TSA To Roll Out “Covert Surveillance” Vans

 dhs surveillance

In another indication of how the TSA is expanding its turf way beyond airport security, the federal agency is about to roll out high-tech vehicles that will utilize secret technology to conduct “covert surveillance operations” in cities around the country.

According to a synopsis posted on the Federal Business Opportunities website (PDF), the TSA is set to purchase technology to retrofit three vans in Arlington, VA, Chicago, IL, and San Francisco, CA in order to convert them into surveillance vehicles that will “conduct covert surveillance operations in the course of investigations.”

Precisely where such covert surveillance will take place is not mentioned, although in 2010 it was revealed that US government agencies were already using roving street surveillance vans that deployed backscatter x-ray vision technology to inspect other vehicles.

  2. How much you wanna bet that we see TSA coming to shopping Malls and Grocery stores? I wonder if that's what the Arab F&F (Bengazi) guns were for. A mall attack in Kenya as a drill-a dry run as they say, for a hit on an American gun free zone. Nothing like a Terrorist attack to stampede the sheeple.---Ray

  3. The xray vans were probably being used before 2010, and the new spying may already be occurring. Here's a related story:

  4. Study the tactics used by insurgents in Iraq, Afghanistan and other combat zones. These are the skills, devices and strategies we will need in the upcoming war. I see too many “preppers” buying expensive guns and stockpiling mountains of ammunition. When the war comes, it will not be the high tech weapons that make the difference. Look back all the way to Vietnam the VC did not have anything high tech but by using skill and what they had defeated America. Look at Iraq our opposition there was winning until we simply overwhelmed them with force. Afghanistan unlike Iraq is too large to be overwhelmed and we are losing. American troops can secure small areas but the country overall is free from American influence. Afghanistan is tiny when compared to the United States.

When the war comes, they will not have the resources to replace lost vehicles and resources. There is no weapon any prepper has that will stop a battle tank or many of the armored vehicles. The secret will be not to attack them directly. A canister of thermite set on the track above the drive gear and that tank is now immobilized. With the country at war with itself there will no replacement parts. Same with the armored vehicles disable them and they simply become a deathtrap. What I am advising is to begin to think unconventional. History is full of examples where the under equipped force defeats a better-outfitted foe.

Your survival may very well depend on being able to stop Obama’s Gestapo in Homeland Security. I believe Obama does not trust the rank in file military to follow orders to attack American civilians. The generals would they are much like the Vichy French under the Nazi’s rule. They would simply follow orders. The police are much harder to predict. While I currently consider the police as an enemy that may change when TSHTF and they are forced to decide between following orders or what is right. Will they continue to be tools of the state or will they decide to be a force for freedom.

    2. There is American precedent for that type of warfare. Look at
Francis Marion and also at the tactics of the American Indians.

From an academic point of view, if a full scale civil war broke out in the US, who would the foreign powers support... if either side?

    3. If they were smart they would keep out of it, but we all know how that goes.
