Oh God forbid we have somebody 'savvy' who can understand trade deals- anything but that! We really need a community organizer instead for a change! WTF people! Got any BETTER ideas? Or just more defeatist sniping?
I trust no one anymore. There are some good people here and some good ideas. While some forms of deregulation are fine many of our current problems are due directly to deregulation. We have allowed mega-corporations to destroy local business and economies through deregulation. When corporations are global they do not care what their decisions do to America only their bottom-line matters. We need American industries with a stake in America. I do think it is time we have a Secretary of State that does not hate America. We have the energy America should not need to import one drop of energy.
It may be a perfect team or it could just be another distraction. Words are meaningless in the end only their actions will matter.
Badger - you could be right that this all a distraction/street theater and that Cruz is just another insider along with his Goldman Sachs wife playing to the Tea Party conservatives. I have thought the same thing myself on many occasions. That is the shark I am looking at now to jump: Boycott the National Election because it is all BS, and America is already most the way down the chute OR Hope and Pray that Mr. & Mrs. Cruz have played the game well just to be where they are to be our last hope in 2016 to hold on to our sovereign/albeit bankrupt nation. If they are phonies and traitors, too, then 2016 is the last election for me.
