Let's talk about the stawmen in the current gun debate.  The biggest one is: You don't need (fill in the blanks).

You don't need an AR15 for hunting. That's true.  I've been a police officer for 30 years.  During that time I served in both the National Guard and the Army Reserves.  I carried an M16 during that time, the standard weapon of the infantryman.  I'm very comfortable with that weapon and I understand both its strengths and weaknesses.

I also hunt deer, one of my favorite hobbies, and I don't bring my AR for deer hunting.  I use a standard hunting rifle, a bolt action that holds three rounds.  For many years I hunted with a muzzleloading rifle, a single shot musket just like the Founding Fathers used against the British interlopers, and it is a fine hunting instrument.  However, this debate isn't about hunting.  This debate is about the 2nd Amendment, which has nothing to do with hunting.  The 2nd Amendment is about government intrusion and the Founders believed that the citizens should be armed as well as the government.  In times of extreme need, when government breaks down and is unable to protect The People, the people have a right to defend themselves.

Do you want to live in a police state?  I don't either, but when the police are better armed than the general public, you have the basis of a police state.  I don't want to live in a place where the police have special exemptions, where the law writes particular exemptions for the police or the government.    The law should apply to all equally, and if we don't need ARs on the streets, then the police shouldn't be allowed to have them, either.  The police are simply citizens with power of arrest, paid to do full-time what every citizen should do on an as-needed basis.

Let me say this, for the record.  In thirty years of police work, I have never had one problem with a law-abiding citizen who happened to be armed.  Not one problem.  Law abiding citizens are not the problem.

My guns are not the problem.

But, when you tell me "You Don't Need...", I wonder why you have the gall to presume to know what I need.    I'm a free American and what I need is none of your business.  How dare you presume to dictate my needs?

Representative Rosa L. DeLauro (D-CT) introduced HR 226 in the House of Representatives. What does the bill seek to do? I looks to amend the 1986 Internal Revenue code and allow a credit if taxpayers “surrender” their guns to the government. The Act is said to be cited as the “Support Assault Firearms Elimination and Reduction for our Streets Act.”
According to the text of the bill, the allowance of the credit is:
(1) In general.–In the case of an individual who surrenders a specified assault weapon to the United States or a State or local government (or political subdivision thereof) as part of a Federal, State, or local public safety program to reduce the number of privately owned weapons, on the election of the taxpayer there shall be allowed as a credit against the tax imposed by this chapter an amount equal to $2,000.
(2) Year credit allowed.–The amount of the credit under paragraph (1) shall be allowed \1/2\ for the taxable year during which the assault weapon was so surrendered and \1/2\ in the next taxable year.
Notice the purpose is not to give a credit of $2000.00, which if that is the case, one could really make a good bit of money as you can get a Bushmaster for well under $1000, but rather it is to “reduce the number of privately owned weapons.”

The bill states that the weapons must lawfully be possesssed, that it is surrendered in writing, and there can only be one weapon surrendered per tax year. So what weapons does Rep. DeLauro consider to be “assault” weapons? The list is very similar to Senator Diane Feinstein’s list. According to the bill “the term ‘specified assault weapon’ means any of the following:
(A) The following rifles or copies or duplicates
thereof:
“(i) AK, AKM, AKS, AK-47, AK-74, ARM, MAK90, Misr, NHM 90, NHM 91, SA 85, SA 93, VEPR,
“(ii) AR-10,
“(iii) AR-15, Bushmaster XM15, Armalite M15, or Olympic Arms PCR,
“(iv) AR70,
“(v) Calico Liberty,
“(vi) Dragunov SVD Sniper Rifle or Dragunov SVU,
“(vii) Fabrique National FN/FAL, FN/LAR, or FNC,

“(D) A semiautomatic rifle that has an ability to accept a detachable magazine, and that has–

