NC: Victim pulls pistol on would-be robbers

The victim of an attempted armed robbery Wednesday pulled a pistol on his assailants after they tried to rob him of a rifle he was selling online.

Edvis Miquem Galloway, 24; Kalmeaice Kawanna Williams, 38; and Savon Khalif Hardaway, 18; are each charged with attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.

The victim, whose name was not released, told police he met with three men Wednesday afternoon in the 200 block of Lullwater Drive near the intersection with Market Street to show a rifle he'd posted for sale on Craigslist, said Wilmington Police Department spokeswoman Linda Rawley.

When the victim pulled out the rifle, one of the men took it from him as another held him at gunpoint, the 911 call reveals.
