Among my earliest and fondest boyhood memories are the annual Christmas parade in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
ReplyDeleteI especially enjoyed seeing the Christmas decorations on the streets, with garlands of green stretched over the streets, and a frosted red bell hanging in the center.
One year, Spring Lake Methodist Church, which we attended, had a float in the parade depicting the Nativity, and the character of Joseph was wearing my father's brown bathrobe, made from material resembling an animals hide.
Wonderful. Memories are made of this and I hope you have all this down.
