Major Democratic Donor Supports Southern Secession: South ‘dumbing down’ America

Gettysburg 150th Anniversary

We're ready when y'all are!:)

A major Democratic donor said he supports Southern secession because the South is “dumbing down” national politics, according to emails from a secret progressive Google group obtained by Media Trackers, a conservative Wisconsin news outlet.

In an email thread on Gamechanger Salon—a closed Google group of progressive organizers, reporters, and campaign apparatchiks—Guy Saperstein, a major Democratic donor and part owner of the Oakland Athletics baseball team, said he would support the South seceding.

  1. If any state should secede from the union for dumbing down America, may I suggest that the first state ought be California. That would solve a number of problems and the country as a whole would be the better off for that one act. Second, California ought to be forced to suffer the consequences of its own stupidity. Then those damn Yankee East Coast liberal states (NY, NJ, CN, MA, NE and Mordor on the Potomic) ought to be expelled from the union. They are the source of many of our current and past ills, with usual attitude of we know what is best for you and we are superior to you red necks and hicks in the south and in fly over land.

  3. His lips to God's ear. ;) When do we start? And, to be perfectly blunt, he says that the South should be allowed to secede because our collective IQ is low, then a few sentences later he recommends an open border to allow southern blacks to relocate up north, not realizing that it would result in the collective IQ of the south going up while the collective IQ of the north would go down.

In the immortal words of Joel Chandler Harris, Don't throw me in that briar patch, Br'er Fox!

  5. I agree with you folks who will move S.
I live in PA, which is an amalgamation of libtard transplants (But in minority) as well as a unique, rural type folk that wants to be left alone - the Appalachians (that will only take so much, and then watch out when we are pissed).

The book, Nine Nations of the US (written back in the 80's by some newspaper guy) gives a good synopsis of the makeup of the US. Why the left coast is so similar to the NE nanny-staters. Why there was so much division during the Civil War and Rev War.

It's worth the read if you can find it. I got mine on amazon for less than $5. it's an old book.

      Reminds me of this:

"By Yankee I do not mean everybody from north of the Potomac and Ohio......I am using the term historically to designate that peculiar ethnic group descended from New Englanders, who can be easily recognized by their arrogance, hypocrisy, greed, lack of congeniality, and penchant for ordering other people around. Puritans long ago abandoned anything that might be good in their religion but have never given up the notion that they are the chosen saints whose mission is to make America, and the world, into the perfection of their own image."