“(v) a barrel shroud.
“(E)(i) Except as provided in clause (ii), a semiautomatic rifle that has a fixed magazine with the capacity to accept more than 10 rounds.
“(ii) Clause (i) shall not apply to an attached tubular device designed to accept, and capable of operating only with, .22 caliber rimfire ammunition.
“(F) A semiautomatic pistol that has the ability to accept a detachable magazine, and has–
“(i) a second pistol grip,
“(ii) a threaded barrel,
“(iii) a barrel shroud, or
“(iv) the capacity to accept a detachable magazine at a location outside of the pistol
grip.
“(G) A semiautomatic pistol with a fixed magazine that has the capacity to accept more than 10 rounds.
“(H) A semiautomatic shotgun that has–
“(i) a folding or telescoping stock,
“(ii) a pistol grip,
“(iii) the ability to accept a detachable magazine, or
“(iv) a fixed magazine capacity of more than 5 rounds.
“(I) A shotgun with a revolving cylinder.
“(J) A frame or receiver that is identical to, or based substantially on the frame or receiver of, a firearm described in any of subparagraphs (A) through
(I) or (L).
“(K) A conversion kit.
“(L) A semiautomatic rifle or shotgun originally designed for military or law enforcement use, or a firearm based on the design of such a firearm, that is not particularly suitable for sporting purposes, as determined by the Attorney General. In making the determination, there shall be a rebuttable presumption that a firearm procured for use by the United States military or any Federal law enforcement agency is not particularly suitable for sporting purposes, and a firearm shall not be determined to be particularly suitable for sporting purposes solely because the firearm is suitable for use in a sporting event.
“(2) Related definitions.–
“(A) Barrel shroud.–The term `barrel shroud’ means a shroud that is attached to, or partially or completely encircles, the barrel of a firearm so that the shroud protects the user of the firearm from heat generated by the barrel, but does not include a slide that encloses the barrel, and does not include an extension of the stock along the bottom of the barrel which does not encircle or substantially encircle the barrel.
“(B) Conversion kit.–The term `conversion kit’ means any part or combination of parts designed and intended for use in converting a firearm into a semiautomatic assault weapon, and any combination of parts from which a semiautomatic assault weapon can be assembled if the parts are in the possession or under the control of a person.
“(C) Detachable magazine.–The term `detachable magazine’ means an ammunition feeding device that can readily be inserted into a firearm.
“(D) Fixed magazine.–The term `fixed magazine’ means an ammunition feeding device contained in, or permanently attached to, a firearm.
“(E) Folding or telescoping stock.–The term `folding or telescoping stock’ means a stock that folds, telescopes, or otherwise operates to reduce the length, size, or any other dimension, or otherwise enhances the concealability, of a firearm.
“(F) Forward grip.–The term `forward grip’ means a grip located forward of the trigger that functions as a pistol grip.
“(G) Pistol grip.–The term `pistol grip’ means a grip, a thumbhole stock, or any other characteristic that can function as a grip.
“(H) Threaded barrel.–The term `threaded barrel’ means a feature or characteristic that is designed in such a manner to allow for the attachment of a firearm as defined in section 5845(a) of the National Firearms Act (26 U.S.C. 5845(a)).
The bill was referred to the Committee on Ways and Means on January 14, 2013, much like the bill that seeks to eliminate the 22nd Amendment that was put forth earlier by Congressman Jose Serrano (D-NY).

Americans must resist this kind of enticement and stand upon what the Founders provided us in the Second Amendment. If we do not make our stand on that right, we will eventually lose all other rights.

During SHTF I was jack of all trades. Resource gatherer, fighter and defender for my family and also just young man who wanted to enjoy life as good as possible in these problematic times.

In this and following articles I want to talk about different types of real survivalists. I dont want to judge here. If you have lived normal life you maybe only know glimpse of your survivor mindset.

What kind of person you are when SHTF and you fight for survival. Important to know is that people show very different faces or mindsets when it comes to real survival.

Normal people like to think that everything can be solved with doing good, so they are trying to do good. Right now here it is not important are we talking about people who believe in God or not.

We all seen TV shows where preppers are showing their stuff, talking about their plans and things for time when SHTF.

I have seen lady, she is preparing for some possible scenario and showing her food storage and talk about her plans when SHTF. And she is storing whole lot of everything, much more than she and her family needs because as she explains there is gonna be whole lot of people who have lost everything and her plan is to help them.

I feel everything best for her, she is great person. Man who wants to help other people is good person, period.

But when SHTF she is going down. Sorry for being so “negative” but when people have to decide either they die or this nice lady for many answer is easy.

