As my mother would say, truer words were never spoken.

1966 Chevrolet Biscayne L72 Sedan 427/425 HP, 4-Speed

 F236 1966 Chevrolet Biscayne L72 Sedan 427/425 HP, 4-Speed Photo 1

This sinister-looking 1966 Chevrolet Biscayne is one of approximately 200 built with the L72 427/425 HP big block engine and one of 11 believed to exist today. Ordered in October 1965 by Bader Chevrolet in Fontana, California, it was used by Bader as a drag racer for several years. The L72 big block is backed by a Muncie close-ratio 4-speed and 4.10 Positraction rear end.

Its drag-racing origins are evident in its heavy duty chassis equipment, special-purpose suspension, heavy-duty clutch fan, factory tachometer and rare radio delete, but it presents in award-winning showroom condition after a four-year frame-off restoration completed in 2010. Showing a believed-correct 50,000 miles, this rust-free California car boasts luscious Tuxedo Black paint in combination with a pristine code 876 Red bench seat interior.

Keep poking the hornet's nest, commies.

A Nevada congressman is calling on elected officials in the state to rid a town in his district of militia members who have rallied around rancher Cliven Bundy in his battle with federal land managers.

Rep. Steven Horsford, in an address to the Clark County Democratic Convention in Las Vegas on Saturday, said he's making the request after hearing more complaints from constituents about the presence of Bundy supporters near Bunkerville, 75 miles northeast of Las Vegas.

In encampments around the Bundy ranch, self-described militia members from around the country continue to camp with handguns on their hips and heavier weaponry within reach in a show of support for Bundy.

A few days from now many of us will be in North Carolina at Brock's spring PatCon.  On Friday it looks like we'll have at least a dozen for the CQB class, many of whom are returning alumni.  We'll run the Fight to your Weapon class so new students will get the full experience.  Returning students will be able to run faster this time, and a bit harder.  You'll also get to be a big part of helping the new students master the techniques.  We'll sprinkle a few new techniques into the mix, some Krav from two of our III 300 Patriots, and a few fundamental groundfighting techniques to add to your skillset.

Well, dern

“Historian Justo Sierra has written in his Political Evolution of the Mexican People, that had Mexico not defeated the French in Puebla on May 5, 1862, France would have gone to the aid of the South in the U.S. Civil War and the United States' destiny could have been very different.” The Mexicans were outnumbered 2:1 but they won. How fascinating to contemplate what would have happened if France had won and gone on to join the US Civil War.
