Russian General Seeks Nuclear First-Strike Option Against US

A Russian defense minister wants his country's official military doctrine rewritten to allow for a pre-emptive nuclear attack against the United States and NATO, the Russian-language news agency Interfax reports.

Russian Army Gen. Yury Yakubov said the doctrine, last revised in 2010, should be updated to classify the United States and other NATO countries as the "main enemy" of Russia, Interfax reported on Wednesday.

    1. I understand they believe they can win an all out nuclear war and if so, it may go to the first striker.

  2. Just when you thought it was safe to come in from the cold.....war. For those of you who lived through the first one and thought it was safely behind us and those of you who were lucky enough to have a teacher who taught it in school....it's baaaack!

  3. Moscow might win such a war, but it will need to be moved to Siberia. Moscow, that is.

    1. I can't really fathom a winner, to tell you the truth.

    2. I wouldn't consider moving Moscow (what will be left of it) to Siberia exactly a victory either.

  4. When will Russia realize that the American people are not the enemy. We are mostly a nation of live and let live kind of folks(so long as others are not trying to take from us or shove immoral behavior in our face). If there is a problem between us and Russia, than they should take the fight to the jerks that are running this country. I think if 15 large nukes were detonated in America and 15 in Russia it would be enough to leave us with an uninhabitable world and nobody wins.
