Nurses Are Calling in Sick and Refusing to Treat America’s Latest Ebola Patient

America’s latest Ebola patient, Dr. Craig Spencer, was admitted to Bellevue Hospital on Thursday, despite passing the enhanced screening process that is now being used with travelers from Ebola-ridden countries in West Africa.

But Bellevue Hospital has an unforeseen problem.

Nurses are calling in sick and, in doing so, refusing to treat Spencer.

After Thomas Duncan’s death, two nurses who had treated Duncan were diagnosed with Ebola. Despite our CDC director blaming a failure in protocol, it has been said that no protocols were in place.

In light of the failures in Dallas, could you blame anyone who didn’t feel safe in treating Dr. Craig Spencer in New York?

  1. It seems even brain-dead sheeple in New York have a desire for self-preservation. I am surprised I thought they had devolved past self-preservation.

  2. Badger is right. Those people (the Communist sheeple) only want true Americans to give up their rights to survive.

  3. It shouldn't be surprising that the medical/health community is going to exhibit the same % of people with lack of integrity/honor/dedication, as the general population.
We have been eroded with removal of God, humanistic teachings, social engineering and it's-all-about-me- narcissism.

Don't forget that some people in the medical community have:

kidnapped or aided in the kidnapping of children from their parents for non-compliance of "expert" opinions

doctors are bribed by big pharma to overmedicate, treat symptoms instead of diseases; medicate for 'conditions' such as ADHD, ADD,

followed along blindly with stupid regulations that put patients lives at risk.

aided in the passage of obamacare (deathcare).
Questioned patients on gun ownership. Shared confidential information/violation of HIPPA.

I know it's not fair to judge all based on the actions of a few, but I have little faith in anything being righted without a giant re-set. Unfortunately, all these institutions are being destroyed in order to be re-organized into a fascist state of slavery and control.

    2. Yes! Infuriating.

Recently, I've had two friends have their first babies and both couples were sent into a panic by "professionals" (different medical providers) for nothing (except as an excuse to make 5 appointments in the 7 days after being released from the hospital. CHA-CHING)

Another friend who has an 8 yr old that is "obese" . (not hardly). They tried to pull this crap with me with my teenager - the BMI index showed her weight high for her height. Muscle weighs more than fat. Dr. shut up when she showed her her six pack abs. (she rides, trains horses 25hrs a week minimum). I'm running out of new doctor's to try because they are all predatory.

If you have a good health insurance policy you will felt up by the authorities to see how much they can drain out of you. And what really pisses me off is how much they delight in panicking, inconveniencing and bullying people --- and the fear that CPS will take your kid away.
      -rant over :D

  4. Clarification:
I don't blame hospital/health workers for not showing up or wanting to be assigned to an ebola case. Not with the complete incompetence and clusterf#@k that those pointy headed ones in charge have created.

I was thinking more along the lines of whiny, holier than thou nurses who don't think they need to be quarantined and doctors traipsing all over public transit in a possibly infectious state.
