  1. what a crock. This same B.S. ended up in almost every movie about Vietnam vets in the 80's. They were broken men, on the ragged edge. Funny, most of them, like my father, came back and went to work and raised a family and did their part to continue building America. They "needed" help and the progressive hand wringers of the social and psychological (math free) sciences jumped onto this new Temperance Crusade with both feet. What better job is there than trying to catch an undefined and amporphous malady... it never ends, paycheck guaranteed.
This is a "TED" talk, right? I've watched some of them on netflix. They're at best a high level overflight of a subject that is touted as a solution. It's a solution without the messy, sweaty things like details and labor. Hipsters use these so they can express their alleged knowledge of a subject in a 140 word or less "tweet" and use it as a social bona fides of how they "care".

So here we see one veteran, who has some personal problems. Maybe not his fault entirely. But they are his. I learned that in the service, your fault, his fault, nobody's fault doesn't matter. Fix the problem. Exept these worthless progressives have latched onto this guy now, and are going to use the shit out of him. And they're looking for more, except they won't find that many more. Because most of the vets, they came back, went to work and continued to build their lives, familes and America...

Agreed and the DI stuff was beyond the pale. Every year the VA wants you to go to their "Cancer Survivor" party to which I decline. What a waste of time, just leave me alone.

    2. Yes, that idiocy at the beginning was straight out of "Full Metal Jacket" and any other 4 movies about "the military" that you care to pick. Granted, the Marine Corp used that but it was over 40 years ago. I doubt that the new Stress Cards have that printed on the back. Hollywood provides a useful window into the minds and souls of the left at times. They think servicemen are mindless robots. They'll be shocked when the order finally goes out to turn on Americans. The old line communists sure were in 93, when those tanks started shelling the high rise they were boarded up in.

Also, it's like Apocalypse Now. Which became the defacto memories that were seared into John Kerry's mind. Progressives are plastic, shallow people. They exist merely because they haven't become enough of a bother to eradicate. Just yet. But they're pushing the line. Hard.

These parasites disgust me. I will pile them onto the fire for using the weak and helpless first chance I get, too. Me and millions of other real people. Real fed up people.
