The police chief in Fayetteville is offering people who possess an illegal firearm to give them up without the threat of legal action.

Chief Harold Medlock is offering amnesty to anyone who will lay down an illegal firearm. It's part of the city's effort in taking a stand against violence.

  1. An admirable idea, but having seen the stupidity of Fayettenam since being stationed at Bragg four years ago, I doubt they will get too many takers...maybe free EBT cards will get them to lay down their guns. Between this and Moose Butler running the sheriffs department, I can't wait to get out of Fayetteville

    1. A far cry from when I took Basic there in 1966, I am sure.