When SHTF things are upside down so it is not working like people imagined. We are all living our lives today aware that bad people exist, but that bad and evil kind is more or less (depending where we are living) controlled or locked away from the society. So we are actually not aware how many bad folks are around us. You might be living with one… yourself.

When SHTF I was rudely awaken from the illusion, actually my illusion was shattered to pieces when I saw what “normal” people did to just survive. So bad people will be around.

The Story of A Man Who Only Had 7 Rounds in His Pistol

As you may or may not know, the NCDMV had started issuing drivers licenses to illegal aliens ever since President Obama enacted his Deferred Action Program. The practice was stopped a couple of weeks ago until the NCDMV could get a ruling from NC Attorney General Roy Cooper, whether the illegal aliens qualified for one under NC law in conjunction with the Presidents' program.

Today (1/17/2013) the NC Attorney General ruled that illegal aliens DO qualify for a drivers' license in NC under the Deferred Action Program of the Obama Administration.

However, it is not against the law to deny them one either. Many other states do not. It is up to the State. Just because we can give them one, doesn't mean we should give them one. A NC drivers' license is a privilege reserved for law abiding NC residents, not a right guaranteed to law breaking illegal aliens.

A NC drivers' license confers a "quasi" legal status. Obtaining a NC drivers' license is the first step in registering to vote. A few, very simply forged documents later and our system of voting has been compromised.

We should not be issuing drivers licenses to people who are illegally in our state.

We URGE you to contact the acting Head of the NCDMV and tell him NOT to reinstate the policy of issuing drivers licenses to illegal aliens in NC.

On 16 January 2013, President Barack Obama issued a series of twenty-three "executive actions" designed to control "gun violence" in America. 
The League of the South, the premier Southern nationalist organization, issued the following statement from its President, Michael Hill:

"We encourage all Southerners to defend their God-given right to self defense. To defend oneself and one's family, real property, and rights presupposes having the means to do so, and in our day that means firearms ownership and the right to keep and bear such arms whenever and wherever necessary.

We encourage our Southern State governments--the lesser magistrates--to employ the doctrines of Nullification, Interposition, and Secession to protect their citizens from unlawful encroachments by the government of the United States."

This is just the latest example of the abandonment of the principles upon which government was established on these shores. The Declaration of Independence clearly established that we as citizens "are endowed by [our] Creator with certain unalienable Rights" And just as importantly: "That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed."

Over the years the primary purpose of government – to guarantee our God-given rights – has been lost upon the corrupt and power-hungry officials in Washington, DC. This Founding principle is now looked upon as "extreme" from both sides of the aisle.

Therefore, should the U.S. government, or our State governments, decide, as did King George III in 1775, to confiscate our weapons and ammunition, then like our ancestors we shall have no choice but to declare it an act of war and meet it with a morally justifiable, righteous, and manly armed resistance.

The only way to stop this madness is for you--the citizens--to let these corrupt government officials understand that you are ready to withdraw your consent. We urge you for the benefit of your children and grandchildren to join with us in the League of The South.
 

NC: Firearm Confiscation by Law Enforcement in a Nutshell



The video was filmed at the Moccasin Creek Minutemen meeting on the 2nd amendment in Zebulon, NC on January 17, 2013. Three North Carolina sheriffs  addressed a group of over 200 people who are concerned that the federal government will infringe upon our 2nd amendment rights. The consensus after the meeting is that we are now even more concerned about our right to bear arms. All three sheriffs (Donnie Harrison-Wake County, Jerry Jones-Franklin County and Carey Winders-Wayne County) assured the people that they would not confiscate our firearms. The reason: the federal government will not pass legislation restricting the 2nd amendment.

However, if Congress did pass such legislation, they would enforce the law and we must work through the legal or legislative system to change it. I personally want to extend my appreciation to these sheriffs for meeting with us. I also personally believe that they are all good men. But:

