A 9mm Takeover?

http://www.downrange.tv/blog/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/9mmTakeOver.jpg

There has been a great deal of talk about a “9mm takeover” on the internet/blogosphere and, of course, anything you hear on the internet is correct, right? Like the insurance TV Commercial says…”anything printed on the internet has to be the truth.”

Let’s take first things first…over half of what is printed on the internet is complete and utter bullshit. Most of it is recycled from other sources by people who are not in the know and then embellished to cover “their take” on the circumstance or situation.

Second, many of the people who write a good game on the internet have no real background to make their claims which really hurts those that do talk from knowledge.

  1. As one of the commenters to that article stated, it is shot placement that counts. A guy shooting a 32 acp out of a Seecamp will win the gun battle if he put the rounds in the head or center body mass, over someone who sprays and prays.

  2. So long as people are buying these useful things I consider it Good. At the least, it gets it off of easily confiscated shelves and into the wide, untrackable world. Every piece of LBE, every round, every mag, every band aid that leaves the stores has the potential for being used for our purposes.

  3. As a proponent of the 9, I have always believed that those who are always shouting about using bigger slugs have little knowledge of the way pistol velocity bullets work. There is 1/10 of an inch difference in diameter between a .45 and a 9mm. I will take the easier to shoot and higher capacity 9mil every time. Only hits count. Only good hits count much. Mag changes take time. More ammo beats bigger ammo...until you get into artillery. -55six
