I'm conflicted as I don't understand why Michal Farris, the co-founder of both HSLDA and Patrick Henry College , would back this if it would be detrimental.

The Convention of States / Aritcle V Consitutional Convention / Con Con is appealing to people through deception. That is a fact. And that is the tragedy of it.
Digging deeper into the Convention of States, I find that there is a Texas billionaire named Leo Linbeck III, who is the champion of the misnamed Fair Tax. Actually, his father who passed away recently, began that scheme, but his son, Linbeck III, is still in the Fair Tax game, only this time through the COS / Article V proposition.
In the midst of upper economic echelons and now in the midst of middle class, disgruntled taxpayers, Mr. Linbeck has found he can manipulate politicians, and policies with his fortune. Sadly, I find some of my conservative tea party friends being sucked into the whirling toilet bowl he is stirring up. I've been told bysome of them that the Fair Tax is why they want the Convention of States / Constitutional Convention. I wondered why the Con Con was going to be bringing in the Fair Tax, so I went looking for answers. Mr. Leo Linbeck III is that answer.

What a crock- the Article 5 process is NOT a constitutional convention! 3 quarters of the states have to ratify each and every proposed amendment or else it doesn't get adopted! WTF is so hard to grasp here? This pc tries to make some billionaire seem scary- I think the scariest thing is the 520 odd PROGRESSIVE a$$clowns in the House and Senate! We know the Demoncrats are Marxists- why don't we go go 3rd Party for a Liberty Party and shut down this traitor game that the RINOs have been pulling for decades? FORCE the POS's to join their soul-mate friends across the aisle, then we'll at least have an honest real representation for what the real game is! The RINO's showed ALL their leg in the Thad Cochran primary- their only interest is in the fake Left/Right struggle, no outsiders need apply. This stupid fear pc only attempts to short-circuit any momentum at the last peaceful means of bypassing the slugs in DC and re-empowering We The People. Leo is not the problem - he isn't elected to anything! Flat Tax/Fair Tax- EITHER is better than the crap sandwich we have now! Good grief people- beware anybody who likes the status quo!
