Historic Documented "Eva Braun's" Personal 6.35mm Deutsche Ortgies Semi-Automatic Pistol

This pistol is documented as being the "One of A Kind", personal 6.35mm pistol that was given to "Eva Bruan" personally by Adolf Hitler. This pistol itself is a rather plain and diminutive, Deutsche Werkes Ortgies semi-automatic that was made in 1939 and is not what you would expect from someone in her position, or one that was given by the Fuhrer, Adolf Hitler. However the accompanying documents substantiate the historical lineage from the time it was removed from Eva Bruan's house in Munich in 1945, by the Munich Chief of police to the present day consignor.

    The Orgetis are accurate but putting them back together sucks-you can bend the firing pin spring.

    I wish she would have stuck it in her boyfriends ear and squeezed off a few rounds. Right around 1940ish would have been fine.

    I am tempted to drive over and preview the auction. I have viewed a couple of their auctions in the past. I am not sure how much their admission is anymore but I would guess $25. It might just be worth it.

      Ya, Rock Island is only a 30 minute drive. Every two or three years I head to the Rock Island Arsenal and visit the museum there. They house the John M. Browning Memorial Museum. If you ever have to travel I-80 plan a day in the Quad Cities, The Browning Museum will take half a day or more if you like old weapons. They have Model 1903 Serial Number 1 and M1 Garand Serial Number 2. They also have several weapons from the Battle of Little Bighorn. It has a long tradition one year after Rock Island Arsenal was established a prison camp was built in 1863 to house Confederate prisoners of war.

      It is getting harder to gain access to the Arsenal with all the security. If you are travelling ant distance I would recommend contacting the Arsenal about access.

      :) Here's one a tad bit cheaper and a .25 would be a caliber you don't have as I remember, plus this might become more valuable because of the auction.
