NC: Hundreds rally in support of Rockingham County magistrate

Rockingham County magistrate 102214

At a press conference Tuesday, Sen. Phil Berger and Rep. Bert Jones asked for the full support of former Rockingham County magistrate John Kallam.

Kallam resigned as magistrate late last week after he said he was told to marry same-sex couples or be fired.

This came a week after a federal judge legalized same-sex marriage in North Carolina.
Kallam said marrying a same-sex couple violated his religious beliefs.

  1. In Coeur d' Alene, Idaho a pastor couple (husband and wife) own the "Hitching Post" wedding chapel. Last week I read an article that they are being threatened with arrests and prison if they stand firm to their religious beliefs, and refuse to marry homosexual couples! This after the courts ruled as unconstitutional the Idaho voters flat out rejection of homosexual marriage in Idaho.... Tic, tic, tic....

  2. It is time for all those who fear (respect) God and seek to keep His commandments to cry havoc and let slip the dogs of wars. Time to be Crusaders! If they want war, then let us give it to them in full measure