1. It has been said that for evil men to accomplish their purpose it is only necessary that good men should do nothing.


2. Congress will pass legislation that is not supported by the majority of the people as  (Affordable Health Care).

3. Congress will pass legislation without reading (or comprehending it) as Nancy Pelosi pointed out.

4. Marbury v. Madison cited by Sheriff Harrison’s attorney is the legislation that Thomas Jefferson warned us about:

You seem to consider the judges the ultimate arbiters of all constitutional questions; a very dangerous doctrine indeed, and one which would place us under the despotism of an oligarchy. Our judges … and their power [are] the more dangerous as they are in office for life, and are not responsible, as the other functionaries are, to the elective control. The Constitution has erected no such single tribunal, knowing that to whatever hands confided, with the corruptions of time and party, its members would become despots. It has more wisely made all the departments co-equal and co-sovereign within themselves … . When the legislative or executive functionaries act unconstitutionally, they are responsible to the people in their elective capacity. The exemption of the judges from that is quite dangerous enough. I know of no safe depository of the ultimate powers of the society, but the people themselves. …. — Letter to Mr. Jarvis, Sept, 1820.

5. Over 100 people stood outside the meeting room and in the parking lot trying to hear how our sheriffs will act under what we consider unjust laws. Obviously people want to know their position on this issue. I do not consider being told that our federal government will not act to take away our rights as a valid response based on what has already transpired. And I am not alone, based on firearm and ammunition sales.

We have vain and aspiring men in our highest offices and our sheriffs should be our best defense against this tyranny. But they do not see this danger. We need statesmen instead of politicians to save our country. We also need sheriffs who will stand up for the rule of law. If they cannot distinguish between the “rule of law” and the “rule of men”, where does that leave us?

School Teaches that Whites are 'Oppressors'

If someone ever needed evidence that the agenda of the public school system has been completely taken over by radical, left-wing thinking, just look at what's being taugh at one Wisconsin school. Under the banner of "diversity," high school students are being taught that whites are the bad guys and everyone else is a victim.

As reported by Fox News, the "American Diversity" class at Delavan-Darien High School is under fire for a curriculm focused on "white guilt."

The parent, who asked not to be identified, has an 18-year-old son who was enrolled in the class and became alarmed after she looked at some of the handouts provided to the students.
"I felt it was indoctrination," she said. "This is a radical left agenda and ideology that is now embedded in our school."
The parent said the students were taught "if you're white, you're oppressing. If you're non white, you've been a victim."

In an interview with ABC News this evening, NRA President David Keene said the gun-rights lobby is aggressively preparing for “battle” with the White House and Congress over President Obama’s sweeping new proposals to curb gun violence.

Keene criticized Obama’s announcement today, surrounded by four children from around the country, for “using kids to advance an ideological agenda.” And he expressed cautious confidence that few of the legislative measures would ultimately pass.

“It’s going to be very tough for the president to accomplish some of these things, but that doesn’t mean he can’t do it if he really turns it on,” Keene told ABC.

“All bets are off when a president really wants to go to war with you,” he said. “We’re gonna be there and we’re gonna fight it.”

Keene said passage of the 1994 assault weapons ban remains fresh in the minds of NRA leaders, noting that initial widespread congressional opposition gradually gave way to a narrow margin in favor, thanks in part to pressure from then-President Bill Clinton.

NRA members would hold accountable any politicians who “sell them out to some pie-in-the-sky scheme such as the president is proposing,” he said.

The nation's biggest arms store, Charlotte, N.C.'s Hyatt Gun Shop, is calling on gun owners to revolt against President Obama's new gun control move, warning that Washington has its eyes on trashing the Second Amendment and stealing gun rights.
 
Hyatt has turned part of its retail webpage over to the plea for action: "Whining to other gun owners and giving up on dialogue with your representatives in Congress is how you GIVE AWAY your gun rights! Remember to contact your representative and senator TODAY and keep contacting them. We cannot stress this enough!"

Owner Larry Hyatt told Secrets, "People are outraged. They hate the government. I don't think we've seen this much divisiveness since the Civil War."

Hyatt's store is big. Secrets toured it during the Democratic National Convention. He describes it as America's largest gun store and it sells many of the weapons the president wants to ban, like assault-style rifles and high-capacity magazines.

He is urging gun owners to beg their House and Senate members to temper the president's effort. "Don't waste your time with the president," he said, adding: "The American people are the most scared of the government and what it might do next."

He said that his store has been flooded with customers since Obama began talking about gun control following the December Sandy Hook Elementary School shootings in Newtown, Conn. New gun permits in his county have tripled to 260 a day and Hyatt's classes for those seeking permits to carry a concealed weapon have jumped from 20 to 67. "There are so many people that we can't get them in," he said.

