A Georgia teen who aspired to join the military was fatally shot by a police officer at his front door Friday night when she mistook his Wii remote control for a gun, his family’s lawyer said.
Christopher Roupe, 17, was killed by a Euharlee police officer who showed up at the door of his home in the Eagle View Mobile Home Park to serve a probation violation warrant for his father, a local news station reported.
A female police officer told investigators that Mr. Roupe pointed a gun at her when he opened the door.
“It just doesn’t add up,” said Cole Law, who is representing the Roupe family. “We don’t know where that statement came from. The eyewitnesses on the scene clearly state that he had a Wii controller in his hand. He heard a knock at the door. He asked who it was, there was no response so he opened the door and upon opening the door he was immediately shot in the chest.”

Another 35 IQ officer of the law. Never should have been admitted to any academy. Now it will be just add the 0's to the check. Of course, female, probably black. So, innocent. She'll be back on the streets in no time. The Chief should be joining her in the unemployment line, but they will both skate. Just wait. Maybe some citizens will get some payback. This is inexcusable, needless, and can never be undone. Protect & Serve? They do neither, but for themselves. Would we be better off totally without their help?

DeleteIf she was there to serve a probation violation arrest warrant, where was the probation officer that instigated the arrest warrant? Why was there no response when the young man asked who was there? Where was the back up that this retarded "police officer" should have had with her? Why when the young man opened the door was he immediately shot in the chest?
ReplyDeleteIt seems that this "officer" had her firearm pulled and aimed, at the front door, with her finger on the trigger, ready to shoot when the door opened.
Sounds like an execution to me.
She need to be executed by the citizens of Euharlee, GA.
