That data is totally bogus. They split all of the European Americans down into specific groups based on country of origin but group ALL black people into a misnomer called African American. I've lived in one county of coastal NC all of my 63 years and I think I know something about the demographics here. That map isn't even close without juggling the data as they have.

Yes, I'm in Carteret county and it looks as though they have it all black when it is far from that. being about 90% white.