Anonymous likens Obama gun control policy to Hitler

 

Hacktivist group Anonymous has now spoken out against President Barack Obama’s intentions to enact wider gun control in the U.S.

In a 15-minute YouTube video, which first appeared on the social network two weeks ago, Anonymous criticized the Obama administration’s leveraging of violent gun crime to achieve its goal to control guns.
“Throughout history, authoritarian governments have used gun violence as an excuse to take people’s firearms and control their population,” said Anonymous.

“This is exactly what Adolf Hitler did to disarm the German people and look at the atrocities his administration did. Obama has been working hard to try and ban all semi-automatic weapons and shot guns while at the same time increasing the weapons and firepower that police and government agencies have.”

The video, which continued on to list various violent crimes and criticize the lack of media attention drawn to those instances, has since been replicated and posted on a number of other user accounts in recent days in anticipation over Obama’s executive actions for greater gun control.

We will die in battle before we give up our arms and leave our children in slavery.

We will not register ourselves or our arms.   Registration is the prerequisite to confiscation, which is the prerequisite to dictatorship and extermination.  We will NOT be photographed, finger-printed, tracked, and subjected to psych-evaluations like convicted sex-offenders just for owning semi-automatic rifles.  Doing so is itself an act of surrender and submission, taking the mark of the slave (it is akin to taking the mark of the Beast).

We will NOT obey any order to disarm the American people or compel registration
The attempt to disarm the people on April 19, 1775 was the spark of open conflict in the American Revolution.  It was an act of war, and our forefathers fought back in justified, righteous self-defense of their natural rights.  Any such order today would also be an act of war against the American people, and thus an act of treason.  Those of us who are still current serving will not enforce any attempt to register either gun owners or guns, or to ban the sale, possession, or transfer of any semi-automatic rifles, handguns, or full capacity ammunition magazines, which are precisely the kinds of weapons the American people need to defend their lives and liberty.

We will interpose ourselves between the people and the oath breakers and traitors who try to disarm them.
We will step in between the people in our communities and any oath breaker who attempts to carry out such orders, regardless of their title, their office, their uniform, or who sent them.  When they step outside the law – outside the Constitution – they are no better than violent street criminals and we will protect the people from them.

We will keep the oaths we swore to almighty God to defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic.  That oath does not expire until we do.  American patriots, Oath Keepers, what say you?   Will you pledge the same?

Peshmerga women fighters


This first picture of the Peshmerga woman is one of my all-time favorites.  It has been in many mailings of mine.  Our royal leaders are alienating them and driving them into the Iranians arms.

It is painfully evident to me that there is no crime that Muslims can commit that will get this Administration's attention.  I guess the first part of that last sentence says it all.  Put a period after commit.  Their flunkies make statements but our Royal Rulers stay silent.  They are dedicated to disarming you and me but not any members of the Religion of Peace, no matter how many they kill.

We had the Turkish Kurds on our side but O and H have pulled away from them and left them to Iran.  The Peshmerga women fighters would have been our best friends in the ME.  

(Added, to Brock Townsend) I think H and O are threatened by real, strong, sexy women.  We're not, are we.

How to crush Democrats' dumbest (but pervasive) gun control argument

Let's be clear. The Second Amendment was not written to protect your right to kill a deer. It was designed to protect your right to defend yourself against all enemies, foreign and domestic. Your right to bear arms is the only guarantor of your other rights to life, liberty, property, speech and all the rest.



The never-let-a-crisis-go-to-waste Left is in assault mode on your Second Amendment rights. These gun grabbers think they're so clever with this line of questioning which (frustratingly) seems to stump the unprepared:
The Framers didn't write the Second Amendment with AR-15's in mind. Where do you stop? Should citizens be allowed to have nuclear weapons?
This is a hanging curve ball just waiting for you to crush it.

First of all, remind Democrats that the Framers didn't write the First Amendment with cable television, Internet communications or even the telegraph in mind. Should we limit the press's freedom of speech to the movable type printing press which was the primary means of mass communication at the time of the Framers?

