Shortly after 2 A.M. that Sunday, they pulled into the parking lot of so-called “University McDonald's” and beheld a scene unlike anything portrayed in all those wholesome McDonald's television commercials. Before them, hundreds of young black males were loitering about, some without shirts.
Other local residents -- the more cynical and world-weary, both whites and most blacks -- would have taken one look at the crowd and driven off, dismissing many of the young and posturing black males as thugs. But not them: innocent white kids from the suburbs.
They presumed this was post-racial America -- and that they were in an easy-going college town.
Twenty minutes later, two of them were dead.

DeleteEvidently and I tell Dixie regardless of who tries to approach you with whatever story keep moving rapidly away with stern words and your hand ready.
That is good advice for Dixie. No one has a right to ask you for anything and get close enough to you to hurt you. Any stranger who would do this to another stranger (particularly women) already knows it's not right, and he is just trolling to see who will fall for it.

I've always been somewhat of a racial realist in my life, growing up in ghetto SoCal, and that fun experience (why I live in TX now, I can't stand libtards.) I am finding it harder and harder not to be downright racist against these tribalistic thug chimps with their boxers hanging out like a deflated airbag from under they're XXXXL shirt and XXXXL jeans hanging off their knees. The goal of Johnsons "great society" was to create an entirely dependent and therefore entirely loyal voting block with the assumption that they would never try to bite the hand that fed them. Situational awareness! WTF They ought to have seen this was a very bad idea even
before they walked into the place. One of the first rules about keeping yourself
alive and your ass in one piece, is to see potential trouble far enough in
advance as to NOT be there. Weapons grade stupidity. How could those guys
see that taking theirs dates into place where they were very much out of their
element and out numbered as a bad idea? As for the those gals, where was that
female gut feeling that some was NOT right and why did they ignore it?
Wonder if they were all from the country where it's different? That's the only thing that would make sense to me as there are always men loitering around country stores in the South, but there's a big difference between those hanging around outside my friend's store in Speed than those in cities.
DeleteThese kids were from "suburban" Dallas which is code for white and affluent - they drove a long way down to College Station (which is in the middle of nowhere if you look at a map - south of Waco, west of Houston, and east of Austin) for a country-western concert that was held in the "entertainment district" near to this McDonald's, which is apparently okay in the daytime but not late at night when the bars start emptying out. All that being said, this was Stupid on Steroids -- on-the-ground observation would have told anyone with half an ounce of survival awareness to keep driving. The Media is hugely at fault for scrubbing essential information from their reporting that might help people know what they are up against out there in these 'part-time' jungles.
