED exploding," Patricia Sims said.

Frustrated and frightened, his parents pleaded to the VA for help.

Two Men Threaten Young Lady over the Phone, Show Up With Guns, Armed Dad Steps In

Screen Shot 2014-05-27 at 4.55.18 PM

An armed father is not someone I’d ever want to be on the wrong side of. That’s exactly what two men in their twenties faced last night though.

According to media reports, the two men had called a woman at a Salt Lake City residence and made threats. When the woman stopped answering the phone, the men decided to show up at her home – armed with guns.

The pair kicked in a door to the home, which alerted the girl’s father. The father grabbed his handgun and went to confront the intruders.

When he recognized the men, they fled.

Veterans’ bodies left to rot in L.A. morgue

On top of veterans being put on an interminable waiting list at V.A. hospitals in violation of hospital policy, so interminable that some actually died before they could get an appointment to see a primary care physician, now comes news that bodies of deceased veterans were left to rot in a morgue for as long as a year and a half.

Section 578 of Public Law 106-65 of the National Defense Authorization Act for FY 2000 requires that every eligible Veteran receive a military funeral honors ceremony, to include folding and presenting the United States burial flag and the playing of Taps. The law defines a military funeral honors detail as consisting of two or more uniformed military persons, with at least one being a member of the Veteran’s parent service of the armed forces. The Department of Defense (DOD) is responsible for providing military funeral honors. (Source: U.S. Dept. of Veterans Affairs)

Not only is the Obama administration’s DOD not providing military funeral honors to veterans in Los Angeles, some of them don’t even get a burial.

Worst pitch ever?

1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429 Fastback, 1 of 89 Built in Calypso Coral

S118 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429 Fastback KK #2500, 1 of 89 Built in Calypso Coral Photo 1

There are many great Mustangs in the world, restored to like-new condition, looking for all the world like they just drove off the showroom floor. But for a few, great isn’t good enough. Great might not win the Team Shelby National Diamond Award; nor win Division 1 at the Shelby American Automobile Club Concours. Boss 429 KK 2500, however, is so righteous that it’s done both.

It’s easy for anyone to see why the Boss Nine has turned into a legend. As with many other great muscle cars, it has its roots in racing, in this case a new engine that needed to be homologated for NASCAR after Ford’s SOHC 427 Cammer was kicked out of competition.

The 429 is a truly exotic engine, from the O-ring dry-deck aluminum hemispherical cylinder heads; to the four-bolt main for the forged-steel crank; to the yawning 2.28 inch intake and 1.90 inch exhaust valves.

Man shot multiple times, but still saves day

Police in California say they are looking for several suspects in a home invasion after a 22-year-old victim grabbed a gun and engaged in a gunfight to protect his younger siblings who also were in the house.

He succeeded in killing one of apparently four men who crashed in the front door, and wounding another, and police have on video the license plate number for the van in which two suspects apparently delivered their injured comrade to a hospital.

The dead attacker’s body was found at the home.

Acting Sheriff Mike Boudreaux told KFSN Television that there were four siblings in the home – their parents, farm workers, already had left for work before the 5:30 a.m. attack.

He said a 22-year-old “became aware of the robbery or potential intruders when the front door of the home was breached.”

He grabbed a gun from a safe “to protect himself and three siblings,” ages 3, 11 and 18, authorities said.

“He was fighting for his life,” the sheriff said.

A gun battle inside the home left the 22-year-old, whose name was not immediately released, with multiple gunshot wounds and he was hospitalized and expected to recover. His siblings were uninjured, authorities said.

NC: Army hospital chief relieved of command

Via LH

http://wncn.images.worldnow.com/images/3791551_G.jpg

The chief of an Army medical center has been relieved of his command because of problems with patient care, and the Pentagon has ordered a review of its health care system, defense officials said.

The commander was replaced Tuesday at Womack Army Medical Center at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and three deputies were suspended, the Army said in a statement.

The shake-up comes after two deaths this month of patients in their 20s and problems with infection control at the facility that were pointed out in March by a hospital accreditation group, according to two defense officials. They spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the matter publicly.

‘Knockout game’ punk chased down by victim’s friend, Dreadlock Torn From Scalp

Some may feel that New Yorker Ibrahim King, 36, got what he deserved after he thought it would be “funny” to punch a totally unsuspected 21-year-old girl in the face in an apparent bout of the loathsome “knockout game.” After he punched the girl without warning he was chased down, slammed around, had his dreadlock pulled out of his scalp and forced to apologize by a bystander.