More importantly, don't let the nuclear weapon ruse intimidate you. [For fun, pronounce it /nuke 'yuh ler/ just to show 'em who's boss.] The limits of the Second Amendment is a fair question that deserves an answer. GRNC files parks lawsuit against Winston-Salem

As we have promised, Grass Roots North Carolina’s non-profit arm has struck a blow for those who carry firearms for self-protection by filing its lawsuit against the city of Winston-Salem.

     GRNC’s sister organization is Rights Watch International (RWI), and the lawsuit concerns the city’s willful disregard of state law enabling firearms carry in municipal parks.

Cities thumb their noses at state law

     As you may recall, part of House Bill 650 expands concealed carry into state and municipal parks. A weakening amendment to the bill, however, still allows municipalities and counties to ban guns in narrowly defined “recreational facilities,” defined in the statute to include only athletic fields, playgrounds, swimming pools, and athletic facilities.

     Immediately, anti-gun city governments began looking for ways to undermine the law, including torturing the definition of “recreational facility” to continue banning guns in whole parks. One city even tried to redefine lakes as “swimming pools.”

     Among the worst offenders is Winston-Salem, whose ordinance continues to ban concealed carry on greenways, hiking trails, and whole lakes. When RWI informed Winston-Salem of its violation of the law, the city arrogantly replied:

”… the City Council will not entertain your request that it amend its ordinance.”

Specifics of the Winston-Salem suit

     Filed on behalf of plaintiffs David Childs, Shannon West, Christopher Hjelm, and Rights Watch International, the lawsuit says in part:

Disregarding N.C.G.S. § 14-415.23, and the Plaintiffs’ constitutional rights, the Defendants have illegally imposed restrictions on a citizen’s right to posses or carry a concealed handgun in city parks, lakes, greenways and other property in excess of the authority delegated to the Defendants by the General Assembly in N.C.G.S. § 14-415.23.”

Second Amendment claim benefits open carry

Item 34 of the complaint argues that a blanket gun ban in parks violates the Second Amendment rights of all who want to be able to protect themselves in such places, rather than just concealed handgun permit-holders:

Subsection 38-10(c) and Subsection 38-10(d) of the Code City Ordinances of Winston-Salem, as amended by Ordinance No. 4735, violate Plaintiffs’ constitutional rights under the Second, Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments of the United States Constitution and the corresponding provisions of the North Carolina Constitution by operating together to create a total ban of the exercise of Plaintiffs’ constitutional right to keep and bear arms in the City’s parks.

REPUBLICAN INSIDER: Obama Livid Over Gun Rights Backlash

Like me you were probably watching the president’s gun control speech today.  Was told this morning the presentation today was a revised version that was completed just last night after a bunch of back and forth between the White House and Senate leaders.  Guessing that would be Harry Reid mostly.  Last week the president was ready to go all in on the executive order scenario.  Confiscation was going to be in play.  Then the backlash came and it forced Obama to back off.  He didn’t want to but after Reid said it was a no go, and the NRA was preparing to go to war with the White House, the president was given a revised script and that is what we heard this morning.    You could tell too.  Obama stumbled over the words more than usual.  He didn’t have the time to prep the script like he normally does.  Probably fuming he was forced to read the new version also.  

This time WE WON and OBAMA LOST.  

If people want to know how to go at the administration, this is how you do it.  Be informed, and make your voices heard.  This is an example of how the new media I have been telling you about can work against the globalists.  It can be a huge weapon against them.  And a big thank you to the NRA.  It took on Obama and didn’t back off.  A big part of the plan coming from the White House was to cripple the NRA and make it a liability for 2014 and beyond.  That didn’t work and it will be a liability, but one that is going to hurt Democrats, not conservatives.

47 states revolt against Obama gun control

Thousands of gun owners across America have had enough of the Obama administration’s attack on the Second Amendment – and they’re preparing to take their concerns to the capitols in at least 47 states this Saturday at 12 p.m.

Texan Eric Reed, founder and national  coordinator of the “Guns Across America” rallies, told WND he’s irritated about all the talk of new gun-control regulations and overreach by the federal government in violation of our Second Amendment rights.

“I was trying to figure out why people weren’t being more proactive about this, Reed said. “Then I realized I’m part of the problem. It takes somebody to stand up and say, ‘Hey, we’re not going to accept this. We’re against it.’

“We want Americans who feel the same way to come out. We want to stand up, be united and get our point across.”
