    Mercy. Somehow most every account I have ever read about amputation during the WBTS, the amputee was not quite so cheerful. I would think that you'd need that brandy before.....

    The info is interesting though, although I'm sure it's not quite that neat in practice. Info to store away, but I hope I never need it.

      I believe many of the Confederates had nothing, but a bullet to bite on.