Then he was arrested!

Ingenious thieves find new way to steal fuel

Ingenious fuel thieves are causing alarm all over the U.S., as station owners and industry officials grapple not only with loss of revenue but danger to public safety. Besides the economic losses, officials across the country fear these potential “rolling bombs.”

In Florida’s Miami-Dade County, teams of diesel thieves are getting more daring and inventive with their methods, purloining fuel at several locations as officials struggle to find suspects.

Authorities say two- or three-man teams simply drive over fuel covers atop the underground reservoirs, stop and then open a false bottom in their vehicles. From there, they siphon thousands of dollars of fuel in only a few minutes and enjoy a nice profit when they sell the diesel fuel on the black market.

NC: Elections Board Has Quarter-Million Cases to Probe

strach 2014 crosscheck 5

With a quarter-million questionable voter registrations on the books in NC, it’s no wonder the state elections board needs more investigators. That’s also why sustaining and enforcing the state’s recent voter reforms is more urgent than ever.

One of the articles in the NC Insider (a subscriber-based state politics news publication) this week reported that Kim Strach, Director of the State Board of Elections (SBOE), is asking the General Assembly for money to hire more investigators to look into election-related complaints.
Kim Strach

Strach appears to be taking the results of what she called the “Kansas cross-check” seriously and indicated the SBOE would focus its emerging investigation on the smallest group of questionable voters revealed in the report. Strach referred to the 765 voters whose first and last names, dates of birth and last four digits of their Social Security numbers match up with a voter registration in another state and who have vote histories in both states for the 2012 General Election.

Barack Obama and His Urban Parasites Declare War on the Constitution

Via Jonathan

http://i1238.photobucket.com/albums/ff499/redmder/FR/frsubdued-2nd-defend.jpg?t=1358220904

Who needs the birthers when we have Barack Obama himself?  His recent statement about the role of the U.S. Senate proves that he is a self-declared enemy of the United States Constitution and of its checks and balances on federal power.
At a Democratic fundraiser in Chicago Thursday night, Mr. Obama told a small group of wealthy supporters that there are several hurdles to keeping Democrats in control of the Senate and recapturing the House. One of those problems, he said, is the apportionment of two Senate seats to each state regardless of population.
“Obviously, the nature of the Senate means that California has the same number of Senate seats as Wyoming. That puts us at a disadvantage,” Mr. Obama said.
Of course, Wyoming has the same Senate representation as California specifically to prevent individuals like Barack Obama, and his constituency of urban parasites, from imposing their will on the less populous states.  This "Great Compromise" of 1787 was a condition of these states' willingness to join the United States in the first place.

This is also why each state gets no fewer than three electoral votes, regardless of population.  Hillary Clinton dislikes this arrangement, because it gives her constituency less leverage in presidential elections.

Will You Be On The List? Greenwald to Publish Names of Those Targeted by US Spying

Anyone who isn't on it needs to step up their activity. :)

American journalist Glenn Greenwald has said he will publish the names of dissidents and critics who have been the target of US spying activities.

Greenwald, whose reporting of documents leaked by Edward Snowden helped expose the scope and scale of US spying activities, says key questions regarding the US National Security Agency’s specific targets have remained unanswered which he is about to answer.

Veterans Affairs whistleblowers face 'long slog' in fighting retaliation

Those who have revealed potentially lethal lapses in health care say they have been ridiculed, transferred, demoted and sometimes fired by agency managers attempting to cover up wrongdoing and silence anyone who dares challenge their dangerous practices.

The fates of those who have already stepped forward are critical now. The agency's inspector general is investigating reports across the country that patient records were falsified or destroyed to hide long wait times for medical care.

Retired officers poised to profit after Pentagon’s alarmist climate change report

 Via The New Rebellion University

CNA Vice Chairman and retired Navy Vice Adm. Lee Gunn is president of the American Security Project, a private think tank whose primary issue is warnings about climate change.

Retired military officers deeply involved in the climate change movement — and some in companies positioned to profit from it — spearheaded an alarmist global warming report this month that calls on the Defense Department to ramp up spending on what it calls a man-made problem.

The report, which the Obama administration immediately hailed as a call to action, was issued not by a private advocacy group but by a Pentagon-financed think tank that trumpets “absolute objectivity.” The research was funded by a climate change group that is also one of the think tank’s main customers.
