A
Tennessee photographer has captured the frightening moment a police
officer used what looks like excessive and unnecessary force on a
college student.
The
sequence of photographs show the young man, Jarod Dotson, 22, from
Knoxville, complying with Knox County deputies as they lead him to a
police van at the University of Tennessee, before an officer uses two
hands to choke the student until he is unconscious.
Dotson
was arrested, along with a number of friends, during a wild college
party celebrating after a week of finals that spilled out onto the
street on Saturday night.

A local tv station in Knoxville reported the story citing the Daily Mail coverage. Not good journalism when you take a story from your own backyard after foriegn media exposes it. I've long suspected our local affiliates are as complacent as their parent companies in how, if at all some stories are presented.

So many things wrong here. Where does one start? First off, those clowns/A--holes in uniform are so, well to call them amatuers would be an upgrade in their status. A real pro LEO would take pride in how LITTLE force he needed to use to "get the job done".
ReplyDeleteLet's see 3 against one, each with the power to arrest, armed with mace, tazer, baton, and a handgun loaded with 12-15 rounds of hollow point ammo and like has two magazines of the same (36-45 rounds total). Likely has a ammo vest on, and has a radio on him for back up, Plus a shotgun and or a military grade rifle of the M-16 type in the trunk, against ONE unarmed guy. And they are that afraid for their safety?
I almost forgot about their standard cover their asses line: "He resisted arrest" and "I feared for my safety".
