The Revolutionary New Piece of Gun Technology That Some Are Calling ‘Scary’ and Others Are Praising as ‘F***ing Sweet’

A new Google Glass app currently in its testing phase is arguably one of the coolest gun accessories in decades.

The app is called ShotView, and it will apparently give users the ability to shoot accurately around corners, from unsupported positions, behind the back and over barricades when paired with the right firearm. The potential for this technology to be utilized in the military is glaringly obvious.

  1. The army tried to invent that about 15 years ago. It had a huge camera on the rifle, a huge viewing monocle on the soldier's helmet, over his eye, and a huge cable connecting the two. It also had an insanely heavy battery and short battery life. But the only reason we didn't get it was it was too expensive.

Is this sarcasm? Because it sounds like the shooter would have a bit of an issue with logistics - cumbersome.

reminds me of the movie, Wanted, only they were "special" special ops.

  2. 15 years ago we didn't have "google glass" technology and miniature video cameras like we have now. If they make it work it will soon hit the civilian market and immediately be used as yet another means to attack the 2nd Amendment.

  3. Isn't that basically the same as the Land Warrior the Army tried a while back?

    1. That's what I was referring to. Land Warrior continued development but without the camera, cable, helmet monitor linkage. So what we bought was a lot cheaper and couldn't shoot around corners. The modern version of it is called Nett Warrior. (named after a guy named Nett, not short for networked)
