They speak as if there is ANY religion in America that teaches the location of your ashes is important. They have simply created a custom that has no roots, and no significance.
That didn't come across to me, not that it means anything. :) I think anyone's last wishes should be followed whether they wish their ashes be strewn among the sawdust in Hussong's Cantina in Ensenada or their body set alight as they are pushed off in a boat into the Pacific. I had best be put beside my ancestors at Dixeland though, as my tombstone is waiting and hell will be wreaked upon those who dare choose otherwise. :)
My brother, whom I loved dearly, passed away. About two months after his departure, I was sitting on the screened-in porch and noticed a strange insect, the likes I have never seen before or since, fly by the screen and then stop in mid air. I went up to to screen to peer at this strange insect. The insect turned its head and looked at me for a few moments and then flew away. The insect was approx. two inches long, salmon colored body and blue head. I thought this might be my brother.
