I’ve heard that smoking marijuana can give people a craving for junk food, but I can’t for the life of me figure out how high you must be, or what drugs you must be on, to consider microwaving a handgun.
Commander Charles Heseltine of the Andover Police Department said officers were first called to the hotel around 1 p.m. on a report from hotel management that there was smoke in one of the rooms.
Inside, police found a microwave that had exploded and caught fire. Inside the destroyed oven, police found melted pieces of a Kel-Tec 9-mm handgun. Scattered around the room and on the carpet near the microwave police also found other pieces of the gun, including springs, spent shell casings and shards of plastic. They also found broken glass and the metal frame of the microwave on the floor.

My brother gave me a Kel-tech that someone gave him, but it was too small for his hand. Nice little gun. That's what George Zimmerman used to save his own life. Never occurred to me to put it in a microwave. I wonder if Hector and Soccorro were just passing thru the Peoples Republic of Massachusetts or they are legal residents.

I know the microwave is a wonderful invention, but for cleaning a gun, even this silly girl knows otherwise ;)

Yup. Have you had any trouble with your .380 stove-piping?
Deletenow the Kel-tech is a 9mm - are you referring to my other pistol, which is a .380? yes, I have had some problem with stove piping, but it's usually when I let me friend (the one who is coming with me to PATCON) use it at the range. She isn't gripping it tight enough, and it jams. Is that what you mean?

DeleteI will suggest that - she has finally settled on one that she likes, so we'll be going to the range soon for her to test it out. My biggest problem is reloading the cartridge holder fully. A revolver would solved that, but, my hands aren't that strong for cocking the trigger (carpal tunnel repairs in both hands), so I may end up with other problems - any suggestions there?
ReplyDeleteIf you have a double action, you don't have to cock the hammer which I assume is what yio meant. I got rid of my NA .380 and got a LCR .357 which I am more confident with and you can also shoot .38's in them. The .38 model is about 13 ounces where the .357 is about 17 ounces. It has a cam which makes the trigger pull seem much easier than you would expect. All I have are max load .357 ammo, but if you have some .38's you could try it when you come down.

Deletejust watched the video - that looks like a perfect revolver for what I am looking for - I didn't even know that you could get a revolver that didn't have a pull-down trigger - live & learn! I will bring my .38 and ammo when I come down and we'll just try it out. Cool ;)

Aren't they double action? The only ones I see have no external hammer.
